1. 1PORONBVCristo já existia quando o mundo começou, entretanto eu mesmo o vi com os meus próprios olhos e o ouvi falar. Eu toquei nele com as minhas próprias mãos — e isso proclamo a respeito da Palavra da vida, enviada por Deus.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.

7. 7PORONBVMas, se estivermos vivendo na luz como ele está na luz, então temos uma comunhão maravilhosa uns com os outros, e o sangue de Jesus, seu Filho, nos purifica de todo pecado.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8PORONBVSe dissermos que não temos pecado, só estamos nos enganando a nós mesmos e recusando aceitar a verdade.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9PORONBVMas, se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para perdoar os nossos pecados e nos limpar de toda maldade.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10PORONBVSe alegarmos que não pecamos, estamos mentindo e chamando Deus de mentiroso, e a sua palavra não está em nós.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
