1 ULB ଅତଏବ ପ୍ରିୟ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅନୁକାରୀ ହୁଅ; BSB BSB: Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
2 ULB ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଓ ବଳି ସ୍ଵରୂପେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ, ସେହିପରି ପ୍ରେମରେ ଆଚରଣ କର। BSB BSB: and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.
3 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଅଶୁଚିତା କିମ୍ବା ଲୋଭ, ଏହି ସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ଥାନ ନ ପାଉ; ତାହା ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଅନୁଚିତ; BSB BSB: But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
4 ULB ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ଯାହା ଅନୁପଯୁକ୍ତ, ଏପରି କୁତ୍ସିତ ବ୍ୟବହାର ବା ଅସାର କଥା ବା ହାସ୍ୟପରିହାସ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦେଖା ନ ଯାଉ, ବରଂ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦିଅ। BSB BSB: Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.
5 ULB କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତରୂପେ ଜାଣ ଯେ, କୌଣସି ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ବା ଅଶୁଦ୍ଧାଚାରୀ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ବା ଲୋଭୀ ସେ ତ ଦେବପୂଜକ -ଏମାନଙ୍କର, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଅଧିକାର ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 ULB କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅସାର କଥାରେ ନ ଭୁଲାଉ, କାରଣ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କୁକର୍ମ ହେତୁ ଅନାଜ୍ଞାବହ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧ ବର୍ତ୍ତେ। BSB BSB: Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 ULB ଅତଏବ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସହଭାଗୀ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: Therefore do not be partakers with them.
8 ULB କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପୂର୍ବେ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ସ୍ଵରୂପ ଥିଲ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ଆଲୋକ ସ୍ଵରୂପ ହୋଇଅଛ; ଆଲୋକର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଆଚରଣ କର, BSB BSB: For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
9 ULB (କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଉତ୍ତମତା, ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ସତ୍ୟ ଆଲୋକର ଫଳ ସ୍ଵରୂପ), BSB BSB: for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
10 ULB ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର କଣ ସନ୍ତୋଷଜନକ, ତାହା ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କର; BSB BSB: Test and prove what pleases the Lord.
11 ULB ଅନ୍ଧକାରର ନିଷ୍ଫଳ କର୍ମ ସବୁର ସହଭାଗୀ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ,ବରଂ ସେ ସବୁର ଦୋଷହିଁ ଦେଖାଇଦିଅ; BSB BSB: Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 ULB କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଯାହାସବୁ ଗୁପ୍ତରେ କରନ୍ତି, ସେହି ସବୁ କଥା କହିବା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ, BSB BSB: For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟର ଦୋଷ ଆଲୋକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦେଖାଇ ଦିଆଯାଏ, ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୁଏ, ତାହା ଆଲୋକ। BSB BSB: But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself.
14 ULB ଏଣୁ ଉକ୍ତ ଅଛି, ହେ ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଜାଗ, ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଠ, ପୁଣି, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଲୋକ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବେ। BSB BSB: So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15 ULB ଅତଏବ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ପରି ନ ହୋଇ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ପରି ନିଜ ନିଜ ଆଚରଣ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ବିଶେଷ ସାବଧାନ ହୁଅ, BSB BSB: Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
16 ULB ପୁଣି, ସୁଯୋଗର ସତ୍ ବ୍ୟବହାର କର, କାରଣ କାଳ ମନ୍ଦ ଅଟେ। BSB BSB: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 ULB ଏଣୁ ନିର୍ବୋଧ ନ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର କଣ ଇଚ୍ଛା ତାହା ବୁଝ। BSB BSB: Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
18 ULB ଆଉ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ମତ୍ତ ନ ହୁଅ, ସେଥିରୁ ତ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର ଜନ୍ମେ, ମାତ୍ର ଗୀତ, ସ୍ତୋତ୍ର ଓ ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ସଂକୀର୍ତ୍ତନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଉତ୍ସାହ ଦିଅ, BSB BSB: Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 ULB ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟରେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଭଜନ ଓ ଗୀତ ଗାନ କର; BSB BSB: Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord,
20 ULB ସର୍ବଦା ସର୍ବ ବିଷୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ପିତା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦିଅ, BSB BSB: always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 ULB ଆଉ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରି ପରସ୍ପରର ବଶୀଭୂୂତ ହୁଅ। BSB BSB: Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 ULB ହେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବସୀଭୂତା ହୁଅ, ସେହିପରି ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀର ବସୀଭୂତ ହୁଅ, BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 ULB କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେପରି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ମସ୍ତକ ସ୍ଵରୂପ, ସ୍ୱାମୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ମସ୍ତକ ସ୍ଵରୂପ, ପୁଣି, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଆପଣା ଶରୀରରୂପ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା। BSB BSB: For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior.
24 ULB ହଁ, ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଯେପରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ବଶୀଭୂତ, ସେହିପରି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସବୁ ବିଷୟରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀର ବସୀଭୂତା ହେଉନ୍ତୁ। BSB BSB: Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
26 ULB ଯେପରି ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ଜଳ ପ୍ରକ୍ଷାଳନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ତାହାକୁ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରି ପବିତ୍ର କରନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 ULB ଯେପରି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ନିଷ୍କଳଙ୍କ, ନିଖୁନ୍ତ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଦୋଷରହିତ ହୋଇ ପବିତ୍ର ଓ ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହୁଏ, ଆଉ ସେହିପରି ଗୌରବମୟ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 ULB ସେହିପରି ସ୍ୱାମୀମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଶରୀର ସଦୃଶ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଯେ ନିଜ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ; BSB BSB: In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 ULB କେହି ତ ଆପଣା ଶରୀରକୁ କେବେ ଘୃଣା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ଭରଣପୋଷଣ ଓ ଲାଳନପାଳନ କରେ; BSB BSB: Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
30 ULB ଯେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶରୀରର ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗ। BSB BSB: For we are members of His body.
31 ULB ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ପୁରୁଷ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ନିଜ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଠାରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଏକାଙ୍ଗ ହେବେ। BSB BSB: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32 ULB ଏହା ଗୋଟିଏ ଅତି ନିଗୂଢ଼ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଓ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ଏହା କହୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.
33 ULB ଯାହା ହେଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଆତ୍ମତୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେମ କର, ଆଉ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀକୁ ଭକ୍ତି କରୁ। BSB BSB: Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
