5 ULB Yahweh tornou a falar comigo: BSB BSB: And the LORD spoke to me further:
6 ULB "Porque este povo rejeitou as águas calmas de Siloé, e alegrou-se com Rezim e com o filho de Remalias, BSB BSB: “Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoiced in Rezin and the son of Remaliah,
7 ULB portanto, eis que o Senhor fará vir sobre ele as poderosas e impetuosas águas do rio— o rei da Assíria e toda a sua glória—, que transbordarão ao longo de todos os canais e extravasarão por suas margens. BSB BSB: the Lord will surely bring against them the mighty floodwaters of the Euphrates—the king of Assyria and all his pomp. It will overflow its channels and overrun its banks.
9 ULB Ó povos, sereis destruídos! Ouvi, todos vós que sois de lugares distantes: armai-vos para a guerra e sede quebrados em pedaços; sim, mesmo prontos para a guerra, sereis despedaçados. BSB BSB: Huddle together, O peoples, and be shattered; pay attention, all you distant lands; prepare for battle, and be shattered; prepare for battle, and be shattered!
10 ULB Mesmo que façais um plano, será frustrado. Mesmo que deis ordens, nada será cumprido, pois Deus está conosco! BSB BSB: Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not happen. For God is with us.”
11 ULB Pois Yahweh, com Sua mão forte sobre mim, me advertiu a não andar pelo caminho deste povo, dizendo: BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD has spoken to me with a strong hand, instructing me not to walk in the way of this people:
12 ULB "Não chames conspiração tudo que este povo chama conspiração; não temas o que eles temem, e não fiques aterrorizado. BSB BSB: “Do not call conspiracy everything these people regard as conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear; do not live in dread.
13 ULB É a Yahweh dos Exércitos a Quem deves santificar-te; seja Ele o teu temor, pois Ele é o único de Quem deves ter pavor. BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts is the One you shall regard as holy. Only He should be feared; only He should be dreaded.
14 ULB Ele te será por santuário, mas servirá como uma pedra de tropeço e uma rocha de escândalo para as duas casas de Israel e, de armadilha e de laços, para o povo de Jerusalém. BSB BSB: And He will be a sanctuary—but to both houses of Israel a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, to the dwellers of Jerusalem a trap and a snare.
15 ULB Muitos tropeçarão e cairão; e serão destruídos, enlaçados e capturados. BSB BSB: Many will stumble over these; they will fall and be broken; they will be ensnared and captured.”
16 ULB Conserva meu testemunho, sela o registro, entrega-o aos meus discípulos". BSB BSB: Bind up the testimony and seal the law among my disciples.
17 ULB Esperarei por Yahweh, que esconde Sua face da casa de Jacó, e o aguardarei com confiança. BSB BSB: I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in Him.
18 ULB Vede! Aqui estou, com os filhos que Yahweh me deu por sinais e maravilhas em Israel, da parte de Yahweh dos Exércitos, que habita no monte Sião. BSB BSB: Here am I, and the children the LORD has given me as signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD of Hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.
20 ULB Respondei: "Consultai a Lei e o Testemunho!". Se não falarem dessa forma, é porque não há luz neles. BSB BSB: To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
21 ULB Eles passarão pela terra em grande fome e aflição. Quando tiverem fome, ficarão irados e, ao olharem para cima, amaldiçoarão o seu rei e o seu Deus. BSB BSB: They will roam the land, dejected and hungry. When they are famished, they will become enraged; and looking upward, they will curse their king and their God.
22 ULB Eles olharão para a Terra e verão sofrimento, escuridão e tristeza de aflição. Eles serão lançados em densas trevas. BSB BSB: Then they will look to the earth and see only distress and darkness and the gloom of anguish. And they will be driven into utter darkness.
