1 ULB ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ବିଳାପର ବାକ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛୁ, ତାହା ଶୁଣ। BSB BSB: Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lamentation I take up against you:
2 ULB ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର କୁମାରୀ ପତିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ସେ ଆଉ ଉଠିବ ନାହିଁ; ସେ ଆପଣା ଭୂମିରେ ଫିଙ୍ଗା ଯାଇଅଛି; ତାହାକୁ ଉଠାଇବାକୁ କେହି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: “Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again. She lies abandoned on her land, with no one to raise her up.”
3 ULB କାରଣ ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ଯେଉଁ ନଗରରୁ ସହସ୍ର ହୋଇ ବାହାରିଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶର ଏକ ଶହ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିବେ, ଆଉ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଏକ ଶହ ବାହାରିଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ଦଶ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିବେ।” BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD says: “The city that marches out a thousand strong will have but a hundred left, and the one that marches out a hundred strong will have but ten left in the house of Israel.”
4 ULB କାରଣ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କର, ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ। BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me and live!
5 ULB ମାତ୍ର ବେଥେଲ୍ର ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କର ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କର ନାହିଁ ଓ ବେର୍ଶେବାକୁ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହେବ ଓ ବେଥେଲ୍ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ। BSB BSB: Do not seek Bethel or go to Gilgal; do not journey to Beersheba, for Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will come to nothing.
6 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କର, ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ; ନୋହିଲେ ସେ ଯୋଷେଫ ବଂଶରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ପରି ଜ୍ୱଳି ଉଠିବେ, ତାହା ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ ଓ ତାହା ଲିଭାଇବା ପାଇଁ ବେଥେଲ୍ରେ କେହି ନ ଥିବ। BSB BSB: Seek the LORD and live, or He will sweep like fire through the house of Joseph; it will devour everything, with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.
7 ULB ବିଚାରକୁ ତିକ୍ତ ଫଳରେ ପରିଣତକାରୀ ଓ ନ୍ୟାୟକୁ ଭୂମିସାତ୍କାରୀମାନେ; BSB BSB: There are those who turn justice into wormwood and cast righteousness to the ground.
8 ULB ଯେ କୃତ୍ତିକାର ଓ ମୃଗଶୀର୍ଷର ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଯେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁରୂପ ଛାୟାକୁ ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ପରିଣତ କରନ୍ତି, ଯେ ଦିବସକୁ ରାତ୍ରି ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ କରନ୍ତି; ଯେ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ଜଳସମୂହକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରି ପୃଥିବୀ ଉପରେ ଢାଳନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କର।” ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ନାମ। BSB BSB: He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns darkness into dawn and darkens day into night, who summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the face of the earth—the LORD is His name—
9 ULB ସେ ବଳବାନ ଉପରେ ହଠାତ୍ ସର୍ବନାଶ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ଦୁର୍ଗ ଉପରେ ସର୍ବନାଶ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: He flashes destruction on the strong, so that fury comes upon the stronghold.
10 ULB ଯେ ନଗର ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଅନୁଯୋଗ କରେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ହିଂସା କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଯେ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କଥା କହେ, ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଘୃଣା କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: There are those who hate the one who reproves in the gate and despise him who speaks with integrity.
11 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦରିଦ୍ରକୁ ପଦ ତଳେ ଦଳୁଅଛ ଓ ବଳପୂର୍ବକ ତାହାଠାରୁ ଗହମ ନେଉଅଛ; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଟା ପଥରର ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛ ସତ୍ୟ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତହିଁରେ ବାସ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ରମ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ରୋପଣ କରିଅଛ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତହିଁର ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ପାନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: Therefore, because you trample on the poor and exact from him a tax of grain, you will never live in the stone houses you have built; you will never drink the wine from the lush vineyards you have planted.
12 ULB କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧ କିପରି ବହୁବିଧ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପସକଳ କିପରି ପ୍ରବଳ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣୁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଧାର୍ମିକକୁ କ୍ଲେଶ ଦେଉଅଛ, ଲାଞ୍ଚ ନେଉଅଛ ଓ ନଗର ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଦୀନହୀନମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅନ୍ୟାୟ କରୁଅଛ। BSB BSB: For I know that your transgressions are many and your sins are numerous. You oppress the righteous by taking bribes; you deprive the poor of justice in the gate.
13 ULB ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁ ଜନ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ, ସେ ଏପରି ସମୟରେ ନୀରବ ହୋଇ ରହିବ; କାରଣ ସମୟ ମନ୍ଦ ଅଟେ। BSB BSB: Therefore, the prudent keep silent in such times, for the days are evil.
14 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ବଞ୍ଚିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମନ୍ଦ ଚେଷ୍ଟା ନ କର, ଭଲ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କର; ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଅନୁସାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେବେ। BSB BSB: Seek good, not evil, so that you may live. And the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be with you, as you have claimed.
15 ULB ମନ୍ଦକୁ ଘୃଣା କର, ଭଲକୁ ଭଲ ପାଅ ଓ ନଗର ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ନ୍ୟାୟ ବିଚାର କର; ହୋଇପାରେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯୋଷେଫର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ପ୍ରତି କୃପାମୟ ହେବେ। BSB BSB: Hate evil and love good; establish justice in the gate. Perhaps the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
16 ULB ଏଥିପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ଛକ ସ୍ଥାନ ସକଳରେ ହାହାକାର ଶବ୍ଦ ହେବ ଓ ରାଜଦାଣ୍ଡସକଳରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ହାୟ! ହାୟ! କହିବେ; ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ କୃଷକକୁ ଶୋକ କରିବାକୁ ଓ ବିଳାପ ନିପୁଣ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ହାହାକାର କରିବାକୁ ଡାକିବେ। BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the Lord, says: “There will be wailing in all the public squares and cries of ‘Alas! Alas!’ in all the streets. The farmer will be summoned to mourn, and the mourners to wail.
17 ULB ପୁଣି, ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ସକଳରେ ହାହାକାର ଶବ୍ଦ ହେବ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଗମନ କରିବା।” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,” says the LORD.
18 ULB ହାୟ, ହାୟ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଦିନ ବାଞ୍ଛାକାରୀମାନେ! ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଦିନ ବାଞ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ? ତାହା ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ, ଦୀପ୍ତିମୟ ନୁହେଁ। BSB BSB: Woe to you who long for the Day of the LORD! What will the Day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
19 ULB କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସିଂହଠାରୁ ପଳାଇ ଯେପରି ଭଲ୍ଲୁକର ହାବୁଡ଼ରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା, ଅଥବା ଗୃହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି କାନ୍ଥ ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତ ଦିଅନ୍ତେ, ସର୍ପ ତାହାକୁ ଦଂଶନ କଲା, (ସେହି ଦିନ ସଦୃଶ୍ୟ) BSB BSB: It will be like a man who flees from a lion, only to encounter a bear, or who enters his house and rests his hand against the wall, only to be bitten by a snake.
20 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଦିନ ଦୀପ୍ତିମୟ ନ ହୋଇ କି ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ? ତହିଁରେ କିଛି ଆଲୁଅ ନ ଥାଇ କି ଘୋର ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ? BSB BSB: Will not the Day of the LORD be darkness and not light, even gloom with no brightness in it?
21 ULB “ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପର୍ବସବୁ ଘୃଣା କରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ତୁଚ୍ଛ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମହାସଭାରେ କିଛି ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହେବା ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: “I hate, I despise your feasts! I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
22 ULB ହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ହୋମବଳି ଓ ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିବା ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ମଙ୍ଗଳାର୍ଥକ ବଳିରୂପ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Even though you offer Me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; for your peace offerings of fattened cattle I will have no regard.
23 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଗାୟନର କୋଳାହଳ ଦୂର କର; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନେବଲ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରର ବାଦ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବା ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 ULB ମାତ୍ର ନ୍ୟାୟ ବିଚାର ଜଳରାଶି ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଓ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ପ୍ରବଳ ସ୍ରୋତ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ବହିଯାଉ। BSB BSB: But let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
25 ULB ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ବଳିଦାନ ଓ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଆଣିଲ? BSB BSB: Did you bring Me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
26 ULB ହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଯାହା ନିର୍ମାଣ କର, ଏପରି ରାଜା ସିକୂତକୁ ଓ କୀୟନ ନାମକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣକୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦେବତାର ତାରାକୁ ବହନ କରିଅଛ। BSB BSB: You have taken along Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god, the idols you made for yourselves.
27 ULB ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ବାସାର୍ଥେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକର ଅପର ପାରିକୁ ଗମନ କରାଇବା।” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାଙ୍କର ନାମ। BSB BSB: Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the LORD, whose name is the God of Hosts.
