9 ULB ਜਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਵੇਖਿਆ। BSB BSB: where your fathers tested and tried Me, though they had seen My work.
10 ULB ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਤੋਂ ਘਿਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਏਹ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰਤੂ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ, BSB BSB: For forty years I was angry with that generation, and I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known My ways.”
11 ULB ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ, ਕਿ ਏਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵੜਨਗੇ। BSB BSB: So I swore on oath in My anger, “They shall never enter My rest.”
