1 ULB ਜਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ। BSB BSB: On hearing this report, King Hezekiah tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and entered the house of the LORD.
2 ULB ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਸੀ, ਸ਼ਬਨਾ ਮੁਨੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਪੜ ਪੁਆ ਕੇ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ। BSB BSB: And he sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz
3 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਦੁੱਖ, ਘੁਰਕੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬੱਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੰਮਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਜਣਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ। BSB BSB: to tell him, “This is what Hezekiah says: Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace; for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.
4 ULB ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਬਚਿਆਂ-ਖੁਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ। BSB BSB: Perhaps the LORD your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to defy the living God, and He will rebuke him for the words that the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up a prayer for the remnant that still survives.”
5 ULB ਜਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ BSB BSB: So the servants of King Hezekiah went to Isaiah,
6 ULB ਤਾਂ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਓ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਨਾ ਡਰੀਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: who replied, “Tell your master that this is what the LORD says: ‘Do not be afraid of the words you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.
7 ULB ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਰੂਹ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਅਵਾਈ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land, where I will cause him to fall by the sword.’”
8 ULB ਤਦ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਬਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: When the Rabshakeh heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish, he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah.
9 ULB ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਿਰਹਾਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ, BSB BSB: Now Sennacherib had been warned about Tirhakah king of Cush: “He has set out to fight against you.” On hearing this, Sennacherib sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,
10 ULB ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: “Give this message to Hezekiah king of Judah: ‘Do not let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you by saying that Jerusalem will not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
11 ULB ਵੇਖ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ? BSB BSB: Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the other countries, devoting them to destruction. Will you then be spared?
12 ULB ਕੀ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਗੋਜ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ, ਹਾਰਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਰਸਫ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤਲਾੱਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ? BSB BSB: Did the gods of the nations destroyed by my fathers rescue those nations—the gods of Gozan, Haran, and Rezeph, and of the people of Eden in Telassar?
13 ULB ਹਮਾਥ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ, ਅਰਪਾਦ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਰਵਾਇਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ, ਹੇਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ? BSB BSB: Where are the kings of Hamath, Arpad, Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah?’”
14 ULB ਜਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ BSB BSB: So Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers, read it, and went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.
15 ULB ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, BSB BSB: And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD:
16 ULB ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਰਾਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ। BSB BSB: “O LORD of Hosts, God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.
17 ULB ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ! ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ! ਤੂੰ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਖਵਾ ਘੱਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see. Listen to all the words that Sennacherib has sent to defy the living God.
18 ULB ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ BSB BSB: Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all these countries and their lands.
19 ULB ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਦਸਤਕਾਰੀ, ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: They have cast their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods, but only wood and stone—the work of human hands.
20 ULB ਹੁਣ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੈਂ! BSB BSB: And now, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O LORD, are God.”
21 ULB ਤਦ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਅਖਵਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, BSB BSB: Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Because you have prayed to Me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria,
22 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ,- ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਧੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਖੌਲ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: this is the word that the LORD has spoken against him: ‘The Virgin Daughter of Zion despises you and mocks you; the Daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head behind you.
23 ULB ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਉੱਚੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ? ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ! BSB BSB: Whom have you taunted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!
24 ULB ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਤੱਕ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਦਿਆਰ, ਤੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਰੂ ਵੱਢ ਛੱਡੇ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਟੀਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਫਲਦਾਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜਿਆ। BSB BSB: Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, and you have said: “With my many chariots I have ascended to the heights of the mountains, to the remote peaks of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars, the finest of its cypresses. I have reached its farthest heights, the densest of its forests.
25 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪੁੱਟ-ਪੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। BSB BSB: I have dug wells and drunk foreign waters. With the soles of my feet I have dried up all the streams of Egypt.”
26 ULB ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਠਾਣ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ? ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ-ਪੁਜਾੜ ਕੇ ਖੰਡਰ ਕਰ ਛੱਡੇਂ। BSB BSB: Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it; in days of old I planned it. Now I have brought it to pass, that you should crush fortified cities into piles of rubble.
27 ULB ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਨਿਰਬਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਖੇਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਗ ਪੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ, ਛੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੇ ਘਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅੰਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਜੋ ਉੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ। BSB BSB: Therefore their inhabitants, devoid of power, are dismayed and ashamed. They are like plants in the field, tender green shoots, grass on the rooftops, scorched before it is grown.
28 ULB ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੈਠਣਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਦਰ-ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਣਾ ਜਾਣਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਝਣਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ। BSB BSB: But I know your sitting down, your going out and coming in, and your raging against Me.

30 ULB ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਖਾਓ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਉੱਗੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜੋ, ਵੱਢੋ, ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ ਲਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਓ। BSB BSB: And this will be a sign to you, O Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will sow and reap; you will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
31 ULB ਤਦ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਲਣਗੇ, BSB BSB: And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root below and bear fruit above.
32 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਬਕੀਆ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਣਗੇ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਣਖ ਇਹ ਕਰੇਗੀ। BSB BSB: For a remnant will go forth from Jerusalem, and survivors from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.
33 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,- ਉਹ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਐਥੇ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਢਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: So this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: ‘He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow into it. He will not come before it with a shield or build up a siege ramp against it.
34 ULB ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹ ਉਹ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ! BSB BSB: He will go back the way he came, and he will not enter this city,’ declares the LORD.
35 ULB ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: ‘I will defend this city and save it for My own sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”
36 ULB ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਉਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਪਚਾਸੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਲੋਕ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉੱਥੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਸਨ! BSB BSB: Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 men in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!
37 ULB ਤਦ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੂਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾ ਨੇ ਨੀਨਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ। BSB BSB: So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.
38 ULB ਫੇਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਿਸਰੋਕ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਦਰੰਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਰਾਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਸਰ-ਹੱਦੋਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ। BSB BSB: One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer put him to the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat. And his son Esar-haddon reigned in his place.
