4 ULB ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଶିଥିଳ ହସ୍ତରେ କର୍ମ କରେ, ସେ ଦରିଦ୍ର ହୁଅଇ; ମାତ୍ର କର୍ମଶୀଳର ହସ୍ତ ଧନବାନ କରେ। BSB BSB: Idle hands make one poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.
5 ULB ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମକାଳରେ ଯେ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରେ, ସେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ପୁତ୍ର; ମାତ୍ର ଫସଲ ସମୟରେ ଯେ ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଥାଏ, ସେହି ପୁତ୍ର ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ। BSB BSB: He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

8 ULB ଯେ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ, ସେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ; ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖ ପତିତ ହେବ। BSB BSB: A wise heart will receive commandments, but foolish lips will come to ruin.
9 ULB ସରଳାଚାରୀ ନିର୍ଭୟରେ ଚାଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ବକ୍ରଗାମୀ ଜଣା ପଡ଼ିବ। BSB BSB: He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
10 ULB ଯେ ଆଖିରେ ଠାର ମାରେ, ସେ ଦୁଃଖ ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ପୁଣି, ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ବକୁଆ ପତିତ ହେବ। BSB BSB: He who winks the eye causes grief, and foolish lips will come to ruin.
11 ULB ଧାର୍ମିକର ମୁଖ ଜୀବନର ନିର୍ଝର, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ମୁଖ ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଢାଙ୍କେ। BSB BSB: The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
12 ULB ହିଂସା କଳି ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରେମ ସବୁ ଅଧର୍ମ ଢାଙ୍କେ। BSB BSB: Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers all transgressions.
13 ULB ସୁବିବେକୀର ଓଷ୍ଠରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ନିର୍ବୋଧର ପିଠି ପାଇଁ ବାଡ଼ି। BSB BSB: Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks judgment.

16 ULB ଧାର୍ମିକର ପରିଶ୍ରମ ଜୀବନଜନକ, ପୁଣି, ଅଧାର୍ମିକର ଆୟ ପାପଜନକ। BSB BSB: The labor of the righteous leads to life, but the gain of the wicked brings punishment.
17 ULB ଉପଦେଶ ଯେ ମାନେ, ସେ ଜୀବନ-ପଥରେ ଚାଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଅନୁଯୋଗ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରେ, ସେ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଏ। BSB BSB: Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who ignores reproof goes astray.
18 ULB ଯେ ହିଂସା ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରେ, ତାହାର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ; ପୁଣି, ଯେ ଅପବାଦ ରଚନା କରେ, ସେ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ। BSB BSB: The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
19 ULB ବହୁ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଅଧର୍ମର ଅଭାବ ନ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଆପଣା ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରକୁ ଦମନ କରେ, ସେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ। BSB BSB: When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.

22 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଧନବାନ କରେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଦୁଃଖ ଯୋଗ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: The blessing of the LORD enriches, and He adds no sorrow to it.
23 ULB କୁକ୍ରିୟା କରିବାର ଅଜ୍ଞାନର କୌତୁକ, ସେହିପରି ଜ୍ଞାନ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକର। BSB BSB: The fool delights in shameful conduct, but a man of understanding has wisdom.
24 ULB ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଯାହା ଭୟ କରେ, ତାହା ହିଁ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି; ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକର ମନୋବାଞ୍ଛା ତାହାକୁ ଦିଆଯିବ। BSB BSB: What the wicked man dreads will overtake him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25 ULB ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁ ବହିଲେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଆଉ ନ ଥାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ ମୂଳଦୁଆ ସ୍ୱରୂପ। BSB BSB: When the whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure forever.
26 ULB ଯେପରି ଦନ୍ତକୁ କଟୁ ରସ ଓ ଚକ୍ଷୁକୁ ଧୂଆଁ, ସେପରି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରେରକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅଳସୁଆ। BSB BSB: Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the slacker to those who send him.
27 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟକ ଭୟ ଦିନ ବଢ଼ାଏ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ବର୍ଷ ଊଣା କରାଯିବ। BSB BSB: The fear of the LORD prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be cut short.
28 ULB ଧାର୍ମିକର ଆଶା ଆନନ୍ଦଜନକ ହେବ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଭରସା କ୍ଷୟ ପାଇବ। BSB BSB: The hope of the righteous is joy, but the expectations of the wicked will perish.
29 ULB ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପଥ ସରଳାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଢ଼ ଗଡ଼; ମାତ୍ର କୁକର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ତାହା ବିନାଶଜନକ। BSB BSB: The way of the LORD is a refuge to the upright, but destruction awaits those who do evil.
30 ULB ଧାର୍ମିକ କେବେ ହେଁ ଘୁଞ୍ଚା ଯିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଦେଶବାସୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ। BSB BSB: The righteous will never be shaken, but the wicked will not inhabit the land.
31 ULB ଧାର୍ମିକର ମୁଖ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଜନ୍ମାଏ, ମାତ୍ର କୁଟିଳବାଦୀ ଜିହ୍ୱା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ। BSB BSB: The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be cut out.
32 ULB ଧାର୍ମିକର ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ତୁଷ୍ଟିକର କଥା ଜାଣେ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ମୁଖ କୁଟିଳ କଥା କହେ। BSB BSB: The lips of the righteous know what is fitting, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
