3 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨੋ। BSB BSB: For I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Ascribe greatness to our God!

BSB BSB: Is this how you repay the LORD, O foolish and senseless people? Is He not your Father and Creator? Has He not made you and established you?

9 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੈ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦਾ ਭਾਗ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: But the LORD’s portion is His people, Jacob His allotted inheritance.

12 ULB ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: The LORD alone led him, and no foreign god was with him.

He abandoned the God who made him and scorned the Rock of his salvation.
16 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਾਏ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਦੁਆਇਆ। BSB BSB: They provoked His jealousy with foreign gods; they enraged Him with abominations.
17 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ, ਨਵੇਂ-ਨਵੇਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰੇ। BSB BSB: They sacrificed to demons, not to God, to gods they had not known, to newly arrived gods, which your fathers did not fear.
18 ULB ਜਿਸ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆ। BSB BSB: You ignored the Rock who brought you forth; you forgot the God who gave you birth.
19 ULB ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਘਿਰਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ-ਧੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ। BSB BSB: When the LORD saw this, He rejected them, provoked to anger by His sons and daughters.
20 ULB ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕਾ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਹਠੀਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਉਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਈਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: He said: “I will hide My face from them; I will see what will be their end. For they are a perverse generation—children of unfaithfulness.
21 ULB ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਸਤੂ ਤੋਂ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੁਆਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੌਮ ਤੋਂ ਈਰਖਾ ਕਰਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਦੁਆਵਾਂਗਾ, BSB BSB: They have provoked My jealousy by that which is not God; they have enraged Me with their worthless idols. So I will make them jealous by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation without understanding.
22 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਭੜਕ ਉੱਠੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪਤਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਬਲਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਦਾਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਭਸਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: For a fire has been kindled by My anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and scorches the foundations of the mountains.
23 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: I will heap disasters upon them; I will spend My arrows against them.
24 ULB ਉਹ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਢਲ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਸਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੰਦ ਚਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਿਸਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: They will be wasted from hunger and ravaged by pestilence and bitter plague; I will send the fangs of wild beasts against them, with the venom of vipers that slither in the dust.

37 ULB ਤਦ ਉਹ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ? ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ? BSB BSB: He will say: “Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge,
38 ULB ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਧ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਸਨ? ਉਹ ਉੱਠਣ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਓਟ ਹੋਣ! BSB BSB: which ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let them give you shelter!

46 ULB ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, "ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਓ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਖੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿਓ, BSB BSB: he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this law.
47 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹਲਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਪਾਰ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।" BSB BSB: For they are not idle words to you, because they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
48 ULB ਫੇਰ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ, BSB BSB: On that same day the LORD said to Moses,
49 ULB "ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਅਬਾਰੀਮ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਬੋ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ, ਜੋ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ। BSB BSB: “Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo, in the land of Moab across from Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites as their own possession.
50 ULB ਫੇਰ ਉਸੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: And there on the mountain that you climb, you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people.
51 ULB ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੀਨ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ, ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ ਕੋਲ ਮਰੀਬਾਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੋਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ BSB BSB: For at the waters of Meribah-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you broke faith with Me among the Israelites by failing to treat Me as holy in their presence.
52 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵੇਖੇਂਗਾ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ।" BSB BSB: Although you shall see from a distance the land that I am giving the Israelites, you shall not enter it.”
