1 ULB ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କ ଦଳର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ବିଧବା ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କରି କହିଲା, “ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ମୋ’ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ମରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁଥିଲେ, ଏହା ଆପଣ ଜାଣନ୍ତି; ଏବେ ମହାଜନ ମୋହର ଦୁଇ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାର ଦାସ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନେବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛି।” BSB BSB: Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant, my husband, is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And now his creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves!”
2 ULB ତହିଁରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କ’ଣ କରିବି? ମୋତେ କୁହ; ଘରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର କ’ଣ ଅଛି?” ଏଥିରେ ସେ କହିଲା, “ଏକ ପାତ୍ର ତୈଳ ଛଡ଼ା ଗୃହରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସୀର ଆଉ କିଛି ନାହିଁ।” BSB BSB: “How can I help you?” asked Elisha. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” She answered, “Your servant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
3 ULB ତହୁଁ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଅ, ବାହାରୁ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରତିବାସୀଠାରୁ ପାତ୍ର, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଶୂନ୍ୟ ପାତ୍ର ଉଧାର କରି ଆଣ; ଅଳ୍ପ ଉଧାର କର ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: “Go,” said Elisha, “borrow empty jars from all your neighbors. Do not gather just a few.
4 ULB ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗୃହ ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାର ଓ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ପଛେ ଦ୍ୱାର ବନ୍ଦ କରି ସେସବୁ ପାତ୍ରରେ ତୈଳ ଅଜାଡ଼; ଆଉ ଯେଉଁ ପାତ୍ର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଏ, ତାହା ଅଲଗା କରି ରଖ।” BSB BSB: Then go inside, shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour oil into all these jars, setting the full ones aside.”
5 ULB ତହୁଁ ସେହି ବିଧବା ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାର ଓ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ପଛେ ଦ୍ୱାର ବନ୍ଦ କଲା; ସେମାନେ ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ପାତ୍ର ଆଣନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଅଜାଡ଼ିଲା। BSB BSB: So she left him, and after she had shut the door behind her and her sons, they kept bringing jars to her, and she kept pouring.
6 ULB ତହୁଁ ପାତ୍ରସକଳ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରକୁ କହିଲା, “ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ପାତ୍ର ମୋ’ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣ।” ଏଥିରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲା, “ଆଉ ପାତ୍ର ନାହିଁ।” ତହିଁରେ ତୈଳ ବନ୍ଦ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another.” But he replied, “There are no more jars.” Then the oil stopped flowing.
7 ULB ତେବେ ସେହି ବିଧବା ଆସି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ତାହା ଜଣାଇଲା। ଏଥିରେ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଅ, ତୈଳ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରି ଆପଣା ଋଣ ପରିଶୋଧ କର, ପୁଣି ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ଜୀବନଯାପନ କର।” BSB BSB: She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt. Then you and your sons can live on the remainder.”
8 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦିନକରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଶୂନେମ ନଗରକୁ ଗଲେ, ସେଠାରେ ଏକ ଧନବତୀ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥିଲା; ଆଉ ସେ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ନ ଭୋଜନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାଇଲା। ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଯେତେ ଥର ସେହି ପଥ ଦେଇ ଗଲେ, ସେତେ ଥର ଅନ୍ନ ଭୋଜନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେଠାକୁ ଗଲେ। BSB BSB: One day Elisha went to Shunem, and a prominent woman who lived there persuaded him to have a meal. So whenever he would pass by, he would stop there to eat.
9 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀକୁ କହିଲା, “ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣି ପାରୁଛି, ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିତ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟ ଦେଇ ଗତାୟାତ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଏକ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକ ଅଟନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Then the woman said to her husband, “Behold, now I know that the one who often comes our way is a holy man of God.
10 ULB ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଉପରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସାନ କୋଠରି ନିର୍ମାଣ କରୁ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଖଟ, ମେଜ, ଆସନ ଓ ଦୀପରୁଖା ରଖୁ; ତହୁଁ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବା ବେଳେ ସେଠାରେ ରହିବେ।” BSB BSB: Please let us make a small room upstairs and put in it a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp for him. Then when he comes to us, he can stay there.”
11 ULB ଦିନକରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ସେଠାକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେହି କୋଠରିକୁ ଯାଇ ଶୟନ କଲେ। BSB BSB: One day Elisha came to visit and went to his upper room to lie down.
12 ULB ପୁଣି ସେ ଆପଣା ଦାସ ଗିହେଜୀକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ଶୁନେମୀୟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଡାକ।” ତହୁଁ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଡାକନ୍ତେ, ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: And he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call the Shunammite woman.” And when he had called her, she stood before him,
13 ULB ଏଥିରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଗିହେଜୀକୁ କହିଲେ, “ତାଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏସମସ୍ତ ଚିନ୍ତାରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଚିନ୍ତିତ ହୋଇଅଛ; ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିମନ୍ତେ କ’ଣ କରି ପାରିବି? ମୋତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ରାଜା କିମ୍ବା ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ କିଛି କହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛ କି?’” ତହୁଁ ସେ ଉତ୍ତର କଲା, “ମୁଁ ନିଜ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛି।” BSB BSB: and Elisha said to Gehazi, “Now tell her, ‘Look, you have gone to all this trouble for us. What can we do for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?’” “I have a home among my own people,” she replied.
14 ULB ପୁଣି ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ ତାହା ପାଇଁ କ’ଣ କରାଯିବ?” ତହିଁରେ ଗିହେଜୀ ଉତ୍ତର କଲା, “ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ର ନାହିଁ ଓ ତାହାର ସ୍ୱାମୀ ବୃଦ୍ଧ।” BSB BSB: So he asked, “Then what should be done for her?” “Well, she has no son,” Gehazi replied, “and her husband is old.”
15 ULB ତେବେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ତାଙ୍କୁ ଡାକ।” ଏଣୁ ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଡାକନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: “Call her,” said Elisha. So Gehazi called her, and she stood in the doorway.
16 ULB ତହୁଁ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ଋତୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ କୋଳ କରିବ।” ଏଥିରେ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଲା, “ନା, ହେ ମୋର ପ୍ରଭୁ, ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ଆପଣା ଦାସୀକୁ ଆପଣ ମିଥ୍ୟା ନ କହନ୍ତୁ।” BSB BSB: And Elisha declared, “At this time next year, you will hold a son in your arms.” “No, my lord,” she said. “Do not lie to your maidservant, O man of God.”
17 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଗର୍ଭଧାରଣ କରି ଉକ୍ତ ଋତୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ଏକ ପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରସବ କଲା। BSB BSB: But the woman did conceive, and at that time the next year she gave birth to a son, just as Elisha had told her.
18 ULB ପୁଣି ବାଳକ ବଢ଼ିଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦିନକରେ ସେ ଶସ୍ୟଚ୍ଛେଦକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣା ପିତା ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲା। BSB BSB: And the child grew, and one day he went out to his father, who was with the harvesters.
19 ULB ଆଉ ସେ ଆପଣା ପିତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ମୋ’ ମସ୍ତକ, ମୋ’ ମସ୍ତକ।” ତହୁଁ ପିତା ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ କହିଲା, “ତାହାର ମାତା ନିକଟକୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉଠାଇ ନେଇଯାଅ।” BSB BSB: “My head! My head!” he complained to his father. So his father told a servant, “Carry him to his mother.”
20 ULB ଆଉ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଉଠାଇ ନେଇ ତାହାର ମାତା ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣନ୍ତେ, ବାଳକ ମଧ୍ୟାହ୍ନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାର କୋଳରେ ବସି ମରିଗଲା। BSB BSB: After the servant had picked him up and carried him to his mother, the boy sat on her lap until noon, and then he died.
21 ULB ଏଥିରେ ମାତା ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଖଟରେ ତାହାକୁ ଶୁଆଇ ଦ୍ୱାର ବନ୍ଦ କରି ବାହାରି ଆସିଲା। BSB BSB: And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God. Then she shut the door and went out.
22 ULB ପୁଣି ସେ ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲା, “ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣକୁ ଓ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭୀରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ମୋ’ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଦିଅ, ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଦୌଡ଼ିଯାଇ ଫେରି ଆସିବି।” BSB BSB: And the woman called her husband and said, “Please send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may go quickly to the man of God and return.”
23 ULB ତହିଁରେ ତାହାର ସ୍ୱାମୀ କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଜି ଯିବ? ଏ ତ ଅମାବାସ୍ୟା ନୁହେଁ କି ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ନୁହେଁ।” ଏଥିରେ ସେ କହିଲା, “ଭଲ ହେବ।” BSB BSB: “Why would you go to him today?” he replied. “It is not a New Moon or a Sabbath.” “Everything is all right,” she said.
24 ULB ତହୁଁ ସେ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭୀ ସଜାଇ ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ କହିଲା, “ଅଡ଼ାଇ ଚାଲ; ମୋ’ ଆଜ୍ଞା ବିନା ଚଲାଇବାରେ ଢିଲା କର ନାହିଁ।” BSB BSB: Then she saddled the donkey and told her servant, “Drive onward; do not slow the pace for me unless I tell you.”
25 ULB ଏହିରୂପେ ସେ ଯାଇ କର୍ମିଲ ପର୍ବତରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲା। ତହିଁରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ ଦୂରରୁ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖି ଆପଣା ଦାସ ଗିହେଜୀକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ସେଠାରେ ଶୁନେମୀୟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ; BSB BSB: So she set out and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her at a distance, he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, there is the Shunammite woman.
26 ULB ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଦୌଡ଼ିଯାଇ ତାହାକୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରି ପଚାର, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ତ? ତୁମ୍ଭ ସ୍ୱାମୀର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ତ? ବାଳକର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ତ?’” ତହୁଁ ସେ ଉତ୍ତର କଲା, “ମଙ୍ଗଳ।” BSB BSB: Please run out now to meet her and ask, ‘Are you all right? Is your husband all right? Is your child all right?’” And she answered, “Everything is all right.”
27 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ପର୍ବତରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ତାଙ୍କ ଚରଣ ଧରି ରହିଲା। ତହିଁରେ ଗିହେଜୀ ତାହାକୁ ଛଡ଼ାଇ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲା; ମାତ୍ର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ କହିଲେ, “ତାହାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଅ; କାରଣ ତାହାର ଅନ୍ତରରେ ତାହାର ପ୍ରାଣ ଶୋକାକୁଳ ହୋଇଅଛି; ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋ’ଠାରୁ ତାହା ଗୋପନରେ ରଖିଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି ତାହା ମୋତେ ଜଣାଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି।” BSB BSB: When she reached the man of God at the mountain, she clung to his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away, but the man of God said, “Leave her alone, for her soul is in deep distress, and the LORD has hidden it from me and has not told me.”
28 ULB ଏଥିରେ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଲା, “ମୋ’ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ କ’ଣ ପୁତ୍ର ମାଗିଥିଲି? ମୁଁ କି କହି ନ ଥିଲି, ‘ମୋତେ ପ୍ରତାରଣା ନ କର?’” BSB BSB: Then she said, “Did I ask you for a son, my lord? Didn’t I say, ‘Do not deceive me?’”
29 ULB ତହୁଁ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଗିହେଜୀକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆପଣା ଅଣ୍ଟା ବାନ୍ଧ ଓ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ମୋହର ଯଷ୍ଟି ନେଇ ଆପଣା ବାଟେ ଚାଲିଯାଅ; ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ଲୋକକୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କର, ତାହାକୁ ନମସ୍କାର କର ନାହିଁ; ଆଉ ଯଦି କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନମସ୍କାର କରନ୍ତି, ତାହାକୁ ଫେରି ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି ମୋ’ ଯଷ୍ଟି ସେହି ବାଳକର ମୁଖ ଉପରେ ରଖ।” BSB BSB: So Elisha said to Gehazi, “Tie up your garment, take my staff in your hand, and go! If you meet anyone, do not greet him, and if anyone greets you, do not answer him. Then lay my staff on the boy’s face.”
30 ULB ଏଥିରେ ବାଳକର ମାତା କହିଲା, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ିବି ନାହିଁ।” ତେଣୁ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଉଠି ତାହାର ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ। BSB BSB: And the mother of the boy said, “As surely as the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So he got up and followed her.
31 ULB ଏଥି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗିହେଜୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଯାଇ ବାଳକର ମୁଖ ଉପରେ ଯଷ୍ଟି ରଖିଲା; ମାତ୍ର କୌଣସି ରବ କି ଶ୍ରବଣ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ। ଏହେତୁ ଗିହେଜୀ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଫେରି ଆସି ତାଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇ କହିଲା, “ବାଳକ ଜାଗି ନାହିଁ।” BSB BSB: Gehazi went on ahead of them and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or response. So he went back to meet Elisha and told him, “The boy has not awakened.”
32 ULB ତହୁଁ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ସେ ଗୃହକୁ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ଦେଖ, ବାଳକ ମରି ତାଙ୍କର ଶଯ୍ୟାରେ ଶୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: When Elisha reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on his bed.
33 ULB ଏହେତୁ ସେ ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ନିଜେ ଓ ବାଳକ ଉଭୟେ ରହି ଦ୍ୱାର ବନ୍ଦ କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ। BSB BSB: So he went in, closed the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the LORD.
34 ULB ଆଉ ସେ ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇ ବାଳକ ଉପରେ ଶୟନ କଲେ ଓ ତାହା ମୁଖ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଓ ତାହା ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଓ ତାହା ହସ୍ତ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ରଖିଲେ; ଏରୂପେ ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ବାଳକ ଉପରେ ଲମ୍ବମାନ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ବାଳକର ଶରୀର ଉଷ୍ଣ ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା। BSB BSB: Then Elisha got on the bed and lay on the boy, mouth to mouth, eye to eye, and hand to hand. As he stretched himself out over him, the boy’s body became warm.
35 ULB ଏଥିରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଫେରି ଗୃହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏଣେ ତେଣେ ଥରେ ବୁଲିଲେ; ତହୁଁ ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇ ବାଳକ ଉପରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଲମ୍ବମାନ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ବାଳକ ସାତ ଥର ଛିଙ୍କିଲା ଓ ବାଳକ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଫିଟାଇଲା। BSB BSB: Elisha turned away and paced back and forth across the room. Then he got on the bed and stretched himself out over the boy again, and the boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.
36 ULB ଏଥିରେ ସେ ଗିହେଜୀକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, “ସେହି ଶୁନେମୀୟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଡାକ।” ତହୁଁ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଡାକିଲା। ଆଉ ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ସେ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ନିଅ।” BSB BSB: Elisha summoned Gehazi and said, “Call the Shunammite woman.” So he called her and she came. Then Elisha said, “Pick up your son.”
37 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ତାଙ୍କର ଚରଣରେ ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା ଓ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ନେଇ ବାହାରକୁ ଗଲା। BSB BSB: She came in, fell at his feet, and bowed to the ground. Then she picked up her son and went out.
38 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍କୁ ଆସିଲେ; ସେସମୟରେ ଦେଶରେ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଥିଲା; ପୁଣି ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଦଳ ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ବସୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏକ ବଡ଼ ହଣ୍ଡା ବସାଇ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଦଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ରନ୍ଧନ କର।” BSB BSB: When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a famine in the land. As the sons of the prophets were sitting at his feet, he said to his attendant, “Put on the large pot and boil some stew for the sons of the prophets.”
39 ULB ତହୁଁ ଜଣେ ଶାକ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ଯାଇ ବନ୍ୟ ଲତା ପାଇ ତହିଁର ଫଳରେ ଅଣ୍ଟି ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରି ଆସି ତାହା ଖଣ୍ଡ ଖଣ୍ଡ କାଟି ଖାଦ୍ୟ-ହଣ୍ଡାରେ ପକାଇଲା; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ଚିହ୍ନିଲେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: One of them went out to the field to gather herbs, and he found a wild vine from which he gathered as many wild gourds as his garment could hold. Then he came back and cut them up into the pot of stew, though no one knew what they were.
40 ULB ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଭୋଜନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ଢାଳିଲେ। ପୁଣି ଲୋକମାନେ ସେହି ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଭୋଜନ କରୁ କରୁ ଡାକ ପକାଇ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ହଣ୍ଡାରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ଅଛି।” ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତହିଁରୁ ଭୋଜନ କରି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: And they poured it out for the men to eat, but when they tasted the stew they cried out, “There is death in the pot, O man of God!” And they could not eat it.
41 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ କିଛି ଅଟା ଆଣ।” ଆଉ ସେ ତାହା ହଣ୍ଡାରେ ପକାଇ କହିଲେ, “ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ଢାଳ, ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରନ୍ତୁ।” ତହୁଁ ହଣ୍ଡାରେ କିଛି ମନ୍ଦ ରହିଲା ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Then Elisha said, “Get some flour.” He threw it into the pot and said, “Pour it out for the people to eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.
42 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ବାଲ୍-ଶାଲିଶାରୁ ଜଣେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପ୍ରଥମ ଫଳର ରୁଟି, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, କୋଡ଼ିଏ ଯବ ରୁଟି ଓ ନୂତନ ଶସ୍ୟର ଶିଷା ଆପଣା ଝୁଲିରେ ନେଇ ଆସିଲା। ତହିଁରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ, ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରନ୍ତୁ।” BSB BSB: Now a man from Baal-shalishah came to the man of God with a sack of twenty loaves of barley bread from the first ripe grain. “Give it to the people to eat,” said Elisha.
43 ULB ତହୁଁ ତାଙ୍କ ଦାସ କହିଲା, “କ’ଣ, ଶହେ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଏହା ରଖିବି?” ମାତ୍ର ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ, ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରନ୍ତୁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି, ‘ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ ଓ ତହିଁରୁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ରଖିବେ।’” BSB BSB: But his servant asked, “How am I to set twenty loaves before a hundred men?” “Give it to the people to eat,” said Elisha, “for this is what the LORD says: ‘They will eat and have some left over.’”
44 ULB ତହୁଁ ସେ ତାହା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ରଖନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେମାନେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ରଖିଲେ। BSB BSB: So he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the LORD.
