So he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and the two maidservants.
2 ULB ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଆଗେ ଦୁଇ ଦାସୀ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ, ତାହା ପଛେ ଲେୟା ଓ ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ, ସର୍ବଶେଷରେ ରାହେଲ ଓ ଯୋଷେଫକୁ ରଖିଲା। BSB BSB: He put the maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph at the rear.
3 ULB ପୁଣି, ଆପେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଯାଇ ସାତଥର ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରୁ କରୁ ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତା ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: But Jacob himself went on ahead and bowed to the ground seven times as he approached his brother.
4 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ଏଷୌ ତାହାକୁ ଭେଟିବାକୁ ଧାଇଁ ଆସି ତାହାର ଗଳା ଧରି ଆଲିଙ୍ଗନ ଓ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କଲା, ପୁଣି, ଦୁହେଁ ରୋଦନ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Esau, however, ran to him and embraced him, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. And they both wept.
5 ULB ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଅନାଇ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଗଣକୁ ଓ ବାଳକଗଣକୁ ଦେଖି ପଚାରିଲା,” ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଏମାନେ କିଏ?” ତହିଁରେ ସେ କହିଲା, “ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କୃପା କରି ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସକୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି।” BSB BSB: When Esau looked up and saw the women and children, he asked, “Who are these with you?” Jacob answered, “These are the children God has graciously given your servant.”
6 ULB ତହୁଁ ଦାସୀଗଣ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Then the maidservants and their children approached and bowed down.
7 ULB ତହିଁ ପଛେ ଲେୟା ଓ ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ଆସି ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ; ସର୍ବଶେଷରେ ଯୋଷେଫ ଓ ରାହେଲ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Leah and her children also approached and bowed down, and then Joseph and Rachel approached and bowed down.
8 ULB ତହିଁରେ ଏଷୌ ପଚାରିଲା, “ମୁଁ ଆଗେ ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ (ପଶ୍ୱାଦି) ଦଳ ସହିତ ଭେଟିଲି; ତାହା କି ନିମନ୍ତେ?” ଯାକୁବ କହିଲା, “ମୋ’ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ପାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ।” BSB BSB: “What do you mean by sending this whole company to meet me?” asked Esau. “To find favor in your sight, my lord,” Jacob answered.
9 ULB ତହୁଁ ଏଷୌ କହିଲା, “ମୋହର ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ଅଛି; ଭାଇ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଯାହା ଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଥାଉ।” BSB BSB: “I already have plenty, my brother,” Esau replied. “Keep what belongs to you.”
10 ULB ଯାକୁବ କହିଲା, “ନା, ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯଦି ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ପାଇଲି, ତେବେ ମୋ’ ହସ୍ତରୁ ସେହି ଭେଟି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତୁ; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଦର୍ଶନ କଲା ପରି ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଦର୍ଶନ କରିଅଛି; ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣ ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: But Jacob insisted, “No, please! If I have found favor in your sight, then receive this gift from my hand. For indeed, I have seen your face, and it is like seeing the face of God, since you have received me favorably.
11 ULB ଏଣୁ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଅଛି, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆନୀତ ଏହି ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତୁ; କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋତେ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ସବୁ ଅଛି।” ଏହିରୂପେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଗ୍ରହ ସହିତ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତେ, ଏଷୌ ତାହା ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲା। BSB BSB: Please accept my gift that was brought to you, because God has been gracious to me and I have all I need.” So Jacob pressed him until he accepted.
12 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏଷୌ କହିଲା, “ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିବା, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଯାଉଅଛି।” BSB BSB: Then Esau said, “Let us be on our way, and I will go ahead of you.”
13 ULB ତହିଁରେ ଯାକୁବ କହିଲା, “ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୁ ଜାଣନ୍ତି, ଏହି ବାଳକମାନେ କୋମଳ, ଆଉ ଦୁଗ୍ଧବତୀ ମେଷୀ ଓ ଗାଭୀ ମୋ’ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ଦିନେ ଅଧିକ ଚଳାଇଲେ ସବୁ ପଲ ମରିଯିବେ। BSB BSB: But Jacob replied, “My lord knows that the children are frail, and I must care for sheep and cattle that are nursing their young. If they are driven hard for even a day, all the animals will die.
14 ULB ଏଣୁ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଅଛି, “ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଦାସର ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଗମନ କରନ୍ତୁ; ସେୟୀର ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ ମୋ’ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୁଁ ପଶୁଗଣର ଗମନ ଶକ୍ତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଓ ବାଳକଗଣର ଗମନ ଶକ୍ତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଚଳାଇ ନେବି।” BSB BSB: Please let my lord go ahead of his servant. I will continue on slowly, at a comfortable pace for the livestock and children, until I come to my lord at Seir.”
15 ULB ଏଷୌ କହିଲା, “ତେବେ ମୋ’ ସଙ୍ଗୀ କେତେକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ରଖି ଯାଉଅଛି।” ଯାକୁବ କହିଲା, “କି ପ୍ରୟୋଜନ? ମୋ’ ପ୍ରତି କେବଳ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଥାଉ।” BSB BSB: “Let me leave some of my people with you,” Esau said. But Jacob replied, “Why do that? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”
16 ULB ତହଁରେ ଏଷୌ ସେହି ଦିନ ସେୟୀର ପଥ ଦେଇ ବାହୁଡ଼ି ଗଲା। BSB BSB: So that day Esau started on his way back to Seir,
17 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଯାକୁବ ସୁକ୍କୋତକୁ ଗମନ କରି ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ଗୃହ ଓ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କୁଡ଼ିଆ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲା; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନ ସୁକ୍କୋତ ନାମରେ ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: but Jacob went on to Succoth, where he built a house for himself and shelters for his livestock; that is why the place was called Succoth.
18 ULB ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଯାକୁବ ପଦ୍ଦନ୍ ଅରାମଠାରୁ ବାହାରି କୁଶଳରେ କିଣାନ ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ଶିଖିମର ଏକ ନଗରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ନଗରର ବାହାରେ ତମ୍ବୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲା। BSB BSB: After Jacob had come from Paddan-aram, he arrived safely at the city of Shechem in the land of Canaan, and he camped just outside the city.
19 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶିଖିମର ପିତା ହମୋରର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକଶହ କସୀତା ରୌପ୍ୟ ମୁଦ୍ରା ଦେଇ ସେହି ତମ୍ବୁ ସ୍ଥାପନର ଭୂମିଖଣ୍ଡ କିଣିଲା। BSB BSB: And the plot of ground where he pitched his tent, he purchased from the sons of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for a hundred pieces of silver.
20 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେଠାରେ ଏକ ବେଦି ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ତାହାର ନାମ ଏଲ-ଇଲୋହେ-ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରଖିଲା। BSB BSB: There he set up an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.
