2 ULB ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ଈଶ୍ୱର ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ହେଉ। BSB BSB: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 ULB ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେତେ ଥର ସ୍ମରଣ କରେ, ସେତେ ଥର ମୋହର ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଇଥାଏ। BSB BSB: I thank my God every time I remember you.

7 ULB ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ମୋହର ଏପରି ଭାବିବା ଉଚିତ୍, ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନରେ ଯେପରି, ସୁସମାଚାର ପକ୍ଷ ସମର୍ଥନ ଓ ସେଥିର ସତ୍ୟ ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିବାରେ ସେହିପରି ମୋ' ସହିତ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହର ସହଭାଗୀ ଅଟ, ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ହୃଦୟରେ ଧାରଣ କରିଅଛି। BSB BSB: It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart. For in my chains and in my defense and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partners in grace with me.
8 ULB କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସ୍ନେହପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଣାରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କି ପ୍ରକାର ଲାଳାୟିତ, ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ଈଶ୍ୱର ମୋହର ସାକ୍ଷୀ। BSB BSB: God is my witness how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
9 ULB ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଏହି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରେମ, ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମ ବିଚାରରେ ଅଧିକରୁ ଅଧିକ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉ, BSB BSB: And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,
10 ULB ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟ ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମର୍ଥନ କରି ପାର, ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ଓ ପ୍ରଶଂସା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଯେଉଁ ଫଳ, BSB BSB: so that you may be able to test and prove what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
11 ULB ସେଥିରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦିନରେ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ଓ ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହୁଅ। BSB BSB: filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
12 ULB ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ମୋ' ପ୍ରତି ଯାହା ଯାହା ଘଟିଅଛି, ସେହି ସବୁ ଯେ ବରଂ ସୁସମାଚାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ନିମନ୍ତେ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବାକୁ ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ; BSB BSB: Now I want you to know, brothers, that my circumstances have actually served to advance the gospel.

14 ULB ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଭାଇମାନେ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରି ନିର୍ଭୟରେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ କହିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ଉତ୍ସୁକଭାବେ ସାହସୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: And most of the brothers, confident in the Lord by my chains, now dare more greatly to speak the word without fear.
15 ULB କେହି କେହି ଈର୍ଷା ଓ ବିବାଦ ହେତୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି ସତ୍ୟ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଉ କେହି କେହି ସତ୍ ଭାବରେ ତାହା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି; BSB BSB: It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
16 ULB ମୁଁ ଯେ ସୁସମାଚାରର ପକ୍ଷ ସମର୍ଥନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ରହିଅଛି, ଏହା ଜାଣି ଏକ ପକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରେମ ହେତୁ ତାହା କରନ୍ତି, BSB BSB: The latter do so in love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.
17 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ପକ୍ଷ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନରେ ମୋତେ କ୍ଳେଶ ଦେବାକୁ ଭାବି ଅସରଳ ଭାବରେ ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥପରତା ସକାଶେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଚାର କରନ୍ତି। BSB BSB: The former, however, preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can add to the distress of my chains.
18 ULB ସେଥିରେ ବା କ'ଣ? କପଟ ଭାବରେ ହେଉ ବା ସରଳ ଭାବରେ ହେଉ, ଯେକୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରଚାରିତ ହେଉଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏଥିରେ ମୁଁ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁଅଛି, ହଁ, ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବି। BSB BSB: What then is the issue? Just this: that in every way, whether by false motives or true, Christ is preached. And in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
19 ULB କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିବେଦନ ଓ ଯୀଶୁଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏସବୁ ମୋହର ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ଅନୁକୂଳ ହେବ, BSB BSB: because I know that through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, my distress will turn out for my deliverance.
20 ULB ଏ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ମୋହର ଏକାନ୍ତ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା ଓ ଭରସା ଅଛି ଯେ ମୁଁ କୌଣସି ବିଷୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସର୍ବଦା ଯେଉଁପରି, ଏବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ଅତି ସାହସରେ, ଜୀବନରେ ହେଉ ବା ମରଣରେ ହେଉ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ମୋହର ଶରୀରରେ ମହିମାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବି। BSB BSB: I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 ULB କାରଣ ମୋ' ପକ୍ଷରେ ଜୀବନଧାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ପୁଣି, ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ ଲାଭଜନକ। BSB BSB: For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 ULB କିନ୍ତୁ ଶରୀରରେ ଜୀବନଧାରଣ ଯଦି ମୋ' ପକ୍ଷରେ ଫଳପ୍ରଦ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାଧନ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ କ'ଣ ପସନ୍ଦ କରିବି, ତାହା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: But if I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. So what shall I choose? I do not know.
23 ULB ମୁଁ ଦୁଇଟି ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ମହା ସମସ୍ୟାରେ ପଡ଼ିଅଛି; ଇହଲୋକରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିବାକୁ ମୋହର ଇଚ୍ଛା, କାରଣ ତାହା ଅତୀବ ଶ୍ରେୟସ୍କର; BSB BSB: I am torn between the two. I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better indeed.
24 ULB ମାତ୍ର ଶରୀରରେ ରହିବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଧିକ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ। BSB BSB: But it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
25 ULB ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଦୃଢ଼ରୂପେ ଏହା ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ରହିବି, ହଁ, ବିଶ୍ୱାସରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିବି, BSB BSB: Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 ULB ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୋହର ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତି ହେତୁ ମୋ' ଦ୍ୱାରା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦର୍ପ ଅଧିକ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବ। BSB BSB: so that through my coming to you again your exultation in Christ Jesus will resound on account of me.
27 ULB ମୋହର ଏହି ମାତ୍ର ଇଚ୍ଛା, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସୁସମାଚାରର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଜା ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ଆଚରଣ କର, ଯେପରି ମୁଁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ ଅବା ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତ ଥାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଜାଣି ପାରିବି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏକ ଆତ୍ମାରେ ସ୍ଥିର ରହି ସୁସମାଚାରର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ପ୍ରାଣରେ ଏକସଙ୍ଗରେ ଉଦ୍ୟମ କରୁଅଛ, BSB BSB: Nevertheless, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending together as one for the faith of the gospel,
28 ULB ପୁଣି, କୌଣସି ବିଷୟରେ ବିପକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତ୍ରାସଯୁକ୍ତ ନୁହଁ; ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ବିନାଶ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ଈଶ୍ୱରଦତ୍ତ ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷଣ; BSB BSB: without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a clear sign of their destruction but of your salvation, and it is from God.
29 ULB କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ କେବଳ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି, ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାଙ୍କ ସକାଶେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ ମଧ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି; BSB BSB: For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him,
