8 ULB ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅੱਖ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖੇਗੀ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: The eye that beholds me will no longer see me. You will look for me, but I will be no more.
9 ULB ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬੱਦਲ ਫੱਟ ਕੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। BSB BSB: As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so he who goes down to Sheol does not come back up.
10 ULB ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੜਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: He never returns to his house; his place remembers him no more.

12 ULB ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹਾਂ, ਜਾਂ ਜਲ ਜੰਤੂ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਬਿਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ? BSB BSB: Am I the sea, or the monster of the deep, that You must keep me under guard?
13 ULB ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੰਜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਛੌਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਹਲਕਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, BSB BSB: When I think my bed will comfort me and my couch will ease my complaint,
14 ULB ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਫ਼ਨਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਬਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਡਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। BSB BSB: then You frighten me with dreams and terrify me with visions,

16 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤੁੱਛ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਨਾ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਹ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਨ! BSB BSB: I loathe my life! I would not live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath.
17 ULB ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਵੇਂ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਿਲ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਵੇਂ? BSB BSB: What is man that You should exalt him, that You should set Your heart upon him,
18 ULB ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਵੇਂ, ਅਤੇ ਪਲ-ਪਲ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਚੇਂ? BSB BSB: that You attend to him every morning, and test him every moment?
19 ULB ਤੂੰ ਕਦ ਤੱਕ ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਣੋਂ ਨਾ ਹਟੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛੱਡੇਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਥੁੱਕ ਨਿਗਲ ਲਵਾਂ? BSB BSB: Will You never look away from me, or leave me alone to swallow my spittle?
20 ULB ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ, ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਵਿਗਾੜਿਆ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਲਈ ਬੋਝ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ? BSB BSB: If I have sinned, what have I done to You, O watcher of mankind? Why have You made me Your target, so that I am a burden to You?
21 ULB ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਿਉਂ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ? ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ, ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਢੂੰਡੇਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ!" BSB BSB: Why do You not pardon my transgression and take away my iniquity? For soon I will lie down in the dust; You will seek me, but I will be no more.”
