2 ULB "ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਪਲਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਨਾਲੇ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੌੜਾ ਕੀਤਾ! BSB BSB: “As surely as God lives, who has deprived me of justice—the Almighty, who has embittered my soul—
3 ULB ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, BSB BSB: as long as my breath is still within me and the breath of God remains in my nostrils,
4 ULB ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਬਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਝੂਠ ਨਾ ਬੋਲੇਗੀ! BSB BSB: my lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will not utter deceit.
5 ULB ਇਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਖਰਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: I will never say that you are right; I will maintain my integrity until I die.
6 ULB ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਮ ਤਕੜਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਫੜ੍ਹਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਮਰ ਭਰ ਉਲਾਹਮਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: I will cling to my righteousness and never let go. As long as I live, my conscience will not accuse me.
7 ULB ਮੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਰ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਵੇ। BSB BSB: May my enemy be like the wicked and my opponent like the unjust.
8 ULB ਭਗਤੀਹੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੈ ਲਵੇ? BSB BSB: For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
9 ULB ਜਦ ਦੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ? BSB BSB: Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?
10 ULB ਕੀ ਉਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰੇਗਾ? BSB BSB: Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?
11 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਲੁਕਾਵਾਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: I will instruct you in the power of God. I will not conceal the ways of the Almighty.
12 ULB ਵੇਖੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਫਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਿਕੰਮੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? BSB BSB: Surely all of you have seen it for yourselves. Why then do you keep up this empty talk?
13 ULB ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰਸਾ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਇਹੋ ਹੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: This is the wicked man’s portion from God—the heritage the ruthless receive from the Almighty.

18 ULB ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਮੱਕੜੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਝੌਂਪੜੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: The house he built is like a moth’s cocoon, like a hut set up by a watchman.
19 ULB ਉਹ ਧਨੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੰਮਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, BSB BSB: He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more; when he opens his eyes, all is gone.
20 ULB ਭੈ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Terrors overtake him like a flood; a tempest sweeps him away in the night.
21 ULB ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਵਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੂੰਝ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.
22 ULB ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਰਸ ਖਾਧੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਨੱਠੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: It hurls itself against him without mercy as he flees headlong from its power.
23 ULB ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਾੜੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਫੁੰਕਾਰਨਗੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: It claps its hands at him and hisses him out of his place.
