1Davi louvou a Yahweh, com as palavras desta canção, quando Yahweh o livrou das mãos de todos os seus inimigos e da mãos de Saul.And David sang this song to the LORD on the day the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

2Orou Davi dizendo: "Yahweh é meu rochedo, minha fortaleza e meu libertador.He said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.

3Deus é minha rocha, Nele eu me refugio. Ele é meu escudo e a força da minha salvação, minha fortaleza e meu refúgio, Aquele que me livra da violência.My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation. My stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior, You save me from violence.

4Clamarei a Yahweh que é digno de louvor e serei salvo dos meus inimigos.I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

5Pois as ondas da morte me cercaram. As ondas impetuosas da destruição me submergiram.For the waves of death engulfed me; the torrents of chaos overwhelmed me.

6Os cordões do Sheol me cercaram; as armadilhas de morte me prenderam.The cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.

7Na minha angústia, clamei a Yahweh; clamei ao meu Deus; e, do Seu Templo, Ele ouviu a minha voz, e meu clamor por socorro subiu até os Seus ouvidos.In my distress I called upon the LORD; I cried out to my God. And from His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help reached His ears.

8Então, a Terra sacudiu e tremeu. Os fundamentos dos céus tremeram e foram abalados, porque Deus estava irado.Then the earth shook and quaked; the foundations of the heavens trembled; they were shaken because He burned with anger.

9Das Suas narinas, subiu fumaça e fogo abrasador saiu de Sua boca e essas brasas ficaram em chamas.Smoke rose from His nostrils, and consuming fire came from His mouth; glowing coals blazed forth.

10Ele abriu os céus e desceu, e, debaixo dos Seus pés, havia densas trevas.He parted the heavens and came down with dark clouds beneath His feet.

11Ele montou num querubim e voou. Ele foi visto voando nas asas do vento.He mounted a cherub and flew; He soared on the wings of the wind.

12Fez das trevas uma tenda ao redor Dele, ajuntando densas nuvens de chuva no firmamento.He made darkness a canopy around Him, a gathering of water and thick clouds.

13Do relâmpago, diante Dele, caíram brasas de fogo.From the brightness of His presence coals of fire blazed forth.

14Yahweh trovejou dos céus. O Deus Altíssimo bradou.The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.

15Ele atirou flechas e espalhou Seus inimigos com raios, e os dispersou.He shot His arrows and scattered the foes; He hurled lightning and routed them.

16Então, surgiram os canais de água; os fundamentos do mundo foram expostos ao brado de guerra de Yahweh, ao estrondo do sopro de Suas narinas.The channels of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the world were exposed at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.

17Das alturas, estendeu Sua mão e me segurou! Ele me retirou das águas profundas.He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.

18Ele me resgatou do meu inimigo poderoso, daqueles que me odiavam, pois eles eram demasiadamente fortes para mim.He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from foes too mighty for me.

19Eles vieram contra mim no dia da minha angústia, mas Yahweh foi meu suporte.They confronted me in my day of calamity, but the LORD was my support.

20Ele também me levou a um lugar espaçoso e me salvou porque Se agradou de mim.He brought me out into the open; He rescued me because He delighted in me.

21Yahweh me recompensou conforme minha justiça; me restaurou conforme a pureza das minhas mãos.The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; He has repaid me according to the cleanness of my hands.

22Pois tenho guardado os caminhos de Yahweh e não ajo perversamente me desviando do meu Deus.For I have kept the ways of the LORD and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23Pois todos os Seus atos de justiça têm estado diante de mim; acerca dos Seus estatutos, não me desviei deles.For all His ordinances are before me; I have not disregarded His statutes.

24Eu fui inocente diante Dele e tenho me afastado do pecado.And I have been blameless before Him and kept myself from iniquity.

25Por isto, Yahweh me restaurou segundo a minha justiça, segundo a minha pureza de coração diante dos Seus olhos.So the LORD has repaid me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His sight.

26Ao fiel, Tu te mostras fiel; ao homem íntegro, Tu te mostras íntegro.To the faithful You show Yourself faithful, to the blameless You show Yourself blameless;

27Com o puro de coração, Tu te mostras puro, porém, Tu te mostras implacável com o perverso.to the pure You show Yourself pure, but to the crooked You show Yourself shrewd.

28Tu livras o aflito, mas os Teus olhos estão contra o soberbo para o humilhar.You save an afflicted people, but Your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down.

29Pois Tu, Yahweh, és minha lâmpada. Yahweh ilumina minha escuridão.For You, O LORD, are my lamp; the LORD lights up my darkness.

30Pois, contigo, eu posso pular uma barreira; com meu Deus, eu posso saltar uma muralha.For in You I can charge an army; with my God I can scale a wall.

31Quanto a Deus, Seu caminho é perfeito. A palavra de Yahweh é pura. Ele é escudo para todos os que Nele se refugiam.As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

32Pois quem é Deus senão Yahweh? E quem é rocha senão nosso Deus?For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?

33Deus é meu refúgio e Ele conduz o justo no Seu caminho.God is my strong fortress, and He makes my way clear.

34Ele faz meus pés velozes como os da corça e me põe sobre as montanhas.He makes my feet like those of a deer and stations me upon the heights.

35Ele treina minhas mãos para guerra e meus braços para vergar um arco de bronze.He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

36Tu tens me dado o escudo da Tua salvação e Teu favor me fez grande.You have given me Your shield of salvation, and Your gentleness exalts me.

37Tu tens feito um amplo lugar debaixo meus pés, para que eles não escorreguem.You broaden the path beneath me so that my ankles do not give way.

38Eu persegui meus inimigos e os destruí. Não recuei até que eles foram destruídos.I pursued my enemies and destroyed them; I did not turn back until they were consumed.

39Os devorei e os despedacei; eles não se levantarão; eles estão debaixo dos meus pés.I devoured and crushed them so they could not rise; they have fallen under my feet.

40Tu me fortaleceste como um cinto para batalha; subjugaste debaixo dos meus pés aqueles que se levantam contra mim.You have armed me with strength for battle; You have subdued my foes beneath me.

41Tu me deste a nuca dos meus inimigos; eu aniquilei os que me odeiam.You have made my enemies retreat before me; I destroyed those who hated me.

42Eles suplicaram por ajuda, mas ninguém os socorreu; eles gritaram por Yahweh, mas Ele não os respondeu.They looked, but there was no one to save them—to the LORD, but He did not answer.

43Eu os despedacei e fiz deles como poeira no chão. Eu os amassei como lama nas ruas.I ground them as the dust of the earth; I crushed and trampled them like mud in the streets.

44Tu também me resgataste das contendas do meu próprio povo. Tu tens me mantido por cabeça das nações. Um povo que não conheci, me serve.You have delivered me from the strife of my people; You have preserved me as the head of nations; a people I had not known shall serve me.

45Estrangeiros foram obrigados a me reverenciar. Tão logo eles ouviram a meu respeito, me obedeceram.Foreigners cower before me; when they hear me, they obey me.

46Os estrangeiros saíram tremendo de suas fortalezas.Foreigners lose heart and come trembling from their strongholds.

47Yahweh vive! Seja exaltada minha rocha. Seja Deus exaltado, a rocha da minha salvação.The LORD lives, and blessed be my Rock! And may God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted—

48Este é o Deus que executa vingança em meu favor; Aquele que sujeita povos a mim.the God who avenges me and brings down nations beneath me,

49Ele me liberta dos meus inimigos. Na verdade, Tu me ergueste acima daqueles que se levantaram contra mim. Tu me resgatas do homem violento.who frees me from my enemies. You exalt me above my foes; You rescue me from violent men.

50Por isso, eu te darei graças, ó Yahweh, entre as nações; cantarei louvores ao Teu nome.Therefore I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name.

51Deus concede grande vitória a Seu rei, e Ele revela Sua aliança de lealdade ao Seu ungido, a Davi e aos seus descendentes para sempre".Great salvation He brings to His king. He shows loving devotion to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”
