2 ULB ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋ ਕੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਓ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਥਾਣੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਣ ਲਈ ਵੜਦੇ ਹੋ BSB BSB: “Stand in the gate of the house of the LORD and proclaim this message: Hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who enter through these gates to worship the LORD.
3 ULB ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਐਉਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,- ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ BSB BSB: Thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel: Correct your ways and deeds, and I will let you live in this place.
4 ULB ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਝੂਠੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਾ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਹੈ! BSB BSB: Do not trust in deceptive words, saying: ‘This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD.’
5 ULB ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਠੀਕ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੱਕੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰੋ BSB BSB: For if you really correct your ways and deeds, if you act justly toward one another,
6 ULB ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ, ਯਤੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਦੋਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਨਾ ਵਹਾਓ, ਨਾ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਓ BSB BSB: if you no longer oppress the foreigner and the fatherless and the widow, and if you no longer shed innocent blood in this place or follow other gods to your own harm,
7 ULB ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਿਆਂ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਵੱਸਣ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.
8 ULB ਵੇਖੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਝੂਠੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ BSB BSB: But look, you keep trusting in deceptive words to no avail.
9 ULB ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਖੂਨ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਜ਼ਨਾਹ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਝੂਠੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਓਗੇ, ਬਆਲ ਲਈ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਓਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ? BSB BSB: Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal, and follow other gods that you have not known,
10 ULB ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਓਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋਵੋਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਖੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਭਈ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਜਾਓ? BSB BSB: and then come and stand before Me in this house, which bears My Name, and say, ‘We are delivered, so we can continue with all these abominations’?
12 ULB ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਓ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ! BSB BSB: But go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for My Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel.
13 ULB ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ BSB BSB: And now, because you have done all these things, declares the LORD, and because I have spoken to you again and again but you would not listen, and I have called to you but you would not answer,
14 ULB ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਘਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਹ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ BSB BSB: therefore what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears My Name, the house in which you trust, the place that I gave to you and your fathers.
15 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਅੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: And I will cast you out of My presence, just as I have cast out all your brothers, all the descendants of Ephraim.
16 ULB ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ, ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕੀ, ਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ, ਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ BSB BSB: As for you, do not pray for these people, do not offer a plea or petition on their behalf, and do not beg Me, for I will not listen to you.
17 ULB ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ? BSB BSB: Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 ULB ਬੱਚੇ ਲੱਕੜੀਆਂ ਚੁੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਿਉ ਅੱਗ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਆਟਾ ਗੁੰਨ੍ਹਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਭਈ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਲਈ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਪਕਾਉਣ ਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੀਣ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਉਣ! BSB BSB: The sons gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough to make cakes for the Queen of Heaven; they pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke Me to anger.
19 ULB ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ? ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੜਬੜ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ? BSB BSB: But am I the One they are provoking? declares the LORD. Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?
20 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,- ਵੇਖ, ਮੇਰਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ, ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਖੇਤਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਬਲ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਝੇਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ। BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, My anger and My fury will be poured out on this place, on man and beast, on the trees of the field and the produce of the land, and it will burn and not be extinguished.
21 ULB ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,- ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਓ। BSB BSB: This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves!
22 ULB ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ BSB BSB: For when I brought your fathers out of the land of Egypt, I did not merely command them about burnt offerings and sacrifices,
23 ULB ਪਰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੋ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ BSB BSB: but this is what I commanded them: Obey Me, and I will be your God, and you will be My people. You must walk in all the ways I have commanded you, so that it may go well with you.
24 ULB ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਨਾ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਮੱਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਆਕੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਉਹ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਾ ਵਧੇ। BSB BSB: Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but they followed the stubborn inclinations of their own evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.
25 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਏ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਘੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਤ ਘੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ BSB BSB: From the day your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent you all My servants the prophets again and again.
26 ULB ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ, ਨਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਇਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੌਣ ਅਕੜਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧ ਕੇ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ। BSB BSB: Yet they would not listen to Me or incline their ear, but they stiffened their necks and did more evil than their fathers.
27 ULB ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੇਂਗਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਨਗੇ। ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦੇਂਗਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: When you tell them all these things, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer.
28 ULB ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੇਂਗਾ, ਇਹ ਉਹ ਕੌਮ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ। ਸਚਿਆਈ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ। BSB BSB: Therefore you must say to them, ‘This is the nation that would not listen to the voice of the LORD their God and would not receive correction. Truth has perished; it has disappeared from their lips.
29 ULB ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਜ਼ੀਰ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਲ ਮੁਨਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਛੱਡ, ਨੰਗਿਆਂ ਟਿੱਬਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੈਣ ਚੁੱਕ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਜ਼ਬ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Cut off your hair and throw it away. Raise up a lamentation on the barren heights, for the LORD has rejected and forsaken the generation of His wrath.’
32 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਤੋਫਥ ਨਾ ਅਖਵਾਏਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਬਨ-ਹਿੰਨੋਮ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ, ਸਗੋਂ "ਕਤਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ", ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੋਫਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: So behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when this place will no longer be called Topheth and the Valley of Ben-hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter. For they will bury the dead in Topheth until there is no more room.
33 ULB ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਿੰਦੇ ਖਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਡਰਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: The corpses of this people will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and there will be no one to scare them away.
34 ULB ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਅਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼, ਲਾੜੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਲਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ ਉਜਾੜ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: I will remove from the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem the sounds of joy and gladness and the voices of the bride and bridegroom, for the land will become a wasteland.”
