1 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶଲୋମନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଗୃହ ଓ ଆପଣା ରାଜ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ମନସ୍ଥ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the Name of the LORD and a royal palace for himself.
2 ULB ପୁଣି ଶଲୋମନ ଭାରବହନାର୍ଥେ ସତୁରି ହଜାର ଲୋକ ଓ ପର୍ବତରେ ଅଶୀ ହଜାର କଟାଳି ଲୋକ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାରଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତିନି ହଜାର ଛଅ ଶହ ଲୋକ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କଲେ। BSB BSB: So he conscripted 70,000 porters, 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 supervisors.
3 ULB ଆଉ ଶଲୋମନ ସୋରର ରାଜା ହୂରମ୍ ନିକଟକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ କହିଲେ, “ଆପଣ ମୋ’ ପିତା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଯେପରି ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଥିଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ବସତି-ଗୃହର ନିର୍ମାଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏରସ କାଷ୍ଠ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ, ସେହିପରି ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି ବ୍ୟବହାର କରନ୍ତୁ। BSB BSB: Then Solomon sent word to Hiram king of Tyre: “Do for me as you did for my father David when you sent him cedars to build himself a house to live in.
4 ULB ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋ’ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ଅଛି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ନିତ୍ୟ ଦର୍ଶନୀୟ ରୁଟି ପାଇଁ, ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ଓ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାରେ, ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ଓ ଅମାବାସ୍ୟାରେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିରୂପିତ ପର୍ବସବୁରେ ହୋମବଳି ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ମୁଁ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା କରିବି। ଏହା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ପ୍ରତି ନିତ୍ୟ ଏକ ବିଧି ଅଟେ। BSB BSB: Behold, I am about to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God to dedicate to Him for burning fragrant incense before Him, for displaying the showbread continuously, and for making burnt offerings every morning and evening as well as on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts of the LORD our God. This is ordained for Israel forever.
5 ULB ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବି, ତାହା ବୃହତ୍ ହେବ; କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେବତାଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମହାନ୍ ଅଟନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: The house that I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.
6 ULB ମାତ୍ର ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ କିଏ ସମର୍ଥ? ଯେହେତୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ ଓ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ ହିଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧାରଣ କରି ନ ପାରେ; ତେବେ ମୁଁ କିଏ ଯେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବି? କେବଳ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା ପାଇଁ ତାହା କରିବି। BSB BSB: But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain Him? Who then am I, that I should build a house for Him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before Him?
7 ULB ଏହେତୁ ମୋ’ ପିତା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଯେଉଁ ନିପୁଣ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାରେ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ମୋ’ ନିକଟରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସୁନା, ରୂପା, ପିତ୍ତଳ, ଲୁହା, ଧୂମ୍ର, ସିନ୍ଦୂର ଓ ନୀଳସୂତ୍ରର କର୍ମରେ ଓ ସର୍ବପ୍ରକାର ଖୋଦନ-କର୍ମରେ ନିପୁଣ ଏକ ଲୋକକୁ ମୋ’ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଉନ୍ତୁ। BSB BSB: Send me, therefore, a craftsman skilled in engraving to work with gold and silver, with bronze and iron, and with purple, crimson, and blue yarn. He will work with my craftsmen in Judah and Jerusalem, whom my father David provided.
8 ULB ଆହୁରି ଲିବାନୋନରୁ ଏରସ କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ଦେବଦାରୁ କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ଚନ୍ଦନ କାଷ୍ଠ ମୋ’ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଉନ୍ତୁ; କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନେ ଲିବାନୋନରେ କାଷ୍ଠ କାଟିବାରେ ନିପୁଣ; BSB BSB: Send me also cedar, cypress, and algum logs from Lebanon, for I know that your servants have skill to cut timber there. And indeed, my servants will work with yours
9 ULB ଆଉ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ମୋ’ ଦାସମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚୁର କାଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ରହିବେ; ଯେହେତୁ ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ଅଛି, ତାହା ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଓ ବୃହତ୍ ହେବ। BSB BSB: to prepare for me timber in abundance, because the temple I am building will be great and wonderful.
10 ULB ଆଉ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ କାଠକଟାଳୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହଜାର ମହଣ ମଳା ଗହମ ଓ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହଜାର ମହଣ ଯବ ଓ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହଜାର ମହଣ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଓ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହଜାର ମହଣ ତୈଳ ଦେବି।” BSB BSB: I will pay your servants, the woodcutters, 20,000 cors of ground wheat, 20,000 cors of barley, 20,000 baths of wine, and 20,000 baths of olive oil.”
11 ULB ତହିଁରେ ସୋରର ରାଜା ହୂରମ୍ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହି ଉତ୍ତର ଲେଖି ପଠାଇଲା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତି, ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରାଜା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Then Hiram king of Tyre wrote a letter in reply to Solomon: “Because the LORD loves His people, He has set you over them as king.”
12 ULB ହୂରମ୍ ଆହୁରି କହିଲା, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀର ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଧନ୍ୟ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଗୃହ ଓ ଆପଣା ରାଜ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଓ ବିବେଚନାବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଏକ ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ ପୁତ୍ର ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: And Hiram added: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth! He has given King David a wise son with insight and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD and a royal palace for himself.
13 ULB ଏବେ ମୁଁ ମୋ’ ପିତା ହୂରମ୍ଙ୍କର ଏକ ଜଣ ନିପୁଣ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇଲି, BSB BSB: So now I am sending you Huram-abi, a skillful man endowed with creativity.
14 ULB ସେ ଦାନ୍ ବଂଶୀୟା ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ପୁତ୍ର, ତାହାର ପିତା ସୋରୀୟ ଲୋକ ଥିଲା, ସେ ସୁନା, ରୂପା, ପିତ୍ତଳ, ଲୁହା, ପ୍ରସ୍ତର, କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ଧୂମ, ନୀଳ, କ୍ଷୌମ ଓ ସିନ୍ଦୂରବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସୂତ୍ରର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ, ମଧ୍ୟ ସର୍ବପ୍ରକାର ଖୋଦନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଓ ସର୍ବ ପ୍ରକାର କଳ୍ପନାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ନିପୁଣ; ତାହାକୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିପୁଣ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପିତା ମୋ’ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନିପୁଣ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ଥାନ ଦିଆଯାଉ। BSB BSB: He is the son of a woman from the daughters of Dan, and his father is a man of Tyre. He is skilled in work with gold and silver, bronze and iron, stone and wood, purple, blue, and crimson yarn, and fine linen. He is experienced in every kind of engraving and can execute any design that is given him. He will work with your craftsmen and with those of my lord, your father David.
15 ULB ଏହେତୁ ମୋ’ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେଉଁ ଗହମ ଓ ଯବ, ତୈଳ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ବିଷୟ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ସେ ଆପଣା ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇ ଦେଉନ୍ତୁ; BSB BSB: Now let my lord send to his servants the wheat, barley, olive oil, and wine he promised.
16 ULB ତହିଁରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଯେତେ କାଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରୟୋଜନ ହେବ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲିବାନୋନରୁ କାଟିବୁ; ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭେଳା ବାନ୍ଧି ସମୁଦ୍ର ପଥରେ ଯାଫୋରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚାଇ ଦେବୁ; ତହୁଁ ଆପଣ ତାହା ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ନେଇ ଯିବେ। BSB BSB: We will cut logs from Lebanon, as many as you need, and we will float them to you as rafts by sea down to Joppa. Then you can take them up to Jerusalem.”
17 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶଲୋମନ ଆପଣା ପିତା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର କୃତ ଗଣନା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବାସକାରୀ ବିଦେଶୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଗଣନା କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷ ତେପନ ହଜାର ଛଅ ଶହ ଲୋକ ମିଳିଲେ। BSB BSB: Solomon numbered all the foreign men in the land of Israel following the census his father David had conducted, and there were found to be 153,600 in all.
18 ULB ତହୁଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଭାର ବହିବା ପାଇଁ ସତୁରି ହଜାର ଲୋକ ଓ ପର୍ବତରେ ଅଶୀ ହଜାର କଟାଳି ଲୋକ ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରାଇବା ପାଇଁ ତିନି ହଜାର ଛଅ ଶହ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଶାସକଙ୍କୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Solomon made 70,000 of them porters, 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 supervisors.
