3 ULB ਧੜੇਬਾਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਥਵਾ ਫੋਕੇ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਏ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਜਾਣੋ। BSB BSB: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.
4 ULB ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਹਾਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰੇ। BSB BSB: Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
6 ULB ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਿਆ। BSB BSB: Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 ULB ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਖਣਾ (ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਸੀ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ) ਕਰਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਮਿਆ। BSB BSB: but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness.

13 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਸ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਕ ਇਰਾਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
14 ULB ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਭੇ ਕੰਮ ਬੁੜ-ਬੁੜ ਅਤੇ ਝਗੜੇ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰੋ। BSB BSB: Do everything without complaining or arguing,
15 ULB ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਸਾਧੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵਿੰਗੀ ਟੇਢੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਾਲਕ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੋ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੋਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਹੋ, BSB BSB: so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world
16 ULB ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅਭਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਦੌੜ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ। BSB BSB: as you hold forth the word of life, in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
17 ULB ਪਰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੇ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਲਹੂ ਵੀ ਵਹਾਉਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਹਾਂ। BSB BSB: But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

21 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਤਲਬ ਦੇ ਯਾਰ ਹਨ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ। BSB BSB: For all the others look after their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.
22 ULB ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਖੂਬੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋ ਭਈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਿਉ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ। BSB BSB: But you know Timothy’s proven worth, that as a child with his father he has served with me to advance the gospel.
23 ULB ਸੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਵਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਝੱਟ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿਆਂ। BSB BSB: So I hope to send him as soon as I see what happens with me.
24 ULB ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ। BSB BSB: And I trust in the Lord that I myself will come soon.
25 ULB ਪਰ ਇਪਾਫ਼ਰੋਦੀਤੁਸ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਹਿਕਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਾ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੰਦੇਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਥੁੜ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਘੱਲਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਿਆ। BSB BSB: But I thought it necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my needs.

27 ULB ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਸੱਚੀ ਮੁੱਚੀ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਮਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਸੋਗ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। BSB BSB: He was sick indeed, nearly unto death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow.
28 ULB ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਭਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੀ ਸੋਗ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਵੇ। BSB BSB: Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I may be less anxious.
