1 ULB ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖੋ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੇ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ, BSB BSB: For behold, the Lord GOD of Hosts is about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: the whole supply of food and water,
2 ULB ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਤੇ ਯੋਧਾ, ਨਿਆਈ ਤੇ ਨਬੀ, ਫਾਲ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ, BSB BSB: the mighty man and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the soothsayer and the elder,
3 ULB ਪੰਜਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਰਈਸ, ਦਰਬਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਕਾਰੀਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਤਰ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: the commander of fifty and the dignitary, the counselor, the cunning magician, and the clever enchanter.
4 ULB ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। BSB BSB: “I will make mere lads their leaders, and children will rule over them.”

6 ULB ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਖੇਗਾ,- ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਚੋਗਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਆਗੂ ਹੋ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉੱਜੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਢੇਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: A man will seize his brother within his father’s house: “You have a cloak—you be our leader! Take charge of this heap of rubble.”
7 ULB ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਚੋਗਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਓ! BSB BSB: On that day he will cry aloud: “I am not a healer. I have no food or clothing in my house. Do not make me leader of the people!”
8 ULB ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤਾਂ ਠੇਡਾ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇਜਵਾਨ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: For Jerusalem has stumbled and Judah has fallen because they spoke and acted against the LORD, defying His glorious presence.
9 ULB ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੂਮ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ,- ਹਾਇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ! ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: The expression on their faces testifies against them, and like Sodom they flaunt their sin; they do not conceal it. Woe to them, for they have brought disaster upon themselves.
10 ULB ਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their labor.
11 ULB ਹਾਇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉੱਤੇ! ਉਹ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪ ਭੋਗੇਗਾ BSB BSB: Woe to the wicked; disaster is upon them! For they will be repaid with what their hands have done.

14 ULB ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਟ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੀ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: The LORD brings this charge against the elders and leaders of His people: “You have devoured the vineyard; the plunder of the poor is in your houses.
15 ULB ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕੀ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਅਤੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਗੜਦੇ ਹੋ? BSB BSB: Why do you crush My people and grind the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts.

17 ULB ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਗੰਜਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੰਗੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will make their foreheads bare.”

20 ULB ਚੌਂਕ, ਕੰਗਣ, ਪਟਕੇ, ਅਤਰਦਾਨੀਆਂ, ਚੌਂਕੀਆਂ, BSB BSB: their headdresses, ankle chains, and sashes; their perfume bottles and charms;
21 ULB ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਦਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨੱਥਾਂ, BSB BSB: their signet rings and nose rings;
22 ULB ਰਾਖਵੇਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ, ਚੱਦਰਾਂ, ਦੁਪੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੀਸੇ, BSB BSB: their festive robes, capes, cloaks, and purses;
23 ULB ਆਰਸੀਆਂ, ਮਲਮਲ, ਸਾਫ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਕੇ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: and their mirrors, linen garments, tiaras, and shawls.
24 ULB ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਸੜ੍ਹਿਆਂਧ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਪਟਕੇ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਰੱਸੀ, ਮੀਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਗੰਜ, ਚੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਟਾਟ ਦੀ ਪੇਟੀ, ਸੁਹੱਪਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਦਾਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: Instead of fragrance there will be a stench; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of styled hair, baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, shame.
25 ULB ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: Your men will fall by the sword, and your warriors in battle.
26 ULB ਉਹ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੁੱਟ-ਪੁੱਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਬੈਠੇਗੀ। BSB BSB: And the gates of Zion will lament and mourn; destitute, she will sit on the ground.
