1 ULB Yahweh continuou a falar para Jó; Ele disse: BSB BSB: And the LORD said to Job:
2 ULB "Pode alguém que deseja criticar tentar corrigir ao Altíssimo? Aquele que argumenta com Deus, que ele responda". BSB BSB: “Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who argues with God give an answer.”
3 ULB Então, Jó respondeu a Yahweh e disse: BSB BSB: Then Job answered the LORD:
4 ULB "Vê, eu sou insignificante; como posso responder a Ti? Eu ponho a minha mão sobre a minha boca. BSB BSB: “Behold, I am insignificant. How can I reply to You? I place my hand over my mouth.
5 ULB Falei uma vez e não responderei; aliás, duas vezes, mas não procederei adiante". BSB BSB: I have spoken once, but I have no answer—twice, but I have nothing to add.”
6 ULB Depois, Yahweh respondeu a Jó no meio de uma tempestade e disse: BSB BSB: Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
7 ULB "Agora, cinge os teus lombos como homem, porque vou te fazer perguntas e tu deverás Me responder. BSB BSB: “Now brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall inform Me.
8 ULB Irás realmente dizer que sou injusto? Irás Me condenar para que tu declares que estás certo? BSB BSB: Would you really annul My justice? Would you condemn Me to justify yourself?
9 ULB Tens tu um braço como Deus? Podes tu trovejar com uma voz como a Dele? BSB BSB: Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like His?
10 ULB Agora, veste-te de glória e dignidade; cobre-te de honra e majestade. BSB BSB: Then adorn yourself with majesty and splendor, and clothe yourself with honor and glory.
11 ULB Derrama o excesso de tua ira; olha para todo aquele que é soberbo e humilha-o. BSB BSB: Unleash the fury of your wrath; look on every proud man and bring him low.
12 ULB Olha para todo aquele que é orgulhoso e humilha-o; pisa sobre as pessoas perversas onde elas ficam de pé. BSB BSB: Look on every proud man and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.
13 ULB Enterra-os na terra juntos, aprisiona as suas faces em lugar escondido. BSB BSB: Bury them together in the dust; imprison them in the grave.
14 ULB Depois, irei também reconhecer a ti que a tua mão direita pode te salvar. BSB BSB: Then I will confess to you that your own right hand can save you.
15 ULB Contempla agora o brutamonte que Eu fiz assim como te fiz; ele come capim tal como o boi. BSB BSB: Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you. He feeds on grass like an ox.
16 ULB Vê, a sua força está nos seus lombos; o seu poder está nos músculos da sua barriga. BSB BSB: See the strength of his loins and the power in the muscles of his belly.
17 ULB Ele movimenta a sua cauda tal como um cedro; os tendões da sua coxa estão bem juntos. BSB BSB: His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.
18 ULB Os seus ossos são como tubos de bronze; as suas pernas são como barras de ferro. BSB BSB: His bones are tubes of bronze; his limbs are rods of iron.
19 ULB Ele é o chefe das criaturas de Deus. Apenas Deus, que o fez, pode vencê-lo. BSB BSB: He is the foremost of God’s works; only his Maker can draw the sword against him.
20 ULB Os montes lhe provêm alimento; as bestas do campo brincam por perto. BSB BSB: The hills yield him their produce, while all the beasts of the field play nearby.
21 ULB Ele se deita debaixo dos lotus no abrigo do mato, nos pântanos. BSB BSB: He lies under the lotus plants, hidden among the reeds of the marsh.
22 ULB As plantas de lotus cobrem-lhe com a sua sombra; os salgueiros do riacho estão a sua volta. BSB BSB: The lotus plants conceal him in their shade; the willows of the brook surround him.
23 ULB Se o rio inunda as suas margens, ele não estremece; ele é confiante, ainda que o rio Jordão venha a subir até a sua boca. BSB BSB: Though the river rages, Behemoth is unafraid; he remains secure, though the Jordan surges to his mouth.
24 ULB Poderá alguém capturá-lo com um gancho ou perfurar o seu nariz com uma armadilha? BSB BSB: Can anyone capture him as he looks on, or pierce his nose with a snare?
