1 ULB Ezequias começou a reinar quando tinha vinte e cinco anos de idade; ele reinou vinte e nove anos em Jerusalém. Sua mãe se chamava Abia, filha de Zacarias. BSB BSB: Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
2 ULB Ele fez o que era reto aos olhos de Yahweh, seguindo o exemplo de Davi, seu pai. BSB BSB: And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.
3 ULB No primeiro ano de seu reinado, no primeiro mês, Ezequias abriu as portas da casa de Yahweh e as reparou. BSB BSB: In the first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah opened and repaired the doors of the house of the LORD.
4 ULB Ele trouxe os sacerdotes e levitas e os reuniu no pátio no lado leste. BSB BSB: Then he brought in the priests and Levites and gathered them in the square on the east side.
5 ULB Disse-lhes: "Ouvi-me, vós levitas! Consagrai-vos a Yahweh, consagrai a casa de Yahweh, o Deus de vossos antepassados, e tirai a imundícia desse santo lugar. BSB BSB: “Listen to me, O Levites,” he said. “Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the house of the LORD, the God of your fathers. Remove from the Holy Place every impurity.
6 ULB Pois nossos antepassados pecaram e fizeram o que era mau aos olhos de Yahweh, nosso Deus; abandonaram-no, desviaram o rosto do lugar onde habita Yahweh e deram-lhe as costas. BSB BSB: For our fathers were unfaithful and did evil in the sight of the LORD our God. They abandoned Him, turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs on Him.
7 ULB Também fecharam as portas do pórtico e apagaram as lâmpadas; não queimaram incenso nem ofereceram sacrifícios no santo lugar ao Deus de Israel. BSB BSB: They also shut the doors of the portico and extinguished the lamps. They did not burn incense or present burnt offerings in the Holy Place of the God of Israel.
8 ULB Por isso, a ira de Yahweh caiu sobre Judá e Jerusalém, e Ele os fez objeto de terror, de horror e de escárnio, como podeis ver com vossos próprios olhos. BSB BSB: Therefore, the wrath of the LORD has fallen upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has made them an object of terror, horror, and scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.
9 ULB É por isso que nossos pais caíram à espada; nossos filhos, nossas filhas e nossas esposas estão em cativeiro. BSB BSB: For behold, this is why our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and daughters and wives are in captivity.
10 ULB Agora, está em meu coração fazer uma aliança com Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, para que Sua ira se desvie de nós. BSB BSB: Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, so that His fierce anger will turn away from us.
11 ULB Meus filhos, não sejais negligentes agora, pois Yahweh vos escolheu para estardes diante Dele, para O adorardes, para serdes seus ministros e queimardes incenso". BSB BSB: Now, my sons, do not be negligent, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, to minister before Him, and to burn incense.”
12 ULB Então, os Levitas se levantaram: do povo do coatitas: Maate, filho de Amasai, e Joel, filho de Azarias; do povo de Merari: Quis, filho de Abdi, e Azarias, filho de Jealelel; dos filhos de Gérson: Joá, filho de Zima, e Éden, filho de Joá; BSB BSB: Then the Levites set to work: Mahath son of Amasai and Joel son of Azariah from the Kohathites; Kish son of Abdi and Azariah son of Jehallelel from the Merarites; Joah son of Zimmah and Eden son of Joah from the Gershonites;
13 ULB dos filhos de Elizafã: Sinri e Jeuel; dos filhos de Asafe: Zacarias e Matanias; BSB BSB: Shimri and Jeuel from the Elizaphanites; Zechariah and Mattaniah from the Asaphites;
14 ULB dos filhos de Hemã: Jeuel e Simei; dos filhos de Jedutum, Semaías e Uziel. BSB BSB: Jehiel and Shimei from the Hemanites; and Shemaiah and Uzziel from the Jeduthunites.
15 ULB Eles ajuntaram seus irmãos, consagraram-se e entraram, conforme o rei lhes ordenou, seguindo as palavras de Yahweh, para limpar a casa de Yahweh. BSB BSB: When they had assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves, they went in to cleanse the house of the LORD, according to the command of the king by the words of the LORD.
16 ULB Os sacerdotes entraram na casa de Yahweh para limpá-la; tiraram toda a sujeira que encontraram no templo de Yahweh para o pátio da casa. Os levitas pegaram toda a imundícia e a lançaram no ribeiro de Cedrom. BSB BSB: So the priests went inside the house of the LORD to cleanse it, and they brought out to the courtyard all the unclean things that they found in the temple of the LORD. Then the Levites took these things and carried them out to the Kidron Valley.
17 ULB Começaram a consagração no primeiro dia do primeiro mês. No oitavo dia do mês, chegaram ao pórtico de Yahweh. Então, por mais oito dias, consagraram a casa de Yahweh. No décimo sexto dia do primeiro mês, terminaram. BSB BSB: They began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they reached the portico of the LORD. For eight more days they consecrated the house of the LORD itself, finishing on the sixteenth day of the first month.
18 ULB Então, foram até Ezequias, o rei, dentro do palácio, e disseram: "Limpamos toda a casa de Yahweh, o altar de sacrifícios, com todos os seus utensílios, e a mesa do pão da proposição, com todos os seus utensílios. BSB BSB: Then they went in to King Hezekiah and reported, “We have cleansed the entire house of the LORD, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the table of the showbread with all its utensils.
19 ULB E ainda preparamos e consagramos todos os itens que o rei Acaz havia jogado fora quando agiu com infidelidade, durante seu reinado. Vê, eles estão em frente ao altar de Yahweh". BSB BSB: Moreover, we have prepared and consecrated all the articles that King Ahaz in his unfaithfulness cast aside during his reign. They are now in front of the altar of the LORD.”
20 ULB Então, Ezequias, o rei, levantou-se cedo de manhã e reuniu os líderes da cidade; ele subiu à casa de Yahweh. BSB BSB: Early the next morning King Hezekiah gathered the city officials and went up to the house of the LORD.
21 ULB Trouxeram sete novilhos, sete carneiros, sete ovelhas e sete bodes como oferta pelos pecados do reino, pelo santuário e por Judá. Ordenou aos sacerdotes, os filhos de Arão, que os oferecessem sobre o altar de Yahweh. BSB BSB: They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And the king commanded the priests, the descendants of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
22 ULB Então, eles mataram os novilhos, os carneiros e as ovelhas. Os sacerdotes receberam o sangue e o aspergiram sobre o altar. BSB BSB: So they slaughtered the bulls, and the priests took the blood and splattered it on the altar. They slaughtered the rams and splattered the blood on the altar. And they slaughtered the lambs and splattered the blood on the altar.
23 ULB Trouxeram os bodes para oferta pelo pecado, diante do rei e da assembleia, e colocaram suas mãos sobre eles. BSB BSB: Then they brought the goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly, who laid their hands on them.
24 ULB Os sacerdotes os mataram e fizeram uma oferta pelo pecado com o sangue no altar, para fazer expiação por todo o Israel, pois o rei tinha ordenado que fizessem um sacrifício e uma oferta pelo pecado por todo o Israel. BSB BSB: And the priests slaughtered the goats and put their blood on the altar for a sin offering, to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had ordered the burnt offering and the sin offering for all Israel.
25 ULB Ezequias colocou os Levitas na casa de Yahweh, com címbalos, harpas e liras, organizando-os pela ordem de Davi, de Gade, o vidente do rei, e Natã, o profeta; porque a ordem vinha de Yahweh, por meio de Seus profetas. BSB BSB: Hezekiah stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres according to the command of David, of Gad the king’s seer, and of Nathan the prophet. For the command had come from the LORD through His prophets.
26 ULB Os levitas se levantaram com os instrumentos de Davi, e os sacerdotes com as trombetas. BSB BSB: The Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 ULB Ezequias ordenou-lhes que oferecessem holocausto no altar. Quando o sacrifício começou, o cântico de Yahweh também começou, com trombetas, junto com os instrumentos de Davi, rei de Israel. BSB BSB: And Hezekiah ordered that the burnt offering be sacrificed on the altar. When the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD and the trumpets began as well, accompanied by the instruments of David king of Israel.
28 ULB Toda a comunidade adorou, os cantores cantaram e as trombetas soaram; tudo isso continuou até o fim do sacrifício. BSB BSB: The whole assembly was worshiping, the singers were singing, and the trumpeters were playing. All this continued until the burnt offering was completed.
29 ULB Quando eles terminaram as ofertas, o rei e todos os que estavam presentes com ele se curvaram e adoraram. BSB BSB: When the offerings were completed, the king and all those present with him bowed down and worshiped.
30 ULB Além disso, Ezequias, o rei, e os líderes ordenaram aos levitas que cantassem louvores a Yahweh com as palavras de David e de Asafe, o vidente. Eles cantaram louvores com alegria, curvaram-se e adoraram. BSB BSB: Then King Hezekiah and his officials ordered the Levites to sing praises to the LORD in the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with gladness and bowed down and worshiped.
31 ULB Então, Ezequias disse: "Agora vós vos consagrastes a Yahweh. Vinde e trazei sacrifícios e ofertas de gratidão na casa de Yahweh". BSB BSB: Then Hezekiah said, “Now that you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the house of the LORD.” So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings.
32 ULB O número de holocaustos que a assembleia trouxe foi de setenta novilhos, cem carneiros e duzentos cordeiros. Todos esses foram para ofertas queimadas a Yahweh. BSB BSB: The number of burnt offerings the assembly brought was seventy bulls, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs; all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.
33 ULB Os animais que foram consagrados a Yahweh foram seiscentos bois e três mil ovelhas. BSB BSB: And the consecrated offerings were six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep.
34 ULB Porém eram poucos os sacerdotes para esfolar todos os holocaustos; então, os seus irmãos levitas os ajudaram até o trabalho terminar e os sacerdotes terminarem de se consagrar a Yahweh; pois os levitas eram mais cuidadosos em se consagrar do que os sacerdotes. BSB BSB: However, since there were not enough priests to skin all the burnt offerings, their Levite brothers helped them until the work was finished and until the priests had consecrated themselves. For the Levites had been more diligent in consecrating themselves than the priests had been.
35 ULB Além disso, havia muitos holocaustos; eles foram feitos com a gordura das ofertas pacíficas, e havia ofertas de libação para cada um dos sacrifícios. Assim, o serviço na casa de Yahweh foi posto em ordem. BSB BSB: Furthermore, the burnt offerings were abundant, along with the fat of the peace offerings and the drink offerings for the burnt offerings. So the service of the house of the LORD was established.
36 ULB Ezequias alegrou-se, com todo o povo, por causa daquilo que Deus havia preparado para o povo, pois a obra foi feita rapidamente. BSB BSB: Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had prepared for the people, because everything had been accomplished so quickly.
