2 ULB Enviarei um anjo à tua frente, e expulsarei os cananeus, os amorreus, os heteus, os perizeus, os heveus e os jebuseus. BSB BSB: And I will send an angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
3 ULB Vá para a terra da qual está fluindo leite e mel, porém Eu não irei contigo, porque és um povo muito teimoso. Eu poderei destruí-los no caminho". BSB BSB: Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people; otherwise, I might destroy you on the way.”
4 ULB Quando o povo ouviu essas palavras inquietantes, pranteou, e não se adornou de jóias. BSB BSB: When the people heard this bad news, they went into mourning, and no one put on any of his jewelry.

9 ULB E quando Moisés entrava na Tenda, a coluna de nuvem descia e ficava à entrada da Tenda, e Yahweh falava com Moisés. BSB BSB: As Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and remain at the entrance, and the LORD would speak with Moses.
10 ULB Sempre que o povo via a coluna de nuvem parada em frente à entrada da Tenda, todos se levantavam e adoravam, cada um na entrada de sua tenda. Disseste também: 'Conheço-Te por teu nome, e achaste favor aos Meus olhos. BSB BSB: Then Moses said to the LORD, “Look, You have been telling me, ‘Lead this people up,’ but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have found favor in My sight.’
13 ULB Se achei favor aos Teus olhos, rogo-Te que agora me mostres os Teus caminhos, para que eu Te conheça, a fim de que continue a achar favor aos Teus olhos. Lembra-Te que esta nação é o Teu povo". BSB BSB: Now if indeed I have found favor in Your sight, please let me know Your ways, that I may know You and find favor in Your sight. Remember that this nation is Your people.”
14 ULB Yahweh respondeu-lhe: "Eu mesmo irei contigo, e te darei descanso". BSB BSB: And the LORD answered, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 ULB Então Moisés lhe disse: "Se Tu mesmo não fores conosco, não nos tires daqui. BSB BSB: “If Your Presence does not go with us,” Moses replied, “do not lead us up from here.
16 ULB Caso contrário, como saber que encontrei favor aos Teus olhos, eu e o Teu povo? Acaso não é somente por andares conosco, que eu e o Teu povo somos diferentes de todos os outros povos da face da terra?" BSB BSB: For how then can it be known that Your people and I have found favor in Your sight, unless You go with us? How else will we be distinguished from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
17 ULB E Yahweh disse a Moisés: "Farei também isso que Me pediste, pois achaste favor aos Meus olhos, e te conheço pelo nome". BSB BSB: So the LORD said to Moses, “I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.”
18 ULB Disse Moisés: "Por favor, mostra-me a Tua glória". BSB BSB: Then Moses said, “Please show me Your glory.”
19 ULB Yahweh disse: "Farei passar toda a minha bondade diante de ti, e diante de ti proclamarei o meu nome, 'Yahweh'. Eu serei gracioso com quem Eu quiser ser gracioso, e mostrarei misericórdia a quem Eu quiser mostrar misericórdia". BSB BSB: “I will cause all My goodness to pass before you,” the LORD replied, “and I will proclaim My name—the LORD—in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
20 ULB Porém Yahweh disse: "Não poderás ver a Minha face, porque ninguém pode ver a Minha face e viver". BSB BSB: But He added, “You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live.”
21 ULB Yahweh disse: "Vede, eis um lugar próximo de Mim; Tu ficarás sobre esta rocha. BSB BSB: The LORD continued, “There is a place near Me where you are to stand upon a rock,
22 ULB Enquanto a Minha glória passar, te colocarei numa fenda da rocha, e te cobrirei com Minha mão até Eu passar. BSB BSB: and when My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.
23 ULB Então, tirarei a Minha mão e verás as Minhas costas, mas a Minha face não será vista". BSB BSB: Then I will take My hand away, and you will see My back; but My face must not be seen.”
