1 ULB ਫਿਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਹਟਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਗਲੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਪਾਰ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ। BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished saying these things, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

5 ULB ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
6 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਹਨ। ਸੋ ਜੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ। BSB BSB: So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
7 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਫੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਗ ਪੱਤਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ? BSB BSB: “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses order a man to give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
9 ULB ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਹਰਾਮਕਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰੇ ਉਹ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Now I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
11 ULB ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: “Not everyone can accept this word,” He replied, “but only those to whom it has been given.
13 ULB ਤਦ ਲੋਕ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਪਰ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕਿਆ। BSB BSB: Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 ULB ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਾ ਆਖੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਰੋਕੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਵਰਗ ਰਾਜ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
15 ULB ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। BSB BSB: And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.
16 ULB ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਭਲਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲੇ? BSB BSB: Just then a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?”
17 ULB ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਭਲਾ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ। BSB BSB: “Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
18 ULB ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿਹੜੇ ਹੁਕਮ? ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਖ਼ੂਨ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਚੋਰੀ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਝੂਠੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨਾ ਦੇ। BSB BSB: “Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,
19 ULB ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰ। BSB BSB: honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 ULB ਉਸ ਜਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੈ? BSB BSB: “All these I have kept,” said the young man. “What do I still lack?”
21 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਵੇਚ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋ ਤੁਰ। BSB BSB: Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
22 ULB ਪਰ ਉਸ ਜਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਸੀ। BSB BSB: When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.
23 ULB ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 ULB ਫੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਊਠ ਦਾ ਸੂਈ ਦੇ ਨੱਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਸੁਖਾਲਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 ULB ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੇ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਕੌਣ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? BSB BSB: When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
26 ULB ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਅਣਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਭੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 ULB ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਵੇਖ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਭੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ ਹਾਂ, ਫੇਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ? BSB BSB: “Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”
28 ULB ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੇਗਾ ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੋਗੇ। BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 ULB ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ, ਭੈਣਾਂ, ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ, ਬਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੌ ਗੁਣਾ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਰਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for the sake of My name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.
30 ULB ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹਨ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
