6 ULB ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ! ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫਲ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਬੋਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। BSB BSB: And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.

9 ULB ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਹੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ, BSB BSB: So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10 ULB ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਜ ਆਵੇ, ਤੇਰੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ। BSB BSB: Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 ULB ਸਾਡੀ ਰੋਜ਼ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਅੱਜ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ, BSB BSB: Give us this day our daily bread.
12 ULB ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਗਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, BSB BSB: And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

18 ULB ਤੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਹੈ ਵਰਤੀ ਮਲੂਮ ਹੋਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫਲ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

22 ULB ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਅੱਖ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਅੱਖ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 ULB ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਅੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਸੋ ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੀ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 ULB ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੋ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ। BSB BSB: No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. 27 ULB ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਇੱਕ ਪਲ ਵਧਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? BSB BSB: Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 ULB ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਜੰਗਲੀ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵੱਧਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਨਾ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਨਾ ਕੱਤਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.

30 ULB ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਘਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅੱਜ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੋਕਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਹਿਨਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਵਾਲਿਓ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਾ ਪਹਿਨਾਵੇਗਾ? BSB BSB: If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
32 ULB ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 ULB ਪਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰੋ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। BSB BSB: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੱਲ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਆਪੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਬਥੇਰਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
