1 ULB Pois a Lei é apenas uma sombra dos bens futuros, não as formas reais dessas coisas em si. Ela nunca pode tornar perfeitos os que se aproximam de Deus, através dos mesmos sacrifícios que os sacerdotes oferecem continuamente ano após ano. BSB BSB: For the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
2 ULB Do contrário aqueles sacrifícios não teriam deixado de serem oferecidos? Nesse caso, se tivessem sido limpos de uma vez por todas, os que prestam culto não teriam mais consciência do pecado. 35 ULB Então, não lanceis fora a vossa confiança, na qual tendes uma grande recompensa. BSB BSB: So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward.
36 ULB Pois precisais de paciência para que, depois de terdes feito a Sua vontade, possais receber o que Deus vos tem prometido. BSB BSB: You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.

39 ULB Mas nós não somos daqueles que voltam atrás, para destruição, mas daqueles que têm fé para preservar nossa alma. BSB BSB: But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
