2 ULB Pega o Teu escudo pequeno e o escudo grande; levanta-Te e me ajuda. BSB BSB: Take up Your shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.
3 ULB Usa Tua lança e Teu machado de batalha contra aqueles que me perseguem; dize para minha alma: "Eu Sou tua salvação." BSB BSB: Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers; say to my soul: “I am your salvation.”
4 ULB Que aqueles que procuram tirar-me a vida sejam envergonhados e desonrados; os que planejam machucar-me que retornem e se confundam. BSB BSB: May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plan to harm me be driven back and confounded.
5 ULB Que eles sejam como a palha diante do vento, enquanto o anjo de Yahweh os leva para longe. BSB BSB: May they be like chaff in the wind, as the angel of the LORD drives them away.
6 ULB Que o caminho deles seja escuro e escorregadio, enquanto o anjo de Yahweh os persegue. BSB BSB: May their path be dark and slick, as the angel of the LORD pursues.
7 ULB Sem motivo, eles estenderam sua rede para mim; eles cavaram uma cova para minha vida. BSB BSB: For without cause they laid their net for me; without reason they dug a pit for my soul.
8 ULB Que a destruição os pegue de surpresa; e a rede que eles estenderam os pegue inesperadamente; que caiam nela, para sua própria destruição. BSB BSB: May ruin befall them by surprise; may the net they hid ensnare them; may they fall into the hazard they created.
9 ULB Mas eu me alegrarei e rejubilarei na Tua salvação. BSB BSB: Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD and exult in His salvation.
10 ULB Todos os meus ossos dirão: "Yahweh, quem é igual a Ti, que resgata os oprimidos dos que são mais fortes do que eles, e livra os pobres e necessitados daqueles que tentam roubá-los?" BSB BSB: All my bones will exclaim, “Who is like You, O LORD, who delivers the afflicted from the aggressor, the poor and needy from the robber?”
11 ULB Falsas testemunhas se levantam; elas me acusam falsamente. BSB BSB: Hostile witnesses come forward; they make charges I know nothing about.
12 ULB Elas me pagam o mal pelo bem, o que me deixa triste. BSB BSB: They repay me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul.
13 ULB Todavia, quando estavam doentes, eu usei roupa de saco; jejuei por eles com minha cabeça curvada sobre meu peito. BSB BSB: Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting, but my prayers returned unanswered.

17 ULB Senhor, por quanto tempo contemplarás? Resgata minha alma desses ataques destrutivos; resgata minha vida dos leões. BSB BSB: How long, O Lord, will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, my precious life from these lions.
18 ULB Então, eu agradecerei a Ti na grande assembleia; eu O louvarei entre muitas pessoas. BSB BSB: Then I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.
19 ULB Não deixes meus inimigos enganadores se alegrarem sobre mim; não deixes que sigam em frente com seus esquemas cruéis. BSB BSB: Let not my enemies gloat over me without cause, nor those who hate me without reason wink in malice.
20 ULB Pois eles não falam de paz, mas inventam palavras enganosas contra os que vivem em paz na nossa terra. BSB BSB: For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful schemes against those who live quietly in the land.
21 ULB Eles abrem suas bocas contra mim, dizendo: "Ah! Nossos olhos viram isso". BSB BSB: They gape at me and say, “Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen!”
22 ULB Tu tens visto isso, Yahweh, não fiques em silêncio; Senhor, não estejas longe de mim. BSB BSB: O LORD, You have seen it; be not silent. O Lord, be not far from me.
23 ULB Levanta-Te e desperta para minha defesa; meu Deus e meu Senhor, defende minha causa. BSB BSB: Awake and rise to my defense, to my cause, my God and my Lord!
24 ULB Defende-me, Yahweh meu Deus, por Tua retidão, não deixes que se alegrem sobre mim. BSB BSB: Vindicate me by Your righteousness, O LORD my God, and do not let them gloat over me.
25 ULB Não permitas que digam em seus corações: "Ah, nós temos o que desejávamos". Não deixes que digam: "Nós o devoramos". BSB BSB: Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, just what we wanted!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up!”
26 ULB Que sejam postos em vergonha e sejam confundidos os que se alegram com a minha angústia. Sejam cobertos de vergonha e desonra os que me insultam. BSB BSB: May those who gloat in my distress be ashamed and confounded; may those who exalt themselves over me be clothed in shame and reproach.
27 ULB Os que desejam minha defesa gritem de alegria e sejam contentes; que eles falem continuamente: "Yahweh seja louvado! Ele que se regozija no bem-estar de Seu servo". BSB BSB: May those who favor my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “Exalted be the LORD who delights in His servant’s well-being.”
28 ULB Então, eu falarei da Tua justiça e Te louvarei durante todo o dia. BSB BSB: Then my tongue will proclaim Your righteousness and Your praises all day long.
