2 ULB ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜਾ ਕਰੋ! ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰੇ! BSB BSB: Rebuke your mother, rebuke her, for she is not My wife, and I am not her husband. Let her remove the adultery from her face and the unfaithfulness from between her breasts.
3 ULB ਕਿਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਨੰਗੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾ ਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂ। BSB BSB: Otherwise, I will strip her naked and expose her like the day of her birth. I will make her like a desert and turn her into a parched land, and I will let her die of thirst.
4 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: I will have no compassion on her children, because they are the children of adultery.
5 ULB ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੀ ਉੱਨ, ਮੇਰੀ ਕਤਾਨ, ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸ਼ਰਬਤ ਵੀ! BSB BSB: For their mother has played the harlot and has conceived them in disgrace. For she thought, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give me bread and water, wool and linen, oil and drink.’
6 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਹ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੰਧ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਹ ਨਾ ਮਿਲੇ। BSB BSB: Therefore, behold, I will hedge up her path with thorns; I will enclose her with a wall, so she cannot find her way.
7 ULB ਉਹ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇਗੀ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲੇਗੀ ਪਰ ਪਾਵੇਗੀ ਨਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਖੇਗੀ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਾਂਗੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹਾਲ ਹੁਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: She will pursue her lovers but not catch them; she will seek them but not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will return to my first husband, for then I was better off than now.’
9 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੰਨ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਮੈਅ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਸਿਰ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਉੱਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਤਾਨ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨੰਗੇਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Therefore I will take back My grain in its time and My new wine in its season; I will take away My wool and linen, which were given to cover her nakedness.
10 ULB ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਵੇਗਾ ਨਾ! BSB BSB: And then I will expose her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of My hands.
11 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਮੱਸਿਆ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਬਤ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਮਿਥੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਰਬ। BSB BSB: I will put an end to all her exultation: her feasts, New Moons, and Sabbaths—all her appointed feasts.
12 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਰਚੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: I will destroy her vines and fig trees, which she thinks are the wages paid by her lovers. So I will make them into a thicket, and the beasts of the field will devour them.
13 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਧੂਫ਼ ਧੁਖਾਈ, ਅਤੇ ਬਾਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਗਈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: I will punish her for the days of the Baals when she burned incense to them, when she adorned herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers. But Me she forgot,” declares the LORD.
15 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਨਾਲੇ ਆਕੋਰ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵੀ ਆਸਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਲਈ। ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੁਆਨੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਆਈ। BSB BSB: There I will give back her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor into a gateway of hope. There she will respond as she did in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.
17 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਦ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: For I will remove from her lips the names of the Baals; no longer will their names be invoked.
18 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਘਿਸਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਧਣੁਖ, ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੈਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੇਟਣ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: On that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the creatures that crawl on the ground. And I will abolish bow and sword and battle in the land, and will make them lie down in safety.
20 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੁਲਹਨ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੇਂਗੀ। BSB BSB: And I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will know the LORD.”
21 ULB ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: “On that day I will respond—” declares the LORD—“I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth.
22 ULB ਧਰਤੀ ਅੰਨ, ਨਵੀਂ ਮੈਅ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and oil, and they will respond to Jezreel.
23 ULB ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਲੋ-ਰੁਹਾਮਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਲੋ-ਅੰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! BSB BSB: And I will sow her as My own in the land, and I will have compassion on ‘No Compassion.’ I will say to those called ‘Not My People,’ ‘You are My people,’ and they will say, ‘You are my God.’”
