1 ULB ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକୀୟଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ନବମ ବର୍ଷର ଦଶମ ମାସରେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ୟ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆସି ତାହା ଅବରୋଧ କଲେ; BSB BSB: In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire army and laid siege to the city.
2 ULB ସିଦିକୀୟଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଏକାଦଶ ବର୍ଷର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ମାସର ନବମ ଦିନରେ ନଗରର ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ ଭଗ୍ନ ହେଲା। ଏହିରୂପେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ହସ୍ତଗତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, BSB BSB: And on the ninth day of the fourth month of Zedekiah’s eleventh year, the city was breached.
3 ULB ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ଅଧିପତିସକଳ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ନେର୍ଗଲ ଶରେତ୍ସର, ସମ୍ଗର-ନବୋ, ଶର୍ସଖୀମ୍, ରବ୍ସାରୀସ୍, ନେର୍ଗଲ ଶରେତ୍ସର, ରବମାଗ୍ ପ୍ରଭୃତି ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଅଧିପତି ସମସ୍ତେ ଭିତରେ ଆସି ମଧ୍ୟମ ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ବସିଲେ। BSB BSB: Then all the officials of the king of Babylon entered and sat in the Middle Gate: Nergal-sharezer of Samgar, Nebo-sarsekim the Rabsaris, Nergal-sharezer the Rabmag, and all the rest of the officials of the king of Babylon. 4 ULB ତହିଁରେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକୀୟ ଓ ଯୋଦ୍ଧା ସମସ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପଳାଇଗଲେ, ସେମାନେ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳରେ ରାଜାର ଉଦ୍ୟାନ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ପଥ ଦେଇ ଦୁଇ ପ୍ରାଚୀରର ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥିତ ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ନଗରରୁ ବାହାରି ଗଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆରାବା ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଗଲା। BSB BSB: When Zedekiah king of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled. They left the city at night by way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls, and they went out along the route to the Arabah.
5 ULB ମାତ୍ର କଲ୍ଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପଛେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇ ଯିରୀହୋ ପଦାରେ ସିଦିକୀୟ ନିକଟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ ଓ ତାହାକୁ ଧରି ହମାତ୍ ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ରିବ୍ଲାରେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତାହାର ଦଣ୍ଡାଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲା। BSB BSB: But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. They seized him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him.
6 ULB ପୁଣି, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ରିବ୍ଲାରେ ସିଦିକୀୟର ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲା; ମଧ୍ୟ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧିପତି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲା। BSB BSB: There at Riblah the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also killed all the nobles of Judah.
7 ULB ଆହୁରି, ସେ ସିଦିକୀୟର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଉପାଡ଼ି ତାହାକୁ ବାବିଲକୁ ନେଇଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳରେ ବଦ୍ଧ କଲା। BSB BSB: Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze chains to take him to Babylon.
9 ULB ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ସେନାପତି ନବୂଷରଦନ୍, ନଗରରେ ଥିବା ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ, ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାର ପକ୍ଷ ହୋଇଥିବା ପଳାତକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀକରି ବାବିଲକୁ ନେଇଗଲା। BSB BSB: Then Nebuzaradan captain of the guard carried away to Babylon the remnant of the people who had remained in the city, along with the deserters who had defected to him.
10 ULB ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ସେନାପତି ନବୂଷରଦନ୍, କେତେଗୁଡ଼ିଏ ଦୀନ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶରେ ଛାଡ଼ିକରି ଗଲା, ଆଉ ସେହି ସମୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଓ ଭୂମି ଦେଲା। BSB BSB: But Nebuzaradan left behind in the land of Judah some of the poor people who had no property, and at that time he gave them vineyards and fields.
11 ULB ପୁଣି, ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ସେନାପତି ନବୂଷରଦନ୍କୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲା, BSB BSB: Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had given orders about Jeremiah through Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, saying,
12 ULB “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଭଲ ରୂପେ ତାଙ୍କର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାନ କର ଓ ତାଙ୍କର କୌଣସି କ୍ଷତି କର ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହନ୍ତି, ସେପରି ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କର।” BSB BSB: “Take him, look after him, and do not let any harm come to him; do for him whatever he says.”
13 ULB ତହିଁରେ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ସେନାପତି ନବୂଷରଦନ୍ ଓ ନବୂଶସ୍ବନ୍, ରବ୍ସାରୀସ୍ ଓ ନେର୍ଗଲ ଶରେତ୍ସର, ରବମାଗ୍ ଓ ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଧାନବର୍ଗ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇଲେ। BSB BSB: So Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, Nebushazban the Rabsaris, Nergal-sharezer the Rabmag, and all the captains of the king of Babylon
14 ULB ସେମାନେ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣରୁ ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଲେ, ପୁଣି ଗୃହକୁ ନେଇଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଶାଫନ୍ର ପୌତ୍ର ଅହୀକାମ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ଗଦଲୀୟଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଯିରିମୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କଲେ। BSB BSB: had Jeremiah brought from the courtyard of the guard, and they turned him over to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him home. So Jeremiah remained among his own people.
15 ULB ଯିରିମୀୟ ପ୍ରହରୀ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣରେ ବନ୍ଦ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: And while Jeremiah had been confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the LORD had come to him:
16 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ କୂଶୀୟ ଏବଦ୍-ମେଲକକୁ କୁହ, “ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ‘ଦେଖ, ମଙ୍ଗଳର ନିମନ୍ତେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଅମଙ୍ଗଳର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ନଗର ଉପରେ ଆପଣାର ବାକ୍ୟ ସବୁ ସଫଳ କରିବା; ପୁଣି, ସେଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସେସବୁ ସଫଳ ହେବ।’ BSB BSB: “Go and tell Ebed-melech the Cushite that this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I am about to fulfill My words against this city for harm and not for good, and on that day they will be fulfilled before your eyes.
17 ULB ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ‘ସେଦିନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଭୟ କରୁଅଛ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: But I will deliver you on that day, declares the LORD, and you will not be delivered into the hands of the men whom you fear.
18 ULB କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ପତିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଲୁଟିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ: ଯେହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛ,’ ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।” BSB BSB: For I will surely rescue you so that you do not fall by the sword. Because you have trusted in Me, you will escape with your life like a spoil of war, declares the LORD.’”
