1Os descendentes de Noé são os seguintes: Sem, Cam e Jafé. Eles tiveram filhos depois do dilúvio.This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood.

2Os filhos de Jafé foram: Gômer, Magogue, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Meseque e Tirás.The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3Os filhos de Gômer foram: Asquenaz, Rifate e Togarma.The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

4Os filhos de Javã foram: Elisá, Társis, Quitim e Dodanim.And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.

5Os seus descendentes tornaram-se povos marítimos, conquistando terras e formando nações, cada uma de acordo com a sua língua.From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations.

6Os filhos de Cam foram: Cuxe, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã.The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

7Os filhos de Cuxe foram: Sebá, Havilá, Sabtá, Raamá e Sabtecá. Os filhos de Raamá foram: Sabá e Dedã.The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

16Também estes povos são descendentes de Canaã: os jebuseus, os amorreus, os girgaseus,the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

17os heveus, os arqueus, os sineus,the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

18os arvadeus, os zemareus e os hamateus. Os cananeus se espalharam por diferentes partes.the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans were scattered,

19As fronteiras dos cananeus estenderam-se desde Sidom, indo em direção a Gerar, até Gaza, continuando até Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá e Zeboim, chegando até Lasa.and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

20Esses são os descendentes de Cam que se espalharam em muitas nações, com suas línguas diferentes.These are the sons of Ham according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
