1 ULB ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਉੱਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧਾਇਆ। BSB BSB: Now Solomon son of David established himself securely over his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him and highly exalted him.
2 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੈਂਕੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ, ਨਿਆਈਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। BSB BSB: Then Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every leader in all Israel—the heads of the families.
3 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਜੋ ਗਿਬਓਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: And Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon because it was the location of God’s Tent of Meeting, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
4 ULB ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਯਆਰੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਤੰਬੂ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Now David had brought the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.
5 ULB ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਊਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੂਰ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਬਸਲਿਏਲ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਭਾ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: But the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, was in Gibeon before the tabernacle of the LORD. So Solomon and the assembly inquired of Him there.
6 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਓਧਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਲ ਗਿਆ ਜੋ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਕੋਲ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜਾਈਆਂ। BSB BSB: Solomon offered sacrifices there before the LORD on the bronze altar at the Tent of Meeting, where he offered a thousand burnt offerings.
7 ULB ਓਸੇ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੰਗ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਦੇਵਾਂ? BSB BSB: That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “Ask, and I will give it to you!”
8 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਦਯਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ BSB BSB: Solomon replied to God: “You have shown much loving devotion to my father David, and You have made me king in his place.
9 ULB ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਹੈ BSB BSB: Now, O LORD God, let Your promise to my father David be fulfilled. For You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.
10 ULB ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਧ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅੰਦਰ-ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਇਸ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੌਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Now grant me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may lead this people. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?”
11 ULB ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ, ਨਾ ਪਤ, ਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਮੰਗੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਉਮਰ ਮੰਗੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਬੁੱਧ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: God said to Solomon, “Since this was in your heart instead of requesting riches or wealth or honor for yourself or death for your enemies—and since you have not even requested long life but have asked for wisdom and knowledge to govern My people over whom I have made you king—
12 ULB ਬੁੱਧ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: therefore wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. And I will also give you riches and wealth and honor unlike anything given to the kings before you or after you.”
13 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਗਿਬਓਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ। BSB BSB: So Solomon went to Jerusalem from the high place in Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, and he reigned over Israel.
14 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਰੱਥ ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਸੌ ਰੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਘੋੜ ਸਵਾਰ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: Solomon accumulated 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses, which he stationed in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.
15 ULB ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੂਲਰ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਖ਼ਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜੋ ਘੋੜੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਹੇੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.
16 ULB ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਰੱਥ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਰੁਪਏ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਘੋੜਾ ਡੇਢ ਸੌ ਰੁਪਏ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and Kue; the royal merchants purchased them from Kue.
17 ULB ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਰੱਥ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਘੋੜਾ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਡੇਢ ਸੌ ਰੁਪਏ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਸਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਹਿੱਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ। BSB BSB: A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. Likewise, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Aram.
