Ti ni'e muntu kan mǝn mir mǝn kartǝn gǝs kum ti nan tǝ kulci mi gwa! Mǝ shin ti na ger gǝmi! Mǝn na gam gǝmi mǝ wi ti gere kan mǝ ne am den ti! Ti ni mǝ pi wazu gǝs den bi shirǝm kǝ ge mbatli.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2PLJYam gode mbarǝm muntu kan ba bi mbarǝm ge mbatl gwa. Mǝ shin ti. Mǝ yari in ni na ho bi den'e mbarǝm tu kan ba bi ge mbatl tu kan ba pa dagwa nǝra na Bǝbayi, kan tǝ cwat kar mi.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3PLJMbarǝm mǝn bi ge mbatl tu mǝ shin kan mǝ kum ti gwani mǝ yari ine, kǝ dǝ kǝn ma kǝ mo ni gam nan mi. Me gam gǝmi ngap na Ban ni ar ra na Nya gǝs Yesu Almasihu.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4PLJMǝ rǝshi in ni den bar ju kǝ dǝ ghol mbatl gǝmi laa'i ra.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5PLJShirǝm tu kan mǝ kum kar ti gwa ni mǝ yari in'e, Yamo cirtǝn ni, ko njem dǝmǝn ra gip ti da'a.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6PLJMǝn ni mǝ wule mǝn ra gip me gam nan ti ofa mǝn den dǝmi gip dǝmǝno, lar ni mǝ ceni, ge shirǝm kǝ Yam ra gip mi da'a.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7PLJMǝn ni ngap mǝ dǝm gip cirtǝn kandatu tǝra gip cirtǝno, mǝ mo gam na ɓyar ituwi, kan bǝran kǝ nya gǝs Yesu ho mika bi dǝ warwat pitǝn gǝmi wi.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8PLJMǝn ni mǝ wule mǝn ra na warwat pitǝn dawo, mǝ se gam gǝmi wi, ngapo ge shirǝmi ra gip mi da'a.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9PLJAma mǝnni mǝ yari Yam warwat pitǝn gǝmiwo, tǝ mǝn pi argon tu kan tǝ wule ti pi kan tǝ pi dlat ni. Ti'i nǝm mi den warwat pitǝn gǝmi da'a kan tǝ ho mi ka bi dǝ mǝgǝn pitǝn gǝmi kup.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10PLJMǝnni mǝ pǝn'e mǝ pi warwat pitǝn dawo, mǝ pali ti mǝn ceni lar ituwi kan shirǝm gǝs ngap ra gip mi da'a.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
