9 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਨ ਫੇਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਵੀ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੀ ਠਹਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable.
10 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਚਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਖਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਮਿਰਾਸ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: He who leads the upright along the path of evil will fall into his own pit, but the blameless will inherit what is good.

12 ULB ਜਦੋਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਜਿੱਤਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਾਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕੋ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: When the righteous triumph, there is great glory, but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
13 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕੋ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.
14 ULB ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੈ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਠੋਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ BSB BSB: Blessed is the man who is always reverent, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.
15 ULB ਗਰੀਬ ਪਰਜਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਹਾਕਮ ਗੱਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ, ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਰਿੱਛ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a helpless people.

18 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨੇਕ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਪੁੱਠੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: He who walks with integrity will be kept safe, but whoever is perverse in his ways will suddenly fall.
19 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਰੋਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਜੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨਿਕੰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗਰੀਬੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਜੇਗਾ, BSB BSB: The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
20 ULB ਸੱਚੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਹਲੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: A faithful man will abound with blessings, but one eager to be rich will not go unpunished.

25 ULB ਲੋਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਝਗੜਾ ਛੇੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਰਿਸ਼ਟ-ਪੁਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: A greedy man stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper.
26 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। BSB BSB: He who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.
27 ULB ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੰਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਥੁੜ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਮੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਾਹਲੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਪੈਣਗੇ। BSB BSB: Whoever gives to the poor will not be in need, but he who hides his eyes will receive many curses.
28 ULB ਜਦ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਲੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਓਹ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: When the wicked come to power, people hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous flourish.
