1 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସୀନ୍ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ନିରୂପିତ ସକଳ ଉତ୍ତରଣ-ସ୍ଥାନ ଦେଇ ରଫୀଦୀମରେ ଛାଉଣି ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ପାନ କରିବାକୁ ଜଳ ନ ଥିଲା। BSB BSB: Then the whole congregation of Israel left the Desert of Sin, moving from place to place as the LORD commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.
2 ULB ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ବିବାଦ କରି କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଳ ଦିଅ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାନ କରିବୁ।” ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋ’ ସଙ୍ଗରେ କାହିଁକି ବିବାଦ କର? କାହିଁକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କର?” BSB BSB: So the people contended with Moses, “Give us water to drink.” “Why do you contend with me?” Moses replied. “Why do you test the LORD?”
3 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଜଳାଭାବ ହେତୁ ତୃଷାକୂଳ ହୋଇ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବଚସା କରି କହିଲେ, “କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ପଶୁଗଣକୁ ପିପାସାରେ ମାରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମିସରଠାରୁ ଆଣିଅଛ?” BSB BSB: But the people thirsted for water there, and they grumbled against Moses: “Why have you brought us out of Egypt—to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”
4 ULB ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କ’ଣ କରିବି? ସେମାନେ ମୋତେ ପଥର ପକାଇ ମାରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ଉଦ୍ୟତ।” BSB BSB: Then Moses cried out to the LORD, “What should I do with these people? A little more and they will stone me!”
5 ULB ତହୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦ୍ଵାରା ନୀଳ ନଦୀକୁ ଆଘାତ କରିଥିଲ, ସେହି ଯଷ୍ଟି ହସ୍ତରେ ଘେନି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର କେତେକ ପ୍ରାଚୀନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଯାଅ। BSB BSB: And the LORD said to Moses, “Walk on ahead of the people and take some of the elders of Israel with you. Take along in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
6 ULB ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ହୋରେବରେ ସେହି ଶୈଳ ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହେବା; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଶୈଳକୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ, ତହିଁରୁ ଜଳ ନିର୍ଗତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହା ପାନ କରିବେ; ତେବେ ମୋଶା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ସେହିରୂପ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Behold, I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. And when you strike the rock, water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
7 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ବିବାଦ ସକାଶୁ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି କି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା କହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ସକାଶୁ ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ମଃସା ଓ ମିରୀବାଃ ରଖିଲେ।” BSB BSB: He named the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled, and because they tested the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?”
8 ULB ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଅମାଲେକ ଆସି ରଫୀଦୀମରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସହିତ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। BSB BSB: After this, the Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim.
9 ULB ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା ଯିହୋଶୂୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲୋକ ମନୋନୀତ କରି ଅମାଲେକ ସହିତ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଅ; ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଯଷ୍ଟିଘେନି ପର୍ବତ ଶୃଙ୍ଗରେ ଠିଆ ହେବି।” BSB BSB: So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on the hilltop with the staff of God in my hand.”
10 ULB ତହୁଁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ଅମାଲେକ ସହିତ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ମୋଶା ଓ ହାରୋଣ, ହୂର ପର୍ବତ ଶୃଙ୍ଗରେ ଆରୋହଣ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Joshua did as Moses had instructed him and fought against the Amalekites, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 ULB ପୁଣି, ମୋଶା ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ଟେକିଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଜୟୀ ହେଲେ ଓ ସେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ନୁଆଁଇଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଅମାଲେକ ଜୟୀ ହେଲେ। BSB BSB: As long as Moses held up his hands, Israel prevailed; but when he lowered them, Amalek prevailed.
12 ULB ମାତ୍ର ମୋଶାଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତ ଭାରୀ ହେଲା; ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନେ ଖଣ୍ଡିଏ ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ଆଣି ତାହା ତଳେ ରଖନ୍ତେ, ମୋଶା ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ବସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ହାରୋଣ ଓ ହୂର ଜଣେ ଏପାଖେ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ସେପାଖେ ତାଙ୍କର ହାତ ଟେକି ଧରିଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟାସ୍ତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତ ସ୍ଥିର ରହିଲା। BSB BSB: When Moses’ hands grew heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held his hands up, one on each side, so that his hands remained steady until the sun went down.
13 ULB ଏଣୁ ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ଅମାଲେକକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖଡ୍ଗଧାରରେ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ। BSB BSB: So Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his army with the sword.
15 ULB ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା ଗୋଟିଏ ବେଦି ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ତହିଁର ନାମ ଯିହୋବାଃ-ନିଃଷି ରଖିଲେ। BSB BSB: And Moses built an altar and named it The LORD Is My Banner.
16 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଧ୍ୱଜାରେ ହସ୍ତ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ପୁରୁଷାନୁକ୍ରମେ ଅମାଲେକ ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ହେବ।” BSB BSB: “Indeed,” he said, “a hand was lifted up toward the throne of the LORD. The LORD will war against Amalek from generation to generation.”
