3 ULB Porque assim diz Yahweh a respeito dos filhos e filhas que nascem neste lugar, para as mães que dão à luz a eles e para os pais que geraram nesta terra: BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD says concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and the mothers who bore them, and the fathers who fathered them in this land:
4 ULB 'Eles morrerão de enfermidades terríveis, não serão lamentados ou enterrados, serão como esterco no chão. Eles morrerão por espada e fome, e seus corpos serão alimento para os pássaros dos céus e para as feras da terra". BSB BSB: “They will die from deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried, but will lie like dung on the ground. They will be finished off by sword and famine, and their corpses will become food for the birds of the air and beasts of the earth.”
5 ULB Assim diz Yahweh: "Não entres em nenhuma casa que esteja em luto; não lamentes e não se compadeça deles. Pois Eu levei para longe dessas pessoas a Minha paz, Meu amor leal e a Minha misericórdia!— Esta é a declaração de Yahweh. BSB BSB: Indeed, this is what the LORD says: “Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal. Do not go to mourn or show sympathy, for I have removed from this people My peace, My loving devotion, and My compassion,” declares the LORD.
6 ULB Ambos, grandes e pequenos, morrerão nesta terra. Eles não serão enterrados, nem serão lamentados por ninguém; não cortarão a si mesmos e nem rasparão as suas cabeças por eles. BSB BSB: “Both great and small will die in this land. They will not be buried or mourned, nor will anyone cut himself or shave his head for them.
7 ULB Ninguém deve compartilhar alimento com os que estiverem pranteando para confortá-los por causa dos mortos e, ninguém deve dar de beber o cálice de consolação pela morte de seu pai ou mãe, a fim de confortá-los. BSB BSB: No food will be offered to comfort those who mourn the dead; not even a cup of consolation will be given for the loss of a father or mother.
8 ULB Tu não entrarás numa casa de banquete para sentar-se com eles, para comer e beber. BSB BSB: You must not enter a house where there is feasting and sit down with them to eat and drink.
9 ULB Pois, Yahweh dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel, disse isto: Vede, diante de vossos olhos, em vossos dias e neste lugar, Eu farei cessar o som de alegria e celebração, e também a voz do noivo e da noiva. BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to remove from this place, before your very eyes and in your days, the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bride and bridegroom.
10 ULB Então, acontecerá que tu falarás todas estas palavras para esse povo, e eles te dirão: 'Por que Yahweh decretou esse grande mal contra nós? Qual é a nossa iniquidade? Qual é nossa iniquidade e pecado contra Yahweh nosso Deus?' BSB BSB: When you tell these people all these things, they will ask you, ‘Why has the LORD pronounced all this great disaster against us? What is our iniquity? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?’
11 ULB Então, responde-lhes: 'É porque vossos ancestrais Me abandonaram!'— Esta é a declaração de Yahweh. 'Eles foram atrás de outros deuses e os adoraram, e curvaram-se diante deles; eles Me abandonaram e não guardaram a Minha lei. BSB BSB: Then you are to answer them: ‘It is because your fathers have forsaken Me, declares the LORD, and followed other gods, and served and worshiped them. They abandoned Me and did not keep My instruction.
12 ULB Todavia, vós mesmos fizestes mais maldades do que vossos ancestrais, cada pessoa está caminhando pela obstinação do seu coração perverso; não há ninguém que Me escute. BSB BSB: And you have done more evil than your fathers. See how each of you follows the stubbornness of his evil heart instead of obeying Me.
13 ULB Portanto, Eu vos tirarei desta terra para uma terra que não conheceis, nem vós, nem vossos ancestrais; e vós adorareis os deuses de lá, dia e noite, e não vos darei nenhum favor. BSB BSB: So I will cast you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known. There you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’
14 ULB Vede! Os dias estão chegando— esta é a declaração de Yahweh— quando não mais se dirá: 'Tão certo como vive Yahweh, Aquele que trouxe o povo de Israel da terra de Egito'; BSB BSB: Yet behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when they will no longer say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of Egypt.’
15 ULB mas, 'tão certo como vive Yahweh, Aquele que livrou o povo de Israel da terra do norte e das terras por onde Ele os espalhou!' Eu vos trarei de volta à terra que dei aos vossos ancestrais. BSB BSB: Instead they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and all the other lands to which He had banished them.’ For I will return them to their land that I gave to their forefathers.
16 ULB Vede! Eu enviarei muitos pescadores— esta é a declaração de Yahweh— e eles pescarão o povo. Depois disso, Eu enviarei muitos caçadores, e eles vos caçarão em todas as montanhas, morros e fendas de rochas. BSB BSB: But for now I will send for many fishermen, declares the LORD, and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill, even from the clefts of the rocks.
17 ULB Porque Meus olhos estão sobre todos os vossos caminhos; não podereis esconder-vos de Mim; vossa iniquidade não será oculta diante dos Meus olhos. BSB BSB: For My eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from My face, and their guilt is not concealed from My eyes.
18 ULB Primeiramente, Eu vos retribuirei em dobro por vossa iniquidade e pecado, por contaminar a Minha terra com vossas imagens detestáveis, e por encherem minha herança com vossos ídolos abomináveis." BSB BSB: And I will first repay them double their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the carcasses of their detestable idols, and they have filled My inheritance with their abominations.”
19 ULB Yahweh, Tu és minha fortaleza e meu refúgio, meu lugar seguro no dia da angústia. As nações virão a Ti dos confins da terra e dirão: 'Certamente, os nossos ancestrais herdaram mentira, vaidade e coisas que não servem para nada'. BSB BSB: O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of distress, the nations will come to You from the ends of the earth, and they will say, “Our fathers inherited nothing but lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all.
20 ULB "O povo faz para si deuses que, na verdade, não são deuses?. BSB BSB: Can man make gods for himself? Such are not gods!”
21 ULB Portanto, vede! Eu farei com que eles, nesse tempo, conheçam a Minha mão e o Meu poder; então, eles saberão que Yahweh é Meu nome". BSB BSB: “Therefore behold, I will inform them, and this time I will make them know My power and My might; then they will know that My name is the LORD.
