1 ULB ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଶେଷ କରି ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished saying all these things, He told His disciples,
2 ULB ଦୁଇ ଦିନ ପରେ ଯେ ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବ ହେବ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ, ପୁଣି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର କ୍ରୁଶରେ ହତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବେ। BSB BSB: “You know that the Passover is two days away, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
4 ULB ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଛଳରେ ଧରି ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ; BSB BSB: and they conspired to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him.
5 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ପର୍ବ ସମୟରେ ନୁହେଁ, କାଳେ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗଣ୍ଡଗୋଳ ହେବ। BSB BSB: “But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”
6 ULB ଯୀଶୁ ବେଥନୀୟାରେ କୁଷ୍ଠୀ ଶିମୋନଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ, BSB BSB: While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper,
7 ULB ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଗୋଟିଏ ପାତ୍ରରେ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ତୈଳ ନେଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ଭୋଜନରେ ବସିଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମସ୍ତକରେ ଢାଳିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। BSB BSB: a woman came to Him with an alabaster jar of expensive perfume, which she poured on His head as He reclined at the table.
8 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ବିରକ୍ତ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, ଏତେ ଅପବ୍ୟୟ କାହିଁକି? BSB BSB: When the disciples saw this, they were indignant and asked, “Why this waste?
9 ULB ଏହା ତ ଅନେକ ଟଙ୍କାରେ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରାଯାଇ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଯାଇ ପାରିଥାନ୍ତା। BSB BSB: This perfume could have been sold at a high price, and the money given to the poor.”
10 ULB ଯୀଶୁ ତାହା ଜାଣି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, କାହିଁକି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକଟିକୁ କଷ୍ଟ ଦେଉଅଛ? ସେ ତ ମୋ ପ୍ରତି ଉତ୍ତମ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛି। BSB BSB: Aware of this, Jesus asked, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful deed to Me.
11 ULB ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନେ ତ ସର୍ବଦା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଦା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ନ ଥିବି। BSB BSB: The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.
12 ULB ଆଉ, ସେ ମୋର ସମାଧି-କ୍ରିୟାସ୍ୱରୂପେ ମୋହର ଶରୀରରେ ଏହି ତୈଳ ଢାଳିଦେଇଅଛି। BSB BSB: By pouring this perfume on Me, she has prepared My body for burial.
13 ULB ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ସମସ୍ତ ଜଗତର ଯେକୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଏହି ସୁସମାଚାର ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯିବ, ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଏ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକର ସ୍ମରଣାର୍ଥେ ତାହାର ଏହି କର୍ମର କଥା ମଧ୍ୟ କୁହାଯିବ। BSB BSB: Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached in all the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
14 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଈଷ୍କାରିୟୋଥ ଯିହୂଦା ନାମକ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଇ କହିଲା, BSB BSB: Then one of the Twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 ULB ମୋତେ କ'ଣ ଦେବେ କୁହନ୍ତୁ, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରାଇଦେବି। ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ତିରିଶିଗୋଟି ରୌପ୍ୟମୁଦ୍ରା ତୌଲି କରିଦେଲେ। BSB BSB: and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I hand Him over to you?” And they set out for him thirty pieces of silver.
16 ULB ଆଉ ସେହି ସମୟଠାରୁ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରାଇ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୁଯୋଗ ଖୋଜିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା। BSB BSB: So from then on Judas looked for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
17 ULB ପରେ ଖମୀରଶୂନ୍ୟ ରୁଟି ପର୍ବର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବର ଭୋଜ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବୁ ବୋଲି ଆପଣ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି? BSB BSB: On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
18 ULB ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ନଗରରେ ଯାଇ ଅମୁକ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ କୁହ, ଗୁରୁ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ମୋହର କାଳ ସନ୍ନିକଟ, ମୁଁ ମୋହର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଗୃହରେ ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବ ପାଳନ କରିବି। BSB BSB: He answered, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him that the Teacher says, ‘My time is near. I will keep the Passover with My disciples at your house.’”
19 ULB ସେଥିରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶ ଅନୁସାରେ କର୍ମ କରି ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବର ଭୋଜ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲେ। BSB BSB: So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
20 ULB ପରେ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଭୋଜନରେ ବସିଲେ। BSB BSB: When evening came, Jesus was reclining with the twelve disciples.
21 ULB ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ମୋତେ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ। BSB BSB: And while they were eating, He said to them, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray Me.”
22 ULB ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସେ କ'ଣ ମୁଁ? BSB BSB: They were deeply grieved and began to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I, Lord?”
23 ULB ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଯେ ମୋ ସହିତ ପାତ୍ରରେ ହାତ ବୁଡ଼ାଇଲା, ସେ ମୋତେ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ। BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with Me will betray Me.
24 ULB ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଯେପରି ଲେଖା ଅଛି, ସେହିପରି ସେ ପ୍ରୟାଣ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି ସତ୍ୟ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେଉଅଛନ୍ତି, ହାୟ, ସେ ଦଣ୍ଡର ପାତ୍ର; ସେହି ଲୋକର ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲେ ତାହା ପକ୍ଷରେ ଭଲ ହୋଇଥାଆନ୍ତା। BSB BSB: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed. It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
25 ULB ଏଥିରେ ଯେଉଁ ଯିହୂଦା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲା, ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲା, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ସେ କ'ଣ ମୁଁ? ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିଅଛ। BSB BSB: Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”
26 ULB ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ରୁଟି ନେଇ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ ଓ ତାହା ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, ନିଅ, ଭୋଜନ କର, ଏହା ମୋହର ଶରୀର। BSB BSB: While they were eating, Jesus took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is My body.”
27 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ପାନପାତ୍ର ନେଇ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
28 ULB ଏଥିରୁ ସମସ୍ତେ ପାନ କର, କାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ନିୟମର ରକ୍ତ ଅନେକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପାପ କ୍ଷମା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପାତିତ ହେଉଅଛି, ଏ ମୋହର ସେହି ରକ୍ତ। BSB BSB: This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
29 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ପିତାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନୂଆ କରି ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଫଳର ରସ ପାନ କରିବି, ସେହି ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଜିଠାରୁ ଏହା କେବେ ହେଁ ପାନ କରିବି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
30 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ସ୍ତବଗାନ କଲା ପରେ ଜୀତପର୍ବତକୁ ବାହାରିଗଲେ। BSB BSB: And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ରାତ୍ରିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମୋଠାରେ ବିଘ୍ନ ପାଇବ, କାରଣ ଲେଖା ଅଛି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମେଷପାଳକକୁ ପ୍ରହାର କରିବା, ଆଉ ପଲର ମେଷଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇଯିବେ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of Me. For it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
32 ULB ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ଉଠିବା ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଗାଲିଲୀକୁ ଯିବି। BSB BSB: But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
33 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଯଦ୍ୟପି ସମସ୍ତେ ଆପଣଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଘ୍ନ ପାଇବେ, ତଥାପି ମୁଁ କେବେ ହେଁ ପାଇବି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: Peter said to Him, “Even if all fall away on account of You, I never will.”
34 ULB ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଏହି ରାତିରେ କୁକୁଡ଼ା ଡାକିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ତିନି ଥର ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ। BSB BSB: “Truly I tell you,” Jesus declared, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
35 ULB ପିତର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଯଦ୍ୟପି ମୋତେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ମରିବାକୁ ହୁଏ, ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ କେବେ ହେଁ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବି ନାହିଁ। ସମସ୍ତ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ କହିଲେ। BSB BSB: Peter replied, “Even if I have to die with You, I will never deny You.” And all the other disciples said the same thing.
36 ULB ଏହାପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗେଥ୍ଶିମାନୀ ନାମକ ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ସେଠାକୁ ଯାଇ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଥିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ବସିଥାଅ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus went with His disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and He told them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
37 ULB ଆଉ, ସେ ପିତର ଓ ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ଦୁଇ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଇ ଶୋକାକୁଳ ଓ ବ୍ୟଥିତ ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। BSB BSB: He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.
38 ULB ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୋହର ପ୍ରାଣ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରିବା ପରି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶୋକାକୁଳ ହେଉଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ରହି ମୋ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଜାଗିଥାଅ। BSB BSB: Then He said to them, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.”
39 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ଅଳ୍ପ ଦୂର ଆଗକୁ ଯାଇ ଉବୁଡ଼ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁ କରୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ମୋହର ପିତା, ଯଦି ହୋଇପାରେ, ତେବେ ଏହି ପାନପାତ୍ର ମୋ'ଠାରୁ ଦୂର ହେଉ; ତଥାପି ମୋହର ଇଚ୍ଛା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭର ଇଚ୍ଛା। BSB BSB: Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
40 ULB ଆଉ, ସେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଦେଖିଲେ ଓ ପିତରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ମୋ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ହେଲେ ଜାଗି ପାରିଲ ନାହିଁ? BSB BSB: Then Jesus returned to the disciples and found them sleeping. “Were you not able to keep watch with Me for one hour?” He asked Peter.
41 ULB ପରୀକ୍ଷାରେ ଯେପରି ନ ପଡ଼, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଜାଗି ରହି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର; ଆତ୍ମା ଇଚ୍ଛୁକ ସତ୍ୟ, ମାତ୍ର ଶରୀର ଦୁର୍ବଳ। BSB BSB: “Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
42 ULB ପୁଣି, ଥରେ ସେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଥର ଯାଇ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହିଲେ, ହେ ମୋହର ପିତା, ପାନ ନ କଲେ ଏହି ପାତ୍ର ଯଦି ମୋଠାରୁ ଦୂର ହୋଇ ନ ପାରେ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଇଚ୍ଛା ସଫଳ ହେଉ। BSB BSB: A second time He went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass unless I drink it, may Your will be done.”
43 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆସି ପୁଣି, ଥରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଦେଖିଲେ, କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଆଖି ମାଡ଼ିପଡ଼ୁଥିଲା। BSB BSB: And again Jesus returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
44 ULB ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପୁଣି, ଥରେ ଯାଇ ଆଉ ଥରେ ସେହି କଥା କହି ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ। BSB BSB: So He left them and went away once more and prayed a third time, saying the same thing.
45 ULB ପରେ ସେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଶୋଇ କରି ବିଶ୍ରାମ କର, ଦେଖ, ସେହି ସମୟ ସନ୍ନିକଟ ହେଲାଣି, ପୁଣି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେଉଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: Then He returned to the disciples and said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46 ULB ଉଠ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିବା, ଦେଖ, ଯେ ମୋତେ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରୁଅଛି, ସେ ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ। BSB BSB: Rise, let us go! See, My betrayer is approaching!”
48 ULB ଆଉ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଶତ୍ରୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣକାରୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସଙ୍କେତ ଦେଇ କହିଥିଲା, ମୁଁ ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କରିବି, ସେ ସେହି, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବ। BSB BSB: Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him.”
49 ULB ଆଉ, ସେ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ନମସ୍କାର, ଏହା କହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବହୁତ ଚୁମ୍ବନ କଲା। BSB BSB: Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
50 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ବନ୍ଧୁ, ଯାହା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆସିଅଛ, ତାହା କର। ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହାତ ପକାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିଲେ। BSB BSB: “Friend,” Jesus replied, “do what you came for.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus, and arrested Him.
53 ULB ଅଥବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ମନେ କରୁଅଛ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ବିନତି କରି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ସେ ଏହିକ୍ଷଣି ମୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ବାହିନୀ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ଦୂତଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଦେବେ ନାହିଁ? BSB BSB: Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
54 ULB ତେବେ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଘଟିବ ବୋଲି ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରର ବାକ୍ୟ କି ପ୍ରକାର ସଫଳ ହେବ? BSB BSB: But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”
55 ULB ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକସମୂହକୁ କହିଲେ, ଡକଇତ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବାହାରିବା ପରି ଖଣ୍ଡା ଓ ଠେଙ୍ଗା ନେଇ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ'ଣ ମୋତେ ଧରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲ? ମୁଁ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ବସି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଥିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଧରିଲ ନାହିଁ; BSB BSB: At that time Jesus said to the crowd, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would an outlaw? Every day I sat teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest Me.
56 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ଯେପରି ସଫଳ ହୁଏ, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଏସମସ୍ତ ଘଟିଅଛି। ସେତେବେଳେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ପଳାଇଗଲେ। BSB BSB: But this has all happened so that the writings of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples deserted Him and fled.
58 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତର ଦୂରରେ ରହି ମହାଯାଜକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ, ଆଉ ଶେଷରେ କ'ଣ ଘଟିବ, ତାହା ଦେଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ପଦାତିକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବସି ରହିଲେ। BSB BSB: But Peter followed Him at a distance, right up to the courtyard of the high priest. And he went in and sat down with the guards to see the outcome.
59 ULB ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନେ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ମହାସଭା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ମିଥ୍ୟା ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଖୋଜିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, BSB BSB: Now the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus in order to put Him to death.
60 ULB ଆଉ ଅନେକ ମିଥ୍ୟା ସାକ୍ଷୀ ବାହାରିଲେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ସେମାନେ କିଛି ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଶେଷରେ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ବାହାରି କହିଲେ, BSB BSB: But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward
61 ULB ଏହି ଲୋକଟା କହିଥିଲା, ମୁଁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ତାହା ତିନି ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତୋଳି ଦେଇ ପାରେ। BSB BSB: and declared, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
62 ULB ସେଥିରେ ମହାଯାଜକ ଉଠି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଛି ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଉ ନାହଁ? ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଏମାନେ ଏ ଯେଉଁ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା କ'ଣ? BSB BSB: So the high priest stood up and asked Him, “Have You no answer? What are these men testifying against You?”
63 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ମୌନ ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ। ସେଥିରେ ମହାଯାଜକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜୀବନ୍ତ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଶପଥ ଦେଉଅଛୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ? BSB BSB: But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to Him, “I charge You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God.”
64 ULB ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆପଣ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆହୁରି ମୁଁ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଅଦ୍ୟାବଧି ଆପଣମାନେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ପରାକ୍ରମର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଆକାଶର ମେଘମାଳାରେ ଆଗମନ କରିବା ଦେଖିବେ। BSB BSB: “You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 ULB ସେଥିରେ ମହାଯାଜକ ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରି କହିଲେ, ଏ ଈଶ୍ୱର ନିନ୍ଦା କଲା, ସାକ୍ଷୀରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆଉ କ'ଣ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ? ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆପଣମାନେ ଏବେ ହେଁ ଈଶ୍ୱର ନିନ୍ଦା ଶୁଣିଲେ, BSB BSB: At this, the high priest tore his clothes and declared, “He has blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy.
66 ULB ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କର ମତ କ'ଣ? ଏଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ସେ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ। BSB BSB: What do you think?” “He deserves to die,” they answered.

68 ULB ରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ତୁ ପରା ଭାବବାଦୀ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହ ତ, କିଏ ତୋତେ ମାଇଲା? BSB BSB: and said, “Prophesy to us, Christ! Who hit You?”
69 ULB ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ପିତର ବାହାରେ ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣରେ ବସିଥିଲେ, ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଦାସୀ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଗାଲିଲୀୟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥିଲ। BSB BSB: Meanwhile, Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came up to him. “You also were with Jesus the Galilean,” she said.
70 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରି କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ କହୁଛ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: But he denied it before them all: “I do not know what you are talking about.”
71 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ଦାଣ୍ଡଦ୍ୱାରକୁ ବାହାରି ଯାଆନ୍ତେ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଦାସୀ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ଏ ନାଜରିତୀୟ ଯୀଶୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥିଲା। BSB BSB: When Peter had gone out to the gateway, another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72 ULB ପୁଣି, ସେ ରାଣ ପକାଇ ଆଉ ଥରେ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରି କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ସେ ଲୋକକୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man!”
73 ULB ଅଳ୍ପ କ୍ଷଣ ପରେ ପାଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ପିତରଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ କଥାରୁ ତ ଜଣାପଡ଼ୁଅଛି। BSB BSB: After a little while, those standing nearby came up to Peter. “Surely you are one of them,” they said, “for your accent gives you away.”
74 ULB ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦେଇ ରାଣ ପକାଇ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ମୁଁ ସେ ଲୋକକୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: At that he began to curse and swear to them, “I do not know the man!” And immediately a rooster crowed.
75 ULB ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି କୁକୁଡ଼ା ଡାକିଲା। ଏଥିରେ କୁକୁଡ଼ା ଡାକିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ତିନି ଥର ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରିବ, ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା ଯୀଶୁ କହିଥିଲେ, ତାହା ପିତରଙ୍କ ମନରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା, ଆଉ ସେ ବାହାରକୁ ଯାଇ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ ହୋଇ ରୋଦନ କଲେ। BSB BSB: Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.
