1 ULB Guardarás todos os mandamentos que te dei hoje, para que tenhas vida e te multipliques, e entres e tomes posse da terra que Yahweh jurou a teus pais. BSB BSB: You must carefully follow every commandment I am giving you today, so that you may live and multiply, and enter and possess the land that the LORD swore to give your fathers.
2 ULB Lembrarás de todos os caminhos que Yahweh, teu Deus, te conduziu nesses quarenta anos no deserto, para que Ele te humilhasse e te testasse, a fim de saber o que estava no teu coração, se tu guardarias os Seus mandamentos ou não. BSB BSB: Remember that these forty years the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commandments.
3 ULB Ele te humilhou, te deixou ter fome e te alimentou com maná, que tu nem conhecias, nem os teus pais conheciam. Ele fez estas coisas para que saibais que o ser humano não vive somente de pão, mas é de tudo que procede da boca de Yahweh que o ser humano vive. BSB BSB: He humbled you, and in your hunger He gave you manna to eat, which neither you nor your fathers had known, so that you might understand that man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
4 ULB Tuas roupas não envelheceram em ti e teus pés não incharam durante esses quarentas anos. BSB BSB: Your clothing did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.
5 ULB Pensa, no teu coração, que Yahweh, teu Deus, te corrige, assim como um homem corrige seu filho. BSB BSB: So know in your heart that just as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.
6 ULB Guarda os mandamentos de Yahweh, teu Deus, para que tu andes em Seus caminhos e O honres. BSB BSB: Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, walking in His ways and fearing Him.
7 ULB Porque Yahweh, teu Deus, está te levando a uma boa terra, terra de ribeiros de águas, de fontes e nascentes, que brotam dos vales e nas colinas; BSB BSB: For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks and fountains and springs that flow through the valleys and hills;
8 ULB uma terra de trigo e cevada, de vinhas, de figueiras e romãzeiras; terra de oliveiras e mel. BSB BSB: a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey;
9 ULB É uma terra em que comerás pão sem escassez, e onde não te faltará nada; uma terra cujas pedras são feitas de ferro e de cujos montes poderás tirar cobre. BSB BSB: a land where you will eat food without scarcity, where you will lack nothing; a land whose rocks are iron and whose hills are ready to be mined for copper.
10 ULB Comerás e te fartarás e bendirás a Yahweh, teu Deus, pela boa terra que Ele te deu. BSB BSB: When you eat and are satisfied, you are to bless the LORD your God for the good land that He has given you.
11 ULB Cuidado para não te esqueceres de Yahweh, teu Deus, e negligenciares os Seus mandamentos, Suas ordenanças, e Seus estatutos, que hoje te ordeno. BSB BSB: Be careful not to forget the LORD your God by failing to keep His commandments and ordinances and statutes, which I am giving you this day.
12 ULB Senão, quando comeres e estiveres farto, e, quando construíres boas casas e nelas habitares, o teu coração fique elevado. BSB BSB: Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses in which to dwell,
13 ULB Cuidado, pois, quando as tuas manadas e teus rebanhos se multiplicarem, quando a tua prata e o teu ouro aumentarem, quando tudo que a ti pertence se multiplicar BSB BSB: and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all that you have is multiplied,
14 ULB e, assim, teu coração se tornar envaidecido, cuida para que não te esqueças de Yahweh, teu Deus, que te trouxe da terra do Egito, da casa da escravidão. BSB BSB: then your heart will become proud, and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
15 ULB Não te esqueças Daquele que te conduziu pelo grande e terrível deserto, em que havia serpentes venenosas e escorpiões, e pela terra seca onde não havia água; Daquele que tirou água da dura rocha para ti. BSB BSB: He led you through the vast and terrifying wilderness with its venomous snakes and scorpions, a thirsty and waterless land. He brought you water from the rock of flint.
16 ULB Ele te alimentou no deserto com o maná que teus antepassados nunca conheceram, para te humilhar e te testar, mas, para mais tarde, te fazer bem. BSB BSB: He fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers had not known, in order to humble you and test you, so that in the end He might cause you to prosper.
17 ULB Portanto, não digas em teu coração: 'Meu poder e a força da minha mão conquistaram toda essa riqueza'. BSB BSB: You might say in your heart, “The power and strength of my hands have made this wealth for me.”
18 ULB Mas lembra-te de Yahweh, teu Deus, porque Ele te deu poder para conquistar riquezas; para estabelecer a Sua aliança que jurou aos teus pais como existe hoje. BSB BSB: But remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers even to this day.
19 ULB Caso te esqueças de Yahweh, teu Deus, e sigas outros deuses, e os adores, e os reverencies, eu testemunho contra ti, hoje, que certamente perecerás. BSB BSB: If you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods to worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish.
20 ULB Como as nações que Yahweh está fazendo perecer diante de ti, assim perecerás, por não haveres escutado a voz de Yahweh, teu Deus. BSB BSB: Like the nations that the LORD has destroyed before you, so you will perish if you do not obey the LORD your God.
