2 Chronicles 8 (ULB)

7Quanto a todas as pessoas que sobraram dos heteus, dos amorreus, dos perizeus, dos heveus e dos jebuseus, que não pertenciam a Israel,As for all the people who remained of the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites (these people were not Israelites)—

8seus descendentes que haviam ficado na terra depois deles, que o povo de Israel não destruiu, Salomão fez deles trabalhadores forçados, o que são até hoje.their descendants who remained in the land, those whom the Israelites had not destroyed—Solomon conscripted these people to be forced laborers, as they are to this day.

11Salomão tirou a filha do Faraó da cidade de Davi, e levou para a casa que ele havia construído para ela, pois disse: "Minha esposa não deve viver na casa de Davi, rei de Israel, porque onde quer que a arca de Yahweh esteve é santo".Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh up from the City of David to the palace he had built for her. For he said, “My wife must not live in the house of David king of Israel, because the places the ark of the LORD has entered are holy.”

12Então, Salomão ofereceu holocaustos a Yahweh em Seu altar, que ele construiu em frente ao pórtico.At that time Solomon offered burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of the LORD he had built in front of the portico.

14Seguindo os decretos de Davi, seu pai, Salomão designou as divisões dos trabalhos dos sacerdotes, e as posições dos levitas para louvar a Deus e para servir diante dos sacerdotes, de acordo com a programação diária requerida. Ele também designou os porteiros de acordo com suas divisões em cada portão, pois Davi, o homem de Deus, também havia ordenado isso.In keeping with the ordinances of his father David, Solomon appointed the divisions of the priests over their service, and the Levites for their duties to offer praise and to minister before the priests according to the daily requirement. He also appointed gatekeepers by their divisions at each gate, for this had been the command of David, the man of God.

15Essas pessoas não se desviaram das ordens do rei aos sacerdotes e levitas, em relação a qualquer coisa, ou concernente aos armazéns.They did not turn aside from the king’s command regarding the priests or the Levites in any matter, including that of the treasuries.

16Todo o trabalho ordenado por Salomão foi realizado, do dia da fundação da casa de Yahweh até a sua conclusão— a casa de Yahweh foi concluída.Thus all the work of Solomon was carried out, from the day the foundation was laid for the house of the LORD until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was completed.

17Então, Salomão foi a Eziom-Geber e a Elate, na costa da terra do Edom.Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Eloth on the coast of Edom.

18Hirão lhe mandou navios comandados por oficiais que entendiam do mar; eles foram para Ofir, com os servos de Salomão; de lá eles trouxeram quatrocentos e cinquenta talentos de ouro para o rei Salomão.So Hiram sent him ships captained by his servants, along with crews of experienced sailors. They went with Solomon’s servants to Ophir and acquired from there 450 talents of gold, which they delivered to King Solomon.
