1Não te irrites por causa dos malfeitores; não invejes os que agem injustamente.Of David. Do not fret over those who do evil; do not envy those who do wrong.

2Pois eles logo secarão como a grama e murcharão como as plantas verdes.For they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender plants.

3Confia em Yahweh e faze o bem. Habita na terra e alimenta-te em fidelidade.Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

4Então, deleita-te em Yahweh, e Ele te concederá os desejos do teu coração.Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

5Entrega os teus caminhos a Yahweh; confia Nele e Ele agirá em teu favor.Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.

6Ele demonstrará a tua justiça como a luz do dia e a tua inocência como o meio-dia.He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun.

7Aquieta-te perante Yahweh e espera pacientemente por Ele. Não te enfureças se alguém obtiver sucesso no que fizer, nem se alguém realizar seus planos maldosos.Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men prosper in their ways, when they carry out wicked schemes.

8Não te ires nem te enfureças. Não te preocupes; isso só causa problemas.Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret—it can only bring harm.

9Os malfeitores serão eliminados, mas os que esperam em Yahweh herdarão a terra.For the evildoers will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

10Em pouco tempo, o homem mau desaparecerá; Tu olharás para o seu lugar, mas ele terá sumido.Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

11Mas os humildes herdarão a terra, e se deleitarão em paz abundante.But the meek will inherit the land and delight in abundant prosperity.

12O corrupto trama contra o justo e range seus dentes contra ele.The wicked scheme against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them,

13O Senhor ri dele, pois vê que seu dia está chegando.but the Lord laughs, seeing that their day is coming.

14Os ímpios desembainham suas espadas e preparam seus arcos para derrubar o oprimido e o necessitado, para matar os que são justos.The wicked have drawn the sword and bent the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.

15Suas espadas perfurarão seus próprios corações e seus arcos serão quebrados.But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

16Melhor é o pouco que o justo possui que a abundância de muitos corruptos.Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many who are wicked.

17Pois os braços dos corruptos serão quebrados, mas Yahweh sustenta os justos.For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

18Yahweh toma conta dos íntegros, dia após dia, e a herança deles será para sempre.The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will last forever.

19Eles não serão envergonhados quando os tempos forem ruins. Quando a fome vier, eles terão o suficiente para comer.In the time of evil they will not be ashamed, and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.

20Mas os homens maus perecerão. Os inimigos de Yahweh serão como o viço dos pastos; eles serão consumidos e desaparecerão como fumaça.But the wicked and enemies of the LORD will perish like the glory of the fields. They will vanish; like smoke they will fade away.

21O corrupto pega emprestado e não paga, mas o justo é generoso e dá.The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous are gracious and giving.

22Aqueles que são abençoados por Deus herdarão a terra; aqueles que são amaldiçoados por Ele serão eliminados.Surely those He blesses will inherit the land, but the cursed will be destroyed.

23É por Yahweh que os passos de um homem são estabelecidos, o homem em cujo caminho Ele tem prazer.The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD who takes delight in his journey.

24Se ele cair, não ficará prostrado, pois Yahweh o segura pela mão.Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the LORD is holding his hand.

25Eu era jovem e agora sou velho, mas nunca vi o justo ser abandonado, nem seus filhos implorando por pão.I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread.

26O dia todo ele é generoso e empresta, e seus filhos serão uma bênção.They are ever generous and quick to lend, and their children are a blessing.

27Volta-te para longe do mal e faze o que é certo; então, estará seguro para sempre.Turn away from evil and do good, so that you will abide forever.

28Pois Yahweh ama a justiça e não abandona seus seguidores fiéis. Eles são preservados para sempre, mas os descendentes dos ímpios serão eliminados.For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake His saints. They are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.

29Os justos herdarão a terra e nela viverão para sempre.The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.

30A boca do justo fala sabedoria e multiplica a justiça.The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.

31A lei de Deus está em seu coração; seus pés não escorregarão.The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not falter.

32O corrupto vigia o justo e busca matá-lo.Though the wicked lie in wait for the righteous, and seek to slay them,

33Yahweh não o abandonará nas mãos do perverso ou o condenará quando for julgado.the LORD will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned under judgment.

34Espera por Yahweh e permanece em Seu caminho, e Ele te levantará para que possuas a terra. Tu verás quando os ímpios forem eliminados.Wait for the LORD and keep His way, and He will raise you up to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

35Vi um homem corrupto e terrível se espalhar como uma árvore verdejante em seu solo nativo,I have seen a wicked, ruthless man flourishing like a well-rooted native tree,

36mas, quando passei novamente, ele não estava lá. Eu o procurei, mas ele não pôde ser encontrado.yet he passed away and was no more; though I searched, he could not be found.

37Observa o homem íntegro e presta atenção ao justo; há um futuro bom para o homem de paz.Consider the blameless and observe the upright, for posterity awaits the man of peace.

38Os pecadores serão totalmente destruídos; o futuro para os ímpios será eliminado.But the transgressors will all be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off.

39A salvação dos justos vem de Yahweh; Ele os protege em tempos de aflição.The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.

40Yahweh os ajuda e os resgata. Ele os resgata dos homens perversos e os salva porque se refugiam Nele.The LORD helps and delivers them; He rescues and saves them from the wicked, because they take refuge in Him.
