1و شاگردان خود را گفت: «لابد است ازوقوع لغزشها، لیکن وای بر آن کسیکه باعث آنها شود.Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come!

2او را بهتر میبود که سنگ آسیایی بر گردنش آویخته شود و در دریا افکنده شود از اینکه یکی از این کودکان را لغزش دهد.It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

3احتراز کنید و اگر برادرت به تو خطا ورزد او راتنبیه کن و اگر توبه کند او را ببخش.Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

4و هرگاه درروزی هفت کرت به تو گناه کند و در روزی هفت مرتبه، برگشته به تو گوید توبه میکنم، او راببخش.»Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to say, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

5آنگاه رسولان به خداوند گفتند: «ایمان ما رازیاد کن.»The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

6خداوند گفت: «اگر ایمان به قدر دانه خردلی میداشتید، به این درخت افراغ میگفتیدکه کنده شده در دریا نشانده شود اطاعت شمامی کرد.And the Lord answered, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

7«اما کیست از شماکه غلامش به شخم کردن یا شبانی مشغول شود و وقتی که از صحرا آید به وی گوید، بزودی بیا و بنشین.Which of you whose servant comes in from plowing or shepherding in the field will say to him, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’?

8بلکه آیا بدونمی گوید چیزی درست کن تا شام بخورم و کمرخود را بسته مرا خدمت کن تا بخورم و بنوشم وبعد از آن تو بخور و بیاشام؟Instead, won’t he tell him, ‘Prepare my meal and dress yourself to serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you may eat and drink’?

9آیا از آن غلام منت میکشد از آنکه حکمهای او را بهجا آورد؟ گمان ندارم.Does he thank the servant because he did what he was told?

10همچنین شما نیز چون به هر چیزی که مامور شدهاید عمل کردید، گویید که غلامان بیمنفعت هستیم زیرا که آنچه بر ما واجب بود بهجا آوردیم.»So you also, when you have done everything commanded of you, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”

11و هنگامی که سفر به سوی اورشلیم میکرداز میانه سامره و جلیل میرفت.While Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.

12و چون به قریهای داخل میشد ناگاه ده شخص ابرص به استقبال او آمدند و از دور ایستاده،As He entered one of the villages, He was met by ten lepers. They stood at a distance

13به آواز بلندگفتند: «ای عیسی خداوند بر ما ترحم فرما.»and raised their voices, shouting, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

14اوبه ایشان نظر کرده گفت: «بروید و خود را به کاهن بنمایید.» ایشان چون میرفتند، طاهر گشتند.When Jesus saw them, He said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they were on their way, they were cleansed.

15و یکی از ایشان چون دید که شفا یافته است، برگشته به صدای بلند خدا را تمجید میکرد.When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice.

16وپیش قدم او به روی درافتاده وی را شکر کرد. و اواز اهل سامره بود.He fell facedown at Jesus’ feet in thanksgiving to Him—and he was a Samaritan.

17عیسی ملتفت شده گفت «آیا ده نفر طاهر نشدند، پس آن نه کجا شدند؟“Were not all ten cleansed?” Jesus asked. “Where then are the other nine?

18آیا هیچکس یافت نمی شود که برگشته خدا راتمجید کند جز این غریب؟»Was no one found except this foreigner to return and give glory to God?”

19و بدو گفت: «برخاسته برو که ایمانت تو را نجات داده است.»Then Jesus said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well!”

20و چون فریسیان از او پرسیدند که ملکوت خدا کی میآید، او در جواب ایشان گفت: «ملکوت خدا با مراقبت نمی آید.When asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God will not come with observable signs.

21و نخواهندگفت که در فلان یا فلان جاست. زیرا اینک ملکوت خدا در میان شما است.»Nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is,’ or ‘There it is.’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

22و به شاگردان خود گفت: «ایامی میآید که آرزو خواهید داشت که روزی از روزهای پسر انسان را بینید ونخواهید دید.Then He said to the disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

23و به شما خواهند گفت، اینک در فلان یا فلان جاست، مروید و تعاقب آن مکنید.People will tell you, ‘Look, there He is!’ or ‘Look, here He is!’ Do not go out or chase after them.

24زیرا چون برق که از یک جانب زیرآسمان لامع شده تا جانب دیگر زیر آسمان درخشان میشود، پسر انسان در یوم خودهمچنین خواهد بود.For just as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so will be the Son of Man in His day.

25لیکن اول لازم است که اوزحمات بسیار بیند و از این فرقه مطرود شود.But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

26و چنانکه در ایام نوح واقع شد، همانطوردر زمان پسر انسان نیز خواهد بود،Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man:

27که میخوردند و مینوشیدند و زن و شوهرمی گرفتند تا روزی که چون نوح داخل کشتی شد، طوفان آمده همه را هلاک ساخت.People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

28وهمچنانکه در ایام لوط شد که به خوردن وآشامیدن و خرید و فروش و زراعت و عمارت مشغول میبودند،It was the same in the days of Lot: People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.

29تا روزی که چون لوط ازسدوم بیرون آمد، آتش و گوگرد از آسمان باریدو همه را هلاک ساخت.But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

30بر همین منوال خواهدبود در روزی که پسر انسان ظاهر شود.It will be just like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

31در آن روز هرکه بر پشت بام باشد و اسباب او در خانه نزول نکند تا آنها را بردارد و کسیکه در صحراباشد همچنین برنگردد.On that day, let no one on the housetop come down to retrieve his possessions. Likewise, let no one in the field return for anything he has left behind.

32زن لوط را بیاد آورید.Remember Lot’s wife!

33هرکه خواهد جان خود را برهاند آن را هلاک خواهد کرد و هرکه آن را هلاک کند آن را زنده نگاه خواهد داشت.Whoever tries to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.

34به شما میگویم در آن شب دو نفر بر یک تخت خواهند بود، یکی برداشته و دیگری واگذارده خواهد شد.I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed: one will be taken and the other left.

35و دوزن که در یک جا دستاس کنند، یکی برداشته ودیگری واگذارده خواهد شد.Two women will be grinding grain together: one will be taken and the other left.”

36و دونفر که درمزرعه باشند، یکی برداشته و دیگری واگذارده خواهد شد.»Not in the BSB

37در جواب وی گفتند: «کجاای خداوند.» گفت: «در هر جایی که لاش باشد درآنجا کرکسان جمع خواهند شد.»“Where, Lord?” they asked. Jesus answered, “Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”
