1و خداوند موسی را گفت: «نزد فرعون برو، و به وی بگو خداوند چنین میگوید: قوم مرا رها کن تا مرا عبادت نمایند،Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him that this is what the LORD says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.

2و اگر تو از رهاکردن ایشان ابا میکنی، همانا من تمامی حدود تورا به وزغها مبتلا سازم.But if you refuse to let them go, I will plague your whole country with frogs.

3و نهر، وزغها را به کثرت پیدا نماید، به حدی که برآمده، به خانه ات وخوابگاهت و بسترت و خانه های بندگانت و برقومت و به تنورهایت و تغارهای خمیرت، درخواهند آمد،The Nile will teem with frogs, and they will come into your palace and up to your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and your people, and into your ovens and kneading bowls.

4و بر تو و قوم تو و همه بندگان تو وزغها برخواهند آمد.»The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”

5و خداوند به موسی گفت: «به هارون بگو: دست خود را با عصای خویش بر نهرها و جویها و دریاچهها دراز کن، ووزغها را بر زمین مصر برآور.»And the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers and canals and ponds, and cause the frogs to come up onto the land of Egypt.’”

6پس چون هارون دست خود را بر آبهای مصر دراز کرد، وزغها برآمده، زمین مصر راپوشانیدند.So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

7و جادوگران به افسونهای خودچنین کردند، و وزغها بر زمین مصر برآوردند.But the magicians did the same thing by their magic arts, and they also brought frogs up onto the land of Egypt.

8آنگاه فرعون موسی و هارون را خوانده، گفت: «نزد خداوند دعا کنید، تا وزغها را از من و قوم من دور کند، و قوم را رها خواهم کرد تا برای خداوندقربانی گذرانند.»Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the LORD to take the frogs away from me and my people. Then I will let your people go, that they may sacrifice to the LORD.”

9موسی به فرعون گفت: «وقتی را برای من معین فرما که برای تو و بندگانت وقومت دعا کنم تا وزغها از تو و خانه ات نابودشوند و فقط در نهر بمانند.»Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me. When shall I pray for you and your officials and your people that the frogs (except for those in the Nile) may be taken away from you and your houses?”

10گفت: «فردا»، موسی گفت: «موافق سخن تو خواهد شد تا بدانی که مثل یهوه خدای ما دیگری نیست،“Tomorrow,” Pharaoh answered. “May it be as you say,” Moses replied, “so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.

11و وزغهااز تو و خانه ات و بندگانت و قومت دور خواهندشد و فقط در نهر باقی خواهند ماند.»The frogs will depart from you and your houses and your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.”

12و موسی و هارون از نزد فرعون بیرون آمدند و موسی درباره وزغهایی که بر فرعون فرستاده بود، نزدخداوند استغاثه نمود.After Moses and Aaron had left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the LORD for help with the frogs that He had brought against Pharaoh.

13و خداوند موافق سخن موسی عمل نمود و وزغها از خانهها و از دهات واز صحراها مردند،And the LORD did as Moses requested, and the frogs in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields died.

14و آنها را توده توده جمع کردند و زمین متعفن شد.They were piled into countless heaps, and there was a terrible stench in the land.

15اما فرعون چون دیدکه آسایش پدید آمد، دل خود را سخت کرد وبدیشان گوش نگرفت، چنانکه خداوند گفته بود.When Pharaoh saw that there was relief, however, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.

16و خداوند به موسی گفت: «به هارون بگو که عصای خود را دراز کن و غبار زمین را بزن تا درتمامی زمین مصر پشهها بشود.»Then the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the earth, that it may turn into swarms of gnats throughout the land of Egypt.’”

17پس چنین کردند و هارون دست خود را با عصای خویش دراز کرد و غبار زمین را زد و پشهها بر انسان وبهایم پدید آمد زیرا که تمامی غبار زمین در کل ارض مصر پشهها گردید،This they did, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff and struck the dust of the earth, gnats came upon man and beast. All the dust of the earth turned into gnats throughout the land of Egypt.

18و جادوگران به افسونهای خود چنین کردند تا پشهها بیرون آورند اما نتوانستند و پشهها بر انسان و بهایم پدیدشد.The magicians tried to produce gnats using their magic arts, but they could not. And the gnats remained on man and beast.

19و جادوگران به فرعون گفتند: «این انگشت خداست.» اما فرعون را دل سخت شد که بدیشان گوش نگرفت، چنانکه خداوند گفته بود.“This is the finger of God,” the magicians said to Pharaoh. But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

20و خداوند به موسی گفت: «بامدادان برخاسته پیش روی فرعون بایست. اینک بسوی آب بیرون میآید. و او را بگو: خداوند چنین میگوید: قوم مرا رها کن تا مرا عبادت نمایند،Then the LORD said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning, and when Pharaoh goes out to the water, stand before him and tell him that this is what the LORD says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.

21زیرا اگر قوم مرا رها نکنی، همانا من بر تو وبندگانت و قومت و خانه هایت انواع مگسهافرستم و خانه های مصریان و زمینی نیز که برآننداز انواع مگسها پر خواهد شد.But if you will not let My people go, I will send swarms of flies upon you and your officials and your people and your houses. The houses of the Egyptians and even the ground where they stand will be full of flies.

22و در آن روززمین جوشن را که قوم من در آن مقیمند، جداسازم که در آنجا مگسی نباشد تا بدانی که من درمیان این زمین یهوه هستم.But on that day I will give special treatment to the land of Goshen, where My people live; no swarms of flies will be found there. In this way you will know that I, the LORD, am in the land.

23و فرقی در میان قوم خود و قوم تو گذارم. فردا این علامت خواهدشد.»I will make a distinction between My people and your people. This sign will take place tomorrow.’”

24و خداوند چنین کرد و انواع مگسهای بسیار به خانه فرعون و به خانه های بندگانش و به تمامی زمین مصر آمدند و زمین از مگسها ویران شد.And the LORD did so. Thick swarms of flies poured into Pharaoh’s palace and into the houses of his officials. Throughout Egypt the land was ruined by swarms of flies.

25و فرعون موسی و هارون را خوانده گفت: «بروید و برای خدای خود قربانی در این زمین بگذرانید.»Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God within this land.”

26موسی گفت: «چنین کردن نشایدزیرا آنچه مکروه مصریان است برای یهوه خدای خود ذبح میکنیم. اینک چون مکروه مصریان را پیش روی ایشان ذبح نماییم، آیاما را سنگسار نمی کنند؟But Moses replied, “It would not be right to do that, because the sacrifices we offer to the LORD our God would be detestable to the Egyptians. If we offer sacrifices that are detestable before the Egyptians, will they not stone us?

27سفر سه روزه به صحرا برویم و برای یهوه خدای خود قربانی بگذرانیم چنانکه به ما امر خواهد فرمود.»We must make a three-day journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God as He commands us.”

28فرعون گفت: «من شما را رهایی خواهم داد تا برای یهوه، خدای خود، در صحرا قربانی گذرانید لیکن بسیار دور مروید و برای من دعاکنید.»Pharaoh answered, “I will let you go and sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me.”

29موسی گفت: «همانا من از حضورت بیرون میروم و نزد خداوند دعا میکنم و مگسهااز فرعون و بندگانش و قومش فردا دور خواهندشد اما زنهار فرعون بار دیگر حیله نکند که قوم رارهایی ندهد تا برای خداوند قربانی گذرانند.»“As soon as I leave you,” Moses said, “I will pray to the LORD, so that tomorrow the swarms of flies will depart from Pharaoh and his officials and his people. But Pharaoh must not act deceitfully again by refusing to let the people go and sacrifice to the LORD.”

30پس موسی از حضور فرعون بیرون شده نزدخداوند دعا کرد،Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD,

31و خداوند موافق سخن موسی عمل کرد و مگسها را از فرعون و بندگانش و قومش دور کرد که یکی باقی نماند.and the LORD did as Moses requested. He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh and his officials and his people; not one fly remained.

32اما در این مرتبه نیز فرعون دل خود را سخت ساخته، قوم رارهایی نداد.But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time as well, and he would not let the people go.
