1 ULB ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶୂହୀୟ ବିଲ୍ଦଦ୍ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, BSB BSB: Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2 ULB “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେତେ କାଳ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା କହିବ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖର ବାକ୍ୟ କେତେ କାଳ ପ୍ରବଳ ବାୟୁ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ? BSB BSB: “How long will you go on saying such things? The words of your mouth are a blustering wind.
3 ULB ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କ’ଣ ବିଚାର ବିପରୀତ କରନ୍ତି? ଅଥବା ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ କ’ଣ ନ୍ୟାୟ ବିପରୀତ କରନ୍ତି? BSB BSB: Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right?
4 ULB ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧର୍ମର ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; BSB BSB: When your children sinned against Him, He gave them over to their rebellion.
5 ULB ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କର; ଓ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣା ନିବେଦନ ଜଣାନ୍ତ; BSB BSB: But if you would earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,
6 ULB ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ମଳ ଓ ସରଳ ଥା’ନ୍ତ, ତେବେ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଏକ୍ଷଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଧର୍ମନିବାସକୁ ସମୃଦ୍ଧିଶାଳୀ କରନ୍ତେ। BSB BSB: if you are pure and upright, even now He will rouse Himself on your behalf and restore your righteous estate.
7 ULB ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଥମାବସ୍ଥା କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ହେଲେ ହେଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶେଷାବସ୍ଥା ଅତିଶୟ ଉନ୍ନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତା। BSB BSB: Though your beginnings were modest, your latter days will flourish.
8 ULB କାରଣ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ପୂର୍ବକାଳୀନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପଚାର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଗଣ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରି ଯାହା ପାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କର; BSB BSB: Please inquire of past generations and consider the discoveries of their fathers.
9 ULB କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତ କାଲିର ଲୋକ ଓ କିଛି ଜାଣୁ ନାହୁଁ, ଯେଣୁ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦିନ ଛାୟା ସ୍ୱରୂପ; BSB BSB: For we were born yesterday and know nothing; our days on earth are but a shadow.
10 ULB ସେମାନେ କ’ଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଜଣାଇବେ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରୁ କ’ଣ ବାକ୍ୟ ଉଚ୍ଚାରଣ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ? BSB BSB: Will they not teach you and tell you, and speak from their understanding?
11 ULB ପଙ୍କ ବିନା କ’ଣ ନଳ ବଢ଼ିପାରେ? ଜଳ ବିନା କ’ଣ ସନ୍ତରା ବଢ଼ିପାରେ? BSB BSB: Does papyrus grow where there is no marsh? Do reeds flourish without water?
12 ULB ତାହା ସତେଜ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ଓ କଟା ନୋହୁଣୁ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ତୃଣ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: While the shoots are still uncut, they dry up more quickly than grass.
13 ULB ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପାସୋରନ୍ତି, ସେସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ପଥ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଓ ଧର୍ମହୀନ ଲୋକର ଭରସା ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ, BSB BSB: Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so the hope of the godless will perish.
14 ULB ତାହାର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଶା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ, ଯେଣୁ ତାହାର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ମାକଡ଼ସାର ଜାଲ ସ୍ୱରୂପ। BSB BSB: His confidence is fragile; his security is in a spider’s web.
15 ULB ସେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ଉପରେ ଆଉଜିବ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ସ୍ଥିର ରହିବ ନାହିଁ; ସେ ତାହା ଦୃଢ଼ କରି ଅବଲମ୍ବନ କରିବ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ରହିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: He leans on his web, but it gives way; he holds fast, but it does not endure.
16 ULB ସେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସତେଜ ହୁଏ, ତାହାର କୋମଳ ଶାଖା ତାହାର ଉଦ୍ୟାନରେ ମାଡ଼ିଯାଏ। BSB BSB: He is a well-watered plant in the sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden.
17 ULB ତାହାର ଚେର ପ୍ରସ୍ତରରାଶିରେ ଜଡ଼ିତ ହୁଏ, ସେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରର ସ୍ଥଳ ଦେଖେ। BSB BSB: His roots wrap around the rock heap; he looks for a home among the stones.
18 ULB ଯଦି ସେ ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ, ତେବେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନ ତାହାକୁ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରି କହିବ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: If he is uprooted from his place, it will disown him, saying, ‘I never saw you.’
19 ULB ଦେଖ, ଏହି ତାହାର ଗତିର ଆମୋଦ, ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଭୂମିରୁ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ଉଠିବେ। BSB BSB: Surely this is the joy of his way; yet others will spring from the dust.
20 ULB ଦେଖ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକକୁ ଦୂର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ସେ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ରଖିବେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Behold, God does not reject the blameless, nor will He strengthen the hand of evildoers.
21 ULB ତେବେ ହେଁ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖକୁ ହାସ୍ୟରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦଧ୍ୱନିରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବେ। BSB BSB: He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with a shout of joy.
22 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭର ଘୃଣାକାରୀମାନେ ଲଜ୍ଜା ପରିହିତ ହେବେ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ତମ୍ବୁ ଆଉ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”
