7 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਰੋਕੋ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਲਈ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉ। BSB BSB: “Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “She has kept this perfume in preparation for the day of My burial.
8 ULB ਕੰਗਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।” BSB BSB: The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.”
9 ULB ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੈਤਅਨਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਆਏ। ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
10 ULB ਤਦ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਚ ਬਣਾਈ। BSB BSB: So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,
11 ULB ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਸਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: for on account of him many of the Jews were deserting them and believing in Jesus.
12 ULB ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: The next day the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.
13 ULB ਉਹ ਖਜ਼ੂਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ; “ਹੋਸੰਨਾ! ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਵੇ!” BSB BSB: They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the King of Israel!”
14 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਧੀ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ BSB BSB: Finding a young donkey, Jesus sat on it, as it is written:
15 ULB “ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਟੀ ਨਾ ਡਰ! ਵੇਖ, ਤੇਰਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਗਧੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।” BSB BSB: “Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion. See, your King is coming, seated on the colt of a donkey.”
16 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਸਮਝ ਸਕੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: At first His disciples did not understand these things, but after Jesus was glorified they remembered what had been done to Him, and they realized that these very things had also been written about Him.
17 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਬਰ ਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਆ। ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ, ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: Meanwhile, many people who had been with Jesus when He called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.
18 ULB ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਇਸ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: That is also why the crowd went out to meet Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.
19 ULB ਫ਼ਿਰ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਦੇਖੋ! ਸਾਡੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।” BSB BSB: Then the Pharisees said to one another, “You can see that this is doing you no good. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”
20 ULB ਉੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਝ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਸਨ। BSB BSB: Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.
21 ULB ਇਹ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਜੋ ਗਲੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤਸੈਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।” BSB BSB: They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
22 ULB ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ। BSB BSB: Philip relayed this appeal to Andrew, and both of them went and told Jesus.
23 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24 ULB ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਣਕ ਦਾ ਦਾਣਾ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਰ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਮਰੇ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਦਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
26 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਗਰ ਚੱਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਿਤਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।” BSB BSB: If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
27 ULB ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਘਬਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਆਖਾਂ, “ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦੀ ਘੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ?” ਨਹੀਂ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। BSB BSB: Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.
28 ULB ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੇ! ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਆਈ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।” BSB BSB: Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”
29 ULB ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਬੱਦਲ ਗਰਜਿਆ ਹੈ।” ਪਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।” BSB BSB: The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to Him.
30 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਲਈ ਆਈ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: In response, Jesus said, “This voice was not for My benefit, but yours.
31 ULB ਹੁਣ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: Now judgment is upon this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out.
32 ULB ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਉਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਾਂਗਾ।” BSB BSB: And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.”
33 ULB ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ, ਯਿਸੂ ਦੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਮਰੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: He said this to indicate the kind of death He was going to die.
34 ULB ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਡੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਤਾਂ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਸਦਾ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?” BSB BSB: The crowd replied, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever. So how can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”
35 ULB ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ “ਚਾਨਣ ਕੁੱਝ ਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰੋ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus told them, “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਚਾਨਣ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੋਂ।” ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਜਗਾ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਸਕੇ। BSB BSB: While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” After Jesus had spoken these things, He went away and was hidden from them.
37 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਪਰ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। BSB BSB: Although Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still did not believe in Him.
38 ULB ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਨਬੀ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ: “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖੀ?” BSB BSB: This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39 ULB ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਫਿਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, BSB BSB: For this reason they were unable to believe. For again, Isaiah says:
40 ULB “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਕਠੋਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਣ, ਨਾ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਆਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ।” BSB BSB: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.”
41 ULB ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵੇਖੀ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: Isaiah said these things because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about Him.
42 ULB ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁੱਲਕੇ ਨਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਡਰ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: Nevertheless, many of the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue.
43 ULB ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ। BSB BSB: For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
44 ULB ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in Me does not believe in Me alone, but in the One who sent Me.
45 ULB ਜੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: And whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me.
46 ULB ਮੈਂ ਚਾਨਣ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ, ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ। BSB BSB: I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.
47 ULB ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਿਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਂਦਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। BSB BSB: As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 ULB ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੰਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ। ਇਹੀ ਬਚਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਏਗਾ। BSB BSB: There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
49 ULB ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਸਿਖਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। BSB BSB: I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.
50 ULB ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।” BSB BSB: And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak exactly what the Father has told Me to say.”
