1 ULB Havia um fariseu cujo nome era Nicodemos, um líder dos judeus. BSB BSB: Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews.

4 ULB Nicodemos disse-Lhe: "Como pode um homem nascer sendo já velho? Ele pode entrar uma segunda vez no ventre de sua mãe e nascer de novo?". BSB BSB: “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?”

9 ULB Nicodemos respondeu-Lhe dizendo: "Como pode ser isso?". BSB BSB: “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
10 ULB Jesus lhe respondeu: "Tu, que és mestre em Israel, não entendes estas coisas? BSB BSB: “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and you do not understand these things?
11 ULB Em verdade, em verdade, te digo: Nós falamos daquilo que sabemos, e testificamos do que temos visto; ainda assim vós não aceitais nosso testemunho. BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, and yet you people do not accept our testimony.
12 ULB Se vos falei sobre coisas terrenas e não acreditastes, como acreditareis se vos contar sobre as coisas celestiais? BSB BSB: If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
13 ULB Ninguém jamais subiu ao céu, exceto Aquele que desceu do céu, o Filho do Homem. BSB BSB: No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.
14 ULB Assim como Moisés levantou a serpente no deserto, o Filho do Homem deverá ser levantado, BSB BSB: Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

BSB BSB: Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
19 ULB Este é o julgamento: que a Luz veio ao mundo, e os homens amaram mais as trevas que a Luz, porque suas obras eram perversas. BSB BSB: And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil.
20 ULB Pois todo aquele que pratica o mal odeia a luz, e não vem para a luz para que suas obras não sejam expostas. BSB BSB: Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21 ULB Entretanto, aquele que pratica a verdade vem para a luz, a fim de que se veja claramente que suas ações foram feitas em Deus. BSB BSB: But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”
22 ULB Depois disso, Jesus e Seus discípulos foram para a região da Judeia, onde passou algum tempo com eles, e ali batizava. BSB BSB: After this, Jesus and His disciples went into the Judean countryside, where He spent some time with them and baptized.

BSB BSB: So John’s disciples came to him and said, “Look, Rabbi, the One who was with you beyond the Jordan, the One you testified about—He is baptizing, and everyone is going to Him.”
27 ULB João respondeu: "Ninguém pode receber nada, a não ser que lhe seja dado dos céus. BSB BSB: John replied, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven.
28 ULB Vós mesmos sois testemunhas de que eu disse: 'Eu não sou o Cristo', mas disse: 'Sou enviado adiante Dele'. BSB BSB: You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but am sent ahead of Him.’

33 ULB Aquele que aceita o Seu testemunho confirma que Deus é verdadeiro. BSB BSB: Whoever accepts His testimony has certified that God is truthful.
34 ULB Pois Aquele que é enviado de Deus fala as palavras de Deus. Pois Seu Espírito é dado sem medida. BSB BSB: For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.
35 ULB O Pai ama o Filho e entregou todas as coisas na Sua mão. BSB BSB: The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in His hands.
36 ULB Aquele que crê no Filho tem a vida eterna, mas aquele que desobedece ao Filho não verá a vida, mas sobre ele permanece a ira de Deus". BSB BSB: Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.”
