2 ULB ਢਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਉੱਠ! BSB BSB: Take up Your shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.

4 ULB ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਹਨ ਓਹ ਲੱਜਿਆਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਜਲ ਹੋਣ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਲਝ ਜਾਣ! BSB BSB: May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plan to harm me be driven back and confounded.
5 ULB ਉਹ ਪੌਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਡਦੀ ਤੂੜੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਣ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੱਕਾ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਜਾਏ। BSB BSB: May they be like chaff in the wind, as the angel of the LORD drives them away.

8 ULB ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਆ ਪਵੇ! ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਾਲ਼ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛਿਪਾਇਆ ਉਹੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਸਾ ਲਵੇ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ! BSB BSB: May ruin befall them by surprise; may the net they hid ensnare them; may they fall into the hazard they created.
9 ULB ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਗ-ਬਾਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। BSB BSB: Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and exult in His salvation.
10 ULB ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਆਖਣਗੀਆਂ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲੋ ਤਕੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਾਂ, ਮਸਕੀਨ ਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਟੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ। BSB BSB: All my bones will exclaim, “Who is like You, O LORD, who delivers the afflicted from the aggressor, the poor and needy from the robber?”
11 ULB ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਗਵਾਹ ਉੱਠ ਖੜੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮੈਥੋ ਓਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪੁਛਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ। BSB BSB: Hostile witnesses come forward; they make charges I know nothing about.
12 ULB ਨੇਕੀ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਦੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਬੈਚੇਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: They repay me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.
13 ULB ਪਰ ਮੈਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਓਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸਨ, ਮੇਰਾ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਤੱਪੜ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਪਿਆ। BSB BSB: Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting, but my prayers returned unanswered.

15 ULB ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੰਗੜਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਮਾਰ ਕੁੱਟਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਿਆ। ਓਹ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਟੇ ਨਹੀਂ। BSB BSB: But when I stumbled, they assembled in glee; they gathered together against me. Assailants I did not know slandered me without ceasing.

17 ULB ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੂੰ ਕਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ? ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਤੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾ! BSB BSB: How long, O Lord, will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my precious life from these lions.

19 ULB ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੇਵਜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅੱਖ ਮਟਕਾਉਣ ਨਾ ਦੇ, BSB BSB: Let not my enemies gloat over me without cause, nor those who hate me without reason wink in malice.
20 ULB ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਵਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉਹ ਛਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। BSB BSB: For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful schemes against those who live quietly in the land.
21 ULB ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵਾਹ, ਵਾਹ! ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ! BSB BSB: They gape at me and say, “Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen!”
22 ULB ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ! ਚੁੱਪ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ! BSB BSB: O LORD, You have seen it; be not silent. O Lord, be not far from me.
23 ULB ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਉੱਠ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੁਕਦਮੇ ਲਈ ਜਾਗ। BSB BSB: Awake and rise to my defense, to my cause, my God and my Lord!
24 ULB ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ,ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ,ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ! BSB BSB: Vindicate me by Your righteousness, O LORD my God, and do not let them gloat over me.
25 ULB ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਕਹਿਣ, ਭਈ ਵਾਹ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹੋ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ! ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਆਖਣ ਭਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਲ ਲਿਆ! BSB BSB: Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, just what we wanted!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up!”
26 ULB ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਲਝ ਜਾਣ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਾਦਰ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਹਿਨਣ। BSB BSB: May those who gloat in my distress be ashamed and confounded; may those who exalt themselves over me be clothed in shame and reproach.
27 ULB ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹਨ ਓਹ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਖਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹੈ। BSB BSB: May those who favor my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “Exalted be the LORD who delights in His servant’s well-being.”
28 ULB ਤਦ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤੇਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ, ਦਿਨ ਭਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। BSB BSB: Then my tongue will proclaim Your righteousness and Your praises all day long.
