11 ULB ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਹਰਾਰੀ ਅਗੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ੰਮਾਹ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਇੱਕ ਪੈਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਸਰ ਬੀਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਪੱਠੇ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਨੱਸ ਗਏ। BSB BSB: And after him was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. 13 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੀਹਾਂ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਗੁਫਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਰਫਾਈਮ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਏ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: At harvest time, three of the thirty chief men went down to David at the cave of Adullam, while a company of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.

15 ULB ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਬੈਤਹਲਮ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਇੱਕ ਘੁੱਟ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਲਾਵੇ। BSB BSB: David longed for water and said, “Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!”
16 ULB ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਬੈਤਹਲਮ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫਾਟਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਪੀਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: So the three mighty men broke through the Philistine camp, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem, and brought it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out to the LORD,
17 ULB ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਗਏ! ਸੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਾਂਹ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ। BSB BSB: saying, “Far be it from me, O LORD, to do this! Is this not the blood of the men who risked their lives?” So he refused to drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty men.
