4 ULB ହେ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣକୁ ସଜ୍ଜିତ କରି ଆରୋହଣ କର ଓ ମସ୍ତକର ଟୋପର ପିନ୍ଧି ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ; ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଚିକ୍କଣ କର, ସାଞ୍ଜୁଆ ପିନ୍ଧ। BSB BSB: Harness the horses; mount the steeds; take your positions with helmets on! Polish your spears; put on armor!
5 ULB ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ଓ ପଛକୁ ଫେରି ଯିବାର କାହିଁକି ଦେଖିଅଛୁ? ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବୀରଗଣ ପରାସ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଶୀଘ୍ର ପଳାଇ ପଛକୁ ଅନାଉ ନାହାନ୍ତି; ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଆଶଙ୍କା ଅଛି,” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Why am I seeing this? They are terrified, they are retreating; their warriors are defeated, they flee in haste without looking back; terror is on every side!” declares the LORD.
6 ULB ଦ୍ରୁତଗାମୀ ପଳାୟନ ନ କରୁ, କିଅବା ବୀର ରକ୍ଷା ନ ପାଉ; ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଗରେ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟରେ ସେମାନେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: “The swift cannot flee, and the warrior cannot escape! In the north by the River Euphrates they stumble and fall.
7 ULB ନୀଳ ନଦୀ ପରି ଯେ ଉଠୁଅଛି, ଯାହାର ଜଳରାଶି ନଦୀସମୂହର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉତ୍କ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛି, ସେ କିଏ? BSB BSB: Who is this, rising like the Nile, like rivers whose waters churn?
8 ULB ମିସର ନୀଳ ନଦୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉଠୁଅଛି, ତାହାର ଜଳରାଶି ନଦୀସମୂହର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉତ୍କ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛି, ଆଉ ସେ କହୁଅଛି, “ମୁଁ ଉଚ୍ଛୁଳି ଉଠିବି, ମୁଁ ପୃଥିବୀକି ପ୍ଳାବିତ କରିବି; ମୁଁ ନଗର ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବି।” BSB BSB: Egypt rises like the Nile, and its waters churn like rivers, boasting, ‘I will rise and cover the earth; I will destroy the cities and their people.’
9 ULB ହେ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣ, ଉଠିଯାଅ; ହେ ରଥସକଳ, ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କର; ଆଉ, ବୀରମାନେ ବାହାର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ; ଢାଲବାହକ କୂଶ ଓ ପୂଟ୍, ଆଉ ଧନୁର୍ଦ୍ଧାରୀ ଓ ଧନୁରେ ଗୁଣଦାୟୀ ଲୁଦୀୟମାନେ, ବାହାର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ। BSB BSB: Advance, O horses! Race furiously, O chariots! Let the warriors come forth—Cush and Put carrying their shields, men of Lydia drawing the bow.
10 ULB କାରଣ ସେଦିନ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଶୋଧ ନେବାର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିପକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦେବାର ଦିନ ଅଟେ; ଖଡ୍ଗ ଗ୍ରାସ କରି ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତ ପାନ କରି ପରିତୃପ୍ତ ହେବ; କାରଣ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏକ ଯଜ୍ଞ ଅଛି। BSB BSB: For that day belongs to the Lord GOD of Hosts, a day of vengeance against His foes. The sword will devour until it is satisfied, until it is quenched with their blood. For the Lord GOD of Hosts will hold a sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.
11 ULB ଗୋ ମିସରର ଅନୁଢ଼ା କନ୍ୟେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗିଲୀୟଦକୁ ଉଠି ଯାଇ ଔଷଧ ନିଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବ୍ୟର୍ଥରେ ଅନେକ ଔଷଧ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Go up to Gilead for balm, O Virgin Daughter of Egypt! In vain you try many remedies, but for you there is no healing.
12 ULB ସମସ୍ତ ଜାତିଗଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅପମାନର କଥା ଶୁଣିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭର କାତରୋକ୍ତିରେ ପୃଥିବୀ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ; କାରଣ ବୀର ବୀର ଉପରେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିଅଛି; ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଏକତ୍ର ପଡ଼ିଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: The nations have heard of your shame, and your outcry fills the earth, because warrior stumbles over warrior and both of them have fallen together.”
13 ULB ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ମିସର ଦେଶକୁ ଆସି ତାହା ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବା ବିଷୟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଲେ, ତାହା ଏହି, ଯଥା, BSB BSB: This is the word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:
14 ULB “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିସରରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କର, ମିଗ୍ଦୋଲରେ ଘୋଷଣା କର, ଆଉ ନୋଫ ଓ ତଫନ୍ହେଷରରେ ଘୋଷଣା କର; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କୁହ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ, ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର, କାରଣ ଖଡ୍ଗ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି।’ BSB BSB: “Announce it in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol; proclaim it in Memphis and Tahpanhes: ‘Take your positions and prepare yourself, for the sword devours those around you.’
15 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଳବାନ ଲୋକମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଭାସିଗଲେ? ସେମାନେ ସ୍ଥିର ରହି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତଡ଼ି ଦେଲେ।” BSB BSB: Why have your warriors been laid low? They cannot stand, for the LORD has thrust them down.
16 ULB ସେ ଅନେକଙ୍କୁ ଝୁଣ୍ଟାଇ ପକାଇଲେ, ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ଉଠ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉତ୍ପୀଡ଼କ ଖଡ୍ଗରୁ ପଳାଇ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଶକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଯାଉ।” BSB BSB: They continue to stumble; indeed, they have fallen over one another. They say, ‘Get up! Let us return to our people and to the land of our birth, away from the sword of the oppressor.’
17 ULB ସେସ୍ଥାନରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲେ, “ମିସରର ରାଜା ଫାରୋ ଶବ୍ଦମାତ୍ର; ସେ ନିରୂପିତ ସମୟ ବହି ଯିବାକୁ ଦେଇଅଛି।” BSB BSB: There they will cry out: ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt was all noise; he has let the appointed time pass him by.’
18 ULB ରାଜା ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ, ସେ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ପର୍ବତଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାବୋରର ସଦୃଶ କିଅବା ସମୁଦ୍ର ନିକଟସ୍ଥ କର୍ମିଲର ସଦୃଶ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆସିବ। BSB BSB: As surely as I live, declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts, there will come one who is like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea.
19 ULB ଆଗୋ ମିସର ନିବାସିନୀ କନ୍ୟେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱକୁ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣାର ସମ୍ବଳ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର; କାରଣ ନୋଫ ଧ୍ୱଂସିତ, ଦଗ୍ଧ ଓ ନିବାସୀବିହୀନ ହେବ। BSB BSB: Pack your bags for exile, O daughter dwelling in Egypt! For Memphis will be laid waste, destroyed and uninhabited.
20 ULB ମିସର ଅତି ସୁନ୍ଦରୀ ତରୁଣୀ ଗାଭୀ; ମାତ୍ର ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଗରୁ ବିନାଶ ଆସିଅଛି, ତାହା ଆସିଅଛି। BSB BSB: Egypt is a beautiful heifer, but a gadfly from the north is coming against her.
21 ULB ଆହୁରି, ମିସରର ମଧ୍ୟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ବେତନଗ୍ରାହୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଗୋଶାଳାର ଗୋବତ୍ସ ତୁଲ୍ୟ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଫେରି ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ପଳାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିପଦର ଦିନ, ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ପାଇବାର ସମୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା। BSB BSB: Even the mercenaries among her are like fattened calves. They too will turn back; together they will flee, they will not stand their ground, for the day of calamity is coming upon them—the time of their punishment.
22 ULB ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ସୈନ୍ୟ ସହିତ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେବେ ଓ କାଠକଟାଳୀମାନଙ୍କ ପରି କୁହ୍ରାଡ଼ି ନେଇ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆସିବେ, ତହିଁରେ ତାହାର ଶବ୍ଦ ସର୍ପ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେବ।” BSB BSB: Egypt will hiss like a fleeing serpent, for the enemy will advance in force; with axes they will come against her like woodsmen cutting down trees.
23 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ତାହାର ଅରଣ୍ୟ ଅଗମ୍ୟ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ହାଣି ପକାଇବେ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପଙ୍ଗପାଳ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅନେକ ଓ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: They will chop down her forest, declares the LORD, dense though it may be, for they are more numerous than locusts; they cannot be counted.
24 ULB ମିସରର କନ୍ୟା ଲଜ୍ଜିତା ହେବ; ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତା ହେବ।” BSB BSB: The Daughter of Egypt will be put to shame; she will be delivered into the hands of the people of the north.”
25 ULB ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କହନ୍ତି: “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ନୋ ଦେଶୀୟ ଆମୋନ୍କୁ, ଆଉ ଫାରୋ, ମିସର ଓ ତାହାର ଦେବଗଣ ଓ ରାଜାଗଣଙ୍କୁ; ହଁ, ଫାରୋ ଓ ତାହାର ଶରଣାପନ୍ନ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବା; BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I am about to punish Amon god of Thebes, along with Pharaoh, Egypt with her gods and kings, and those who trust in Pharaoh.
26 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣନାଶର ଚେଷ୍ଟାକାରୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଓ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର ଓ ତାହାର ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା।” ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଦେଶ ପୂର୍ବ କାଳର ନ୍ୟାୟ ବସତି ସ୍ଥାନ ହେବ।” BSB BSB: I will deliver them into the hands of those who seek their lives—of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. But after this, Egypt will be inhabited as in days of old, declares the LORD.
27 ULB ମାତ୍ର ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଯାକୁବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିରାଶ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ: କାରଣ ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦୂରରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱ ଦେଶରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବଂଶକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା; ତହିଁରେ ଯାକୁବ ଫେରି ଆସି ନିର୍ଭୟ ଓ ନିଶ୍ଚିନ୍ତରେ ରହିବ ଓ କେହି ତାହାକୁ ଭୟ ଦେଖାଇବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: But you, O Jacob My servant, do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed, O Israel. For I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their captivity! Jacob will return to quiet and ease, with no one to make him afraid.
28 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଯାକୁବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛୁ: ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତଡ଼ି ଦେଇଅଛୁ, ସେହିସବୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଃଶେଷ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କରିବା, ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିଃଶେଷ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କରିବା ନାହିଁ; ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିବେଚନାପୂର୍ବକ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବା ଓ କୌଣସିମତେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅଦଣ୍ଡିତ କରି ଛାଡ଼ିବା ନାହିଁ।” BSB BSB: And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid, declares the LORD, for I am with you. Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have banished you, I will not completely destroy you. Yet I will discipline you justly, and will by no means leave you unpunished.”
