3 ULB ଦିନେ ଅପରାହ୍ନ ପ୍ରାୟ ତିନି ଘଣ୍ଟା ସମୟରେ ସେ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟରୂପେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଲେ, ଯେପରି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଦୂତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ହେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣିଲୀୟ। BSB BSB: One day at about the ninth hour, he had a clear vision of an angel of God who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”
4 ULB ସେ ସେଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁ ଭୀତ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କ'ଣ? ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଓ ଦାନସବୁ ସ୍ମରଣାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱରେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଉଠିଅଛି। BSB BSB: Cornelius stared at him in fear and asked, “What is it, Lord?” The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have ascended as a memorial offering before God.
5 ULB ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଫୋକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ଶିମୋନଙ୍କୁ ଡକାଇ ଆଣ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପନାମ ପିତର; BSB BSB: Now send men to Joppa to call for a man named Simon who is called Peter.
6 ULB ସେ ଶିମୋନ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଚର୍ମକାରଙ୍କ ଅତିଥିସ୍ୱରୂପେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଘର ସମୁଦ୍ରକୂଳରେ। BSB BSB: He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
7 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ କଥା କହୁଥିବା ଦୂତ ଗଲା ପରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହର ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ, ପୁଣି, ତାହାଙ୍କର ସେବା କରୁଥିବା ସୈନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଭକ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ୟକୁ ଡାକିଲେ, BSB BSB: When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among his attendants.

10 ULB ଆଉ ସେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହୋଇ ଖାଇବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ ମୂର୍ଚ୍ଛିତ ହୋଇ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଖିଲେ, BSB BSB: He became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11 ULB ଆକାଶ ଖୋଲା ହୋଇଅଛି, ପୁଣି, ଗୋଟିଏ ପାତ୍ର ତଳକୁ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଯେପରି ଗୋଟିଏ ବଡ଼ ଚାଦର ଚାରି କୋଣରେ ଧରା ହୋଇ ପୃଥିବୀ ଉପରକୁ ଖସାଇ ଦିଆଯାଉଅଛି; BSB BSB: He saw heaven open and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12 ULB ସେଥିରେ ପୃଥିବୀର ସବୁପ୍ରକାର ଚାରିଗୋଡିଆ ପ୍ରାଣୀ, ସରୀସୃପ ଓ ଆକାଶର ପକ୍ଷୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: It contained all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, as well as birds of the air.
13 ULB ଆଉ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏହି ବାଣୀ ହେଲା, ହେ ପିତର, ଉଠ, ବଧ କରି ଖାଅ। BSB BSB: Then a voice said to him: “Get up, Peter, kill and eat!”
14 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତର କହିଲେ, ନାହିଁ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ କେବେହେଲେ କୌଣସି ଅପବିତ୍ର ଓ ଅଶୁଚି ପଦାର୍ଥ ଖାଇ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: “No, Lord!” Peter answered. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15 ULB ପୁଣି, ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଥର ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏହି ବାଣୀ ହେଲା, ଈଶ୍ୱର ଯାହା ଶୁଚି କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଶୁଚି ବୋଲି ନ କୁହ। BSB BSB: The voice spoke to him a second time: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16 ULB ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ତିନି ଥର ହେଲା, ଆଉ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସେହି ପାତ୍ରଟି ଆକାଶକୁ ଉଠାଇ ନିଆଗଲା। BSB BSB: This happened three times, and all at once the sheet was taken back up into heaven.

18 ULB ପିତର ଉପନାମପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଶିମୋନ ସେଠାରେ ଅତିଥି ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି କି ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ଡାକି ପଚାରିଲେ। BSB BSB: They called out to ask if Simon called Peter was staying there.

20 ULB ଉଠ, ତଳକୁ ଯାଇ କିଛି ସନ୍ଦେହ ନ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଯାଅ, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: So get up! Go downstairs and accompany them without hesitation, because I have sent them.”
21 ULB ସେଥିରେ ପିତର ସେହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସି କହିଲେ, ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାହାକୁ ଖୋଜୁଅଛ, ମୁଁ ସେହି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆସିବାର କାରଣ କ'ଣ? BSB BSB: So Peter went down to the men and said, “Here am I, the one you are looking for. Why have you come?”
22 ULB ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, କର୍ଣ୍ଣିଲୀୟ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଶତସେନାପତି, ଯେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଓ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ସମସ୍ତ ଯିହୂଦୀ ଜାତିଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସୁଖ୍ୟାତି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ, ସେ ନିଜ ଗୃହକୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଡକାଇପଠାଇ ଆପଣଙ୍କଠାରୁ କଥା ଶୁଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପବିତ୍ର ଦୂତଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଦେଶ ପାଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: “Cornelius the centurion has sent us,” they said. “He is a righteous and God-fearing man with a good reputation among the whole Jewish nation. A holy angel instructed him to request your presence in his home so he could hear a message from you.”
23 ULB ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭିତରକୁ ଡାକି ନେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଆତିଥ୍ୟ କଲେ। ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ସେ ଉଠି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଯାଫୋନିବାସୀ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେକ ଜଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଗଲେ। BSB BSB: So Peter invited them in as his guests. And the next day he got ready and went with them, accompanied by some of the brothers from Joppa.
24 ULB ପରଦିନ ସେମାନେ କାଇସରିିୟାରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ, ଆଉ କର୍ଣ୍ଣିଲୀୟ ଆପଣା ଆତ୍ମୀୟ ଓ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ବନ୍ଧୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ଏକତ୍ର କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: The following day he arrived in Caesarea, where Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
25 ULB ପିତର ପ୍ରବେଶ କରନ୍ତେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣିଲୀୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟି ଚରଣ ତଳେ ପଡ଼ି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ। BSB BSB: As Peter was about to enter, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet to worship him.
26 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇ କହିଲେ, ଠିଆ ହୁଅ; ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ। BSB BSB: But Peter helped him up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.”
27 ULB ସେଥିରେ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଆଳାପ କରୁ କରୁ ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ଦେଖିଲେ, ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: As Peter talked with him, he went inside and found many people gathered together.
29 ULB ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୋତେ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରାଯିବା ମାତ୍ରେ ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପତ୍ତି ନ କରି ଆସିଲି। ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ପଚାରେ, କି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣମାନେ ମୋତେ ଡକାଇଅଛନ୍ତି? BSB BSB: So when I was invited, I came without objection. I ask, then, why have you sent for me?”
30 ULB କର୍ଣ୍ଣିଲୀୟ କହିଲେ, ଚାରି ଦିନ ପୂର୍ବେ ଠିକ୍ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଗୃହରେ ଅପରାହ୍ନ ତିନି ଘଣ୍ଟା ସମୟର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଥିଲି; ଆଉ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳବସ୍ତ୍ର ପରିହିତ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ମୋ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, କର୍ଣ୍ଣିଲୀୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣାଯାଇଅଛି, BSB BSB: Cornelius answered: “Four days ago I was in my house praying at this, the ninth hour. Suddenly a man in radiant clothing stood before me
31 ULB ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାନସବୁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରାଯାଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been remembered before God.
32 ULB ଅତଏବ ଯାଫୋକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ପିତର ଉପନାମପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଶିମୋନଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡକାଇ ଆଣ, ସେ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୂଳରେ ଶିମୋନ ଚର୍ମକାରଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଅତିଥି ରୂପେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Therefore send to Joppa for Simon, who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, by the sea.’
33 ULB ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଅବିଳମ୍ବରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇଲି, ଆଉ ଆପଣ ଯେ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଭଲ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ଅତଏବ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଯାହାସବୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଶୁଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: So I sent for you immediately, and you were kind enough to come. Now then, we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has instructed you to tell us.”
35 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜାତିରେ ଯେ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରି ଧର୍ମାଚରଣ କରେ, ସେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ ହୁଏ, ଏହା ମୁଁ ସତ୍ୟ ବୁଝୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: but welcomes those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.
36 ULB ସେ ତ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଶାନ୍ତିର ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରାଇ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେରଣ କଲେ; ସେହି ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଭୁ। BSB BSB: He has sent this message to the people of Israel, proclaiming the gospel of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
37 ULB ଆପଣମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ଯେ ବାପ୍ତିଜକ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ସମୟରୁ ସେହି ସୁସମ୍ବାଦ ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ସମଗ୍ର ଯିହୂଦା ରେ ପ୍ରଚାରିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, BSB BSB: You yourselves know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee with the baptism that John proclaimed:
38 ULB ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ନାଜରିତୀୟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କଥା, କିପରି ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ଶକ୍ତିରେ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତ କଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ସାଧନ କରୁ କରୁ ଓ ଶୟତାନ କର୍ତ୍ତୃକ ପ୍ରପୀଡ଼ିତ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରୁ କରୁ ସର୍ବତ୍ର ଭ୍ରମଣ କଲେ, କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.
39 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଯାହା ଯାହା ସାଧନ କଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେହି ସମସ୍ତର ସାକ୍ଷୀ; ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନେ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ଟଙ୍ଗାଇ ବଧ କଲେ। BSB BSB: We are witnesses of all that He did, both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. And although they put Him to death by hanging Him on a tree,
40 ULB ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତୃତୀୟ ଦିବସରେ ଉଠାଇ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ହେବାକୁ ଦେଲେ; BSB BSB: God raised Him up on the third day and caused Him to be seen—
41 ULB ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ହେବାକୁ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପୂର୍ବନିରୂପିତ ସାକ୍ଷୀ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ହେବାକୁ ଦେଲେ। ସେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଠିଲା ପରେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଭୋଜନପାନ କଲୁ, BSB BSB: not by all the people, but by the witnesses God had chosen beforehand, by us who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.
42 ULB ଆଉ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ, ପୁଣି, ମୃତ ଓ ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେବାକୁ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ। BSB BSB: And He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that He is the One appointed by God to judge the living and the dead.
43 ULB ଯେ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ, ସେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ପାପ କ୍ଷମା ପାଇବ, ଏହା ସମସ୍ତ ଭାବବାଦୀ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦିଅନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”
44 ULB ପିତର ଏହି ସବୁ କଥା କହୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣୁଥିଲେ, ସେହି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଅବତରଣ କଲେ। BSB BSB: While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard his message.
45 ULB ସେଥିରେ ପିତରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆଗତ ସୁନ୍ନତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଅଣଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦାନ ବୃଷ୍ଟି କରାଯିବା ଦେଖି ଆଚମ୍ଭିତ ହେଲେ; BSB BSB: All the circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.
46 ULB କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଭାଷାରେ କଥା କହୁଥିବା ଓ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରୁଥିବା ଶୁଣୁଥିଲେ। BSB BSB: For they heard them speaking in tongues and exalting God. Then Peter said,
47 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ପିତର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏମାନେ ଯେପରି ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ କି କେହି ଜଳ ନିଷେଧ କରି ପାରେ? BSB BSB: “Can anyone withhold the water to baptize these people? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have!”
48 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ନେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ପରେ ସେମାନେ କିଛି ଦିନ ରହିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କଲେ। BSB BSB: So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for a few days.
