4 ULB ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଜ ଜଳ ରୂପା ଦେଇ ପାନ କରିଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କାଷ୍ଠ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିକାଯାଏ। BSB BSB: We must buy the water we drink; our wood comes at a price.
5 ULB ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପଛରେ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବେକ ଧରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ ଓ କିଛି ବିଶ୍ରାମ ପାଇ ନାହୁଁ। BSB BSB: We are closely pursued; we are weary and find no rest.
6 ULB ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଖାଦ୍ୟରେ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମିସ୍ରୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଅଶୂରୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ହାତ ଦେଇଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: We submitted to Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread.
7 ULB ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ପାପ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ମରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧର୍ମ ବହନ କରିଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: Our fathers sinned and are no more, but we bear their punishment.
8 ULB ଦାସମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରନ୍ତି; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ କେହି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Slaves rule over us; there is no one to deliver us from their hands.
9 ULB ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଥିବାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ ସଙ୍କଟରେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ପାଉଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: We get our bread at the risk of our lives because of the sword in the wilderness.

14 ULB ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ନଗରଦ୍ୱାରରୁ, ଯୁବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଆପଣା ବାଦ୍ୟରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: The elders have left the city gate; the young men have stopped their music.
15 ULB ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚିତ୍ତର ଆନନ୍ଦ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ନୃତ୍ୟ ଶୋକରେ ପରିଣତ ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: Joy has left our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning.
16 ULB ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମସ୍ତକରୁ ମୁକୁଟ ଖସି ପଡ଼ିଅଛି; ଧିକ୍ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ! କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପ କରିଅଛୁ। BSB BSB: The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!
17 ULB ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହୋଇଅଛି; ଏହିସବୁ କାରଣରୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଧନ୍ଦଳା ହୋଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: Because of this, our hearts are faint; because of these, our eyes grow dim—

19 ULB ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିତ୍ୟସ୍ଥାୟୀ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସିଂହାସନ ପୁରୁଷାନୁକ୍ରମେ ଥାଏ। BSB BSB: You, O LORD, reign forever; Your throne endures from generation to generation.
20 ULB ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଚିର କାଳ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାସୋରୁ ଅଛ, ଆଉ ଏତେ ଦୀର୍ଘ କାଳ ଅାମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରୁଅଛ? BSB BSB: Why have You forgotten us forever? Why have You forsaken us for so long?
