1 ULB ਜਦ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਧੁੰਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੁਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਝਾਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਈ। BSB BSB: Now when the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with difficult questions.
2 ULB ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਕਾਫਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਸਾਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਊਠ ਅਤੇ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੋਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ। ਜਦ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। BSB BSB: She arrived in Jerusalem with a very large caravan—with camels bearing spices, gold in great abundance, and precious stones. 4 ULB ਜਦ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਦੇਖਿਆ। BSB BSB: When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the palace he had built,
5 ULB ਨਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਾ ਖਾਣਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੋਸ਼ ਉੱਡ ਗਏ। BSB BSB: the food at his table, the seating of his servants, the service and attire of his attendants, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he presented at the house of the LORD, it took her breath away.
6 ULB ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸੱਚੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁਣੀ। BSB BSB: She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your words and wisdom is true.
7 ULB ਪਰ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਦ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੱਧੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਤੇ ਨੇਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੁੰਮ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told to me. Your wisdom and prosperity have far exceeded the report I heard.
8 ULB ਧੰਨ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਧੰਨ ਹਨ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: How blessed are your men! How blessed are these servants of yours who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!
9 ULB ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਝਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਹਿੱਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਂ। BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel, He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”
10 ULB ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਵੀਹ ਤੋੜੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਸਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਮਸਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੀ ਐਨਾ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ। BSB BSB: Then she gave the king 120 talents of gold, a great quantity of spices, and precious stones. Never again were spices in such abundance brought in as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
11 ULB ਹੀਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਬੇੜਾ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਓਫੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਨਾ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਓਫੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਦਨ ਦੀ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਲਿਆਇਆ। BSB BSB: (The fleet of Hiram that brought gold from Ophir also brought from Ophir a great cargo of almug wood and precious stones.
12 ULB ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਮਹਿਲ ਲਈ ਚੰਦਨ ਦੀ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੀਆਂ ਥੰਮ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਗੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਬਾਬ ਬਣਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਚੰਦਨ ਦੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਕਦੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ। BSB BSB: The king made the almug wood into steps for the house of the LORD and for the king’s palace, and into lyres and harps for the singers. Never before had such almug wood been brought in, nor has such been seen again to this day.)
13 ULB ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਇੱਛਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਸੋ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਖਾਵਤ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਗਈ। BSB BSB: King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired—whatever she asked—besides what he had given her out of his royal bounty. Then she left and returned to her own country, along with her servants.
14 ULB ਉਸ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਛਿਆਹਠ ਤੋੜੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: The weight of gold that came to Solomon each year was 666 talents,
15 ULB ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੇ ਸੋਦਾਗਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: not including the revenue from the merchants, traders, and all the Arabian kings and governors of the land.
16 ULB ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਘੜ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਸੌ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਢਾਲ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਢੇ ਸੱਤ ਸੱਤ ਸੇਰ ਸੋਨਾ ਲੱਗਾ। BSB BSB: King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels of gold went into each shield.
17 ULB ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਘੜਵੀਆਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਢਾਲ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਕੁ ਸੇਰ ਸੋਨਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਬਾਨੋਨੀ ਬਣ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ। BSB BSB: He also made three hundred small shields of hammered gold; three minas of gold went into each shield. And the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
18 ULB ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਦੰਦ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁੰਦਨ ਸੋਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ। BSB BSB: Additionally, the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with pure gold.
19 ULB ਉਸ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਦੀ ਛੇ ਪੌਡੇ ਦੀ ਪੋੜੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਲਾ ਥਾਂ ਪਿੱਛਿਓਂ ਗੋਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੋਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਢਾਸਣੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਸਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਦੋ ਬਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: The throne had six steps, and its back had a rounded top. There were armrests on both sides of the seat, with a lion standing beside each armrest.
20 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਛੇ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like this had ever been made for any kingdom.
21 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੀਣ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਬਾਨੋਨੀ ਬਣ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਕੁੰਦਨ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਨ। ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: All King Solomon’s drinking cups were gold, and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. There was no silver, because it was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.
22 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੀ ਬੇੜਾ ਹੀਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਬੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ। ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਇਹ ਤਰਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੀ ਬੇੜਾ ਸੋਨਾ, ਚਾਂਦੀ, ਹਾਥੀ ਦੰਦ, ਬਾਂਦਰ ਤੇ ਮੋਰ ਲੱਦ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: For the king had the ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s fleet, and once every three years the ships of Tarshish would arrive bearing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
23 ULB ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
24 ULB ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਈ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: The whole world sought an audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom that God had put in his heart.
25 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ, ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ, ਬਸਤਰ, ਸ਼ਸਤਰ, ਮਸਾਲਾ, ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਚਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਲ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Year after year, each visitor would bring his tribute: articles of silver and gold, clothing, weapons, spices, horses, and mules.
27 ULB ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਲ੍ਹਰ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਢੇਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.
28 ULB ਉਹ ਘੋੜੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਕੋਲ ਸਨ ਮਿਸਰੋਂ ਲਿਆਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and Kue; the royal merchants purchased them from Kue.
29 ULB ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਰਥ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਰੂਪਏ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰੋਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਘੋੜਾ ਡੇਢ ਸੌ ਨਾਲ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. Likewise, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Aram.
