1တစ်နိ့၌ ယေသျှုသည် တစ်ခုသောအရပ်တွင် ဆုတောင်းလျက်နိန်တော်မူ၏။ ဆုတောင်းပြီးသောအခါ တပည့်တော်တစ်ဦးက “အသျှင်ဘုရား၊ ယောဟန်က မိမိတပည့်တိကို ဆုတောင်းနည်း သင်ပီးစွာပိုင် အကျွန်ရို့ကိုလည်း သင်ပီးပါ” ဟု လျှောက်ထား၏။One day in a place where Jesus had just finished praying, one of His disciples requested, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

2ယေသျှုကလည်း ထိုသူရို့အား၊ “သင်ရို့ ဆုတောင်းသောအခါ၊ “ ‘အဖ၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ နာမတော်အား ရိုသီလေးမြတ်ခြင်း ဟိပါစီသောဝ်၊ နိုင်ငံတော် တည်ထောင်ပါစီသောဝ်။So Jesus told them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.

3အကျွန်ရို့ လိုအပ်သော အစားအစာကို နိ့တိုင်း ပီးသနားတော်မူပါ။Give us each day our daily bread.

4သူတစ်ပါးက အကျွန်ရို့အား ပြစ်မှားသော အပြစ်တိကို၊ အကျွန်ရို့ ခွင့်ရွှတ်ပီးစွာပိုင်၊ အကျွန်ရို့ အပြစ်တိကိုလည်း ခွင့်ရွှတ်တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ရို့၌ ကြီးစွာသော စုံစမ်းသွီးဆောင်ခြင်းကို မရောက်ပါစီကေ့ ဟူ၍ မြွက်ဆိုကြလော့’ ” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’”

5တဖန် ယေသျှုက တပည့်တော်ရို့အား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား “သင်ရို့ထဲမှ တစ်ယောက်ယောက်က သန်းခေါင်ချိန်၌ မိတ်ဆွီတစ်ဦး၏ အိမ်သို့ လား၍ ‘အဆွီ၊ ကျေးဇူးပြု၍ အကျွန့်ကို မုန့်သုံးလုံး ချီးပီးပါ။Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose one of you goes to his friend at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

6အကျွန်၏ အဆွီသည် ခရီးလားယင်း အကျွန့်ပါးမာ ရောက်နိန်ပါသဖြင့် သူ့ကို ကျွေးစရာ တစ်ခုလေ့ မဟိ’ ဟု ဆိုသော်၊because a friend of mine has come to me on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him.’

7ထိုသူက ‘အကျွန့်ကို မနှောက်ယှက်ကေ့၊ တန်းခါး ပိတ်ထားဗျာယ်၊ အကျွန်နှင့် အကျွန့် သားသမီးရို့သည် အိပ်ယာဝင် နိန်ဗျာယ်။ အကျွန် ထပြီးလျှင် သင့်ကို တစ်ခုလေ့ မပီးနိုင်’ ဟု အိမ်ထဲက ပြောလိမ့်မည်။And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Do not bother me. My door is already shut, and my children and I are in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.’

8ငါပြောမည်၊ မိတ်ဆွီတစ်ဦးအနိန်နှင့် ထပြီး သင့်ကို မပီးကေလည်း၊ ရှက်ကြောက်ခြင်းမဟိဘဲ ဆက်တိုက် တောင်းနိန်သည်ဖြစ်၍ အိမ်သျှင်က ထပြီးလျှင် လိုအပ်သလောက် မုန့်တိကို ပီးလိမ့်မည်။I tell you, even though he will not get up to provide for him because of his friendship, yet because of the man’s persistence, he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

9“သင်ရို့ကို ငါပြောမည်။ တောင်းကြလော့၊ တောင်းလျှင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ ရှာကြလော့၊ ရှာလျှင် တွိ့ရလိမ့်မည်။ တန်းခါးကို ခေါက်ကြလော့၊ ခေါက်လျှင် တန်းခါးကို ဖွင့်လိမ့်မည်။So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

10အကြောင်းမူကား တောင်းသောသူတိုင်း ရလိမ့်မည်၊ ရှာသောသူ တွိ့လိမ့်မည်၊ တန်းခါးကို ခေါက်သောသူအား တန်းခါးကို ဖွင့်ပီးလိမ့်မည်။For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

11သင်ရို့၌ အဖဖြစ်သူသည် မိမိသားက ငါးတောင်းသောအခါ မြွီကို ပီးမည်လော။What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

12ကြက်ဥ တောင်းစွာကို ကင်းမီးကောက်ကို ပီးမည်လော။Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

13သင်ရို့သည် အဆိုးဖြစ်လျက်ပင် သားသမီးရို့အား ကောင်းသောအရာများ ပီးရမည်ကို သိကြလျှင်၊ ထိုမျှမက ကောင်းကင်ဘုံသျှင် အဖသည် တောင်းသောသူရို့အား သန့်ယှင်းသောဝိညာဉ်တော်ကို သာ၍ ပီးတော်မူမည် မဟုတ်လော” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

14ယေသျှုသည် ဆွံ့အသော နတ်ဆိုးကို နှင်ထုတ်တော်မူ၏။ နတ်ဆိုး ထွက်လားပြီးနောက် ဆွံ့အသောသူသည် စကားပြောလေ၏၊ ထို့ကြောင့် လူထုပရိသတ်ရို့သည် အံ့သြကြ၏။One day Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. And when the demon was gone, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowds were amazed,

15သို့သော် လူတချို့က “ဤသူသည် နတ်ဆိုးဘုရင် ဗေလဇေဗုလက ပီးသောတန်ခိုးဖြင့် နတ်ဆိုးတိကို နှင်ထုတ်နိန်သည်” ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။but some of them said, “It is by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons, that He drives out demons.”

16အခြားသော သူရို့က ကောင်းကင်က နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတစ်ခုကို တောင်းခံ၍ ကိုယ်တော့်ကို စုံစမ်းကြ၏။And others tested Him by demanding a sign from heaven.

17သို့သော် ယေသျှုသည် ထိုသူရို့၏ အကြံအစည်ကို သိတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ ထိုသူရို့အား “မိမိအတွင်းမှာ ဆန့်ကျင်ကွဲပြားနိန်သော ဇာတိုင်းနိုင်ငံ မဆို ပျက်စီးလားဖို့ရာ ဖြစ်တေ။ မိမိအတွင်း၌ ဆန့်ကျင်ကွဲပြားနိန်သော အိမ်ထောင်စု တစ်ခုသည်လည်း ကျဆုံးလားဖို့ရာ ဖြစ်တေ။Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and a house divided against a house will fall.

18ယေဇူးနန့် စာတန်၏နိုင်ငံသည်လည်း အချင်းချင်း ဆန့်ကျင်တိုက်ခိုက်နိန်ကြသော အုပ်စုများ ဟိလျှင် ထိုနိုင်ငံသည် ဇာပိုင် ရပ်တည်နိုင်ဖို့လဲ။ သင်ရို့က ငါသည် ဗေလဇေဗုလက ပီးသောတန်ခိုးဖြင့် နတ်ဆိုးတိကို နှင်ထုတ်နိန်သည်ဟု ဆိုကတ်တေ။If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? After all, you say that I drive out demons by Beelzebul.

19အကယ်၍ ငါသည် ဗေလဇေဗုလက ပီးသောတန်ခိုးဖြင့် နတ်ဆိုးတိကို နှင်ထုတ်နိန်သည်ဟု ဆိုလျှင်၊ သင်ရို့၏ တပည့်ရို့သည် နတ်ဆိုးကို ဇာပိုင် နှင်ထုတ်ကတ်စွာလဲ။ ယင်းကြောင့် သူရို့သည် မှားယွင်းနိန်ကြောင်းကို သင်ရို့၏တပည့်ရို့က သက်သီပြလျက်ဟိ၏။And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.

21“ခွန်အားကြီးသောသူတစ်ယောက်သည် လက်နက်အစုံအလင်နှင့် မိမိအိမ်ကို စောင့်ကြပ်နိန်သောအခါ သူ၏ ဥစ္စာပစ္စည်းများသည် လုံခြုံလျက်ဟိ၏။When a strong man, fully armed, guards his house, his possessions are secure.

22သို့သော်လည်း သူ့ထက် ခွန်အားကြီးသောသူတစ်ယောက်သည် သူ့ကို တိုက်ခိုက်၍ အနိုင်ရသောအခါ သူသည် ထိုသူအားကိုးသည့် လက်နက်များကို သိမ်းယူပြီး၊ ထိုသူ၏ ဥစ္စာပစ္စည်းတိကိုလည်း ခွဲဝီကြလိမ့်မည်။”But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted, and then he divides up his plunder.

23“ငါနန့်အတူ မဟိသောသူသည် ငါ့ကို ဆန့်ကျင်သောသူဖြစ်၏။ ငါနန့်အတူ တစ်စုတည်း မဟိသောသူသည်လည်း ဖြန့်ကြဲနိန်သောသူဖြစ်၏” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

24“နတ်ဆိုး တစ်ကောင်သည် လူထဲက ထွက်လားပြီးလျှင် ခြောက်သွိ့သောအရပ်၌ လှည့်လည်ကာ နားခိုရာ ရှာနိန်၏။ ရှာလို့ မတွိ့သောအခါ ‘ငါ ထွက်လာခသည့်အိမ်ကို ပြန်လားရဖို့’ ဟု ဆို၏။When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’

25ထိုနတ်ဆိုးသည် ထိုအိမ်သို့ ရောက်လာသည့်အခါ အိမ်သည် သန့်ယှင်းလျက်ဟိသည်ကို တွိ့ရ၍၊On its return, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.

26သူသည် လား၍ မိမိထက် သာ၍ ဆိုးရွားသော တခြားနတ်ဆိုး ခုနစ်ကောင်ကို ခေါ်လာပြီးလျှင် သူရို့သည် ထိုနီရာ၌ ဝင်ရောက် နီထိုင်ကြလေ၏။ ဤသို့ဖြင့် ထိုလူ၏ နောက်မှ ဖြစ်လာသော အခြေအနေသည် ရှိ့က ဖြစ်ခသော အခြေအနေထက် သာ၍ ဆိုးလေ၏” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first.”

27ယေသျှုသည် ဤအကြောင်းအရာကို ဟောပြောနိန်စဉ် လူအုပ်ထဲမှ မိန်းမကြီးတစ်ယောက်က “အသျှင့်ကို မွီးဖွား၍ ပြုစုစောင့်ရှောက်သော မိခင်သည် မင်္ဂလာဟိပါ၏” ဟု ဟစ်အော်ပြောလေ၏။As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and blessed are the breasts that nursed You!”

28သို့ရာတွင် ယေသျှုက “ဘုရားသခင်၏ နှုတ်ကပါတ်တော်ကို ကြားရ၍ လိုက်နာသောသူသည် သာ၍ မင်္ဂလာဟိ၏” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလေ၏။But He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

29လူထုပရိသတ်ရို့သည် များပြားလာကြသောအခါ ယေသျှုက “ဤသူရို့သည် ဆိုးယုတ်သောအမျိုး ဖြစ်ကြ၏၊ သူရို့သည် နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတစ်ခုကို တောင်းဆိုကြ၏။ ယေဒါလည်း ယောန၏ နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာမှတစ်ပါး ဇာနိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကိုမှ သူရို့ကို ပြလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်။As the crowds were increasing, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.

30ယောနသည် နိနေဝေမြို့သားတိအတွက် နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့ လူသားသည် ဤသူရို့အတွက် နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so the Son of Man will be a sign to this generation.

31တရားစီရင်တော်မူရာ နိ့၌ ယှေဘပြည်က ဘုရင်မသည် ထရပ်ပြီးလျှင် ဤသူရို့ကို ပြစ်ဒဏ်စီရင်လိမ့်မည်။ ဇာကြောင့်ဆိုသော် ယှေဘပြည်က ဘုရင်မသည် သျှောလမုန်မင်းကြီး၏ ပညာစကားကို နားထောင်ရန် အလွန်ကွာဝီးလျက်ဟိသောမိမိ၏ တိုင်းပြည်မှ လာရောက်လေ၏။ သျှောလမုန်ထက် ကြီးမြတ်သောသူသည် ဤအရပ်၌ ဟိ၏။The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.

32တရားစီရင်တော်မူရာ နိ့ရက်၌ နိနေဝေမြို့သားတိက ထရပ်ပြီး ဤလူတိကို ပြစ်ဒဏ်စီရင်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ဇာကြောင့်ဆိုသော် ယောနသည် ဟောပြောစဉ်တွင် နိနေဝေမြို့သားတိသည် နောင်တရကြလေ၏။ ယောနထက် ကြီးမြတ်သောသူသည် ဤအရပ်၌ ဟိ၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.

33“ဆီမီးခွက်ကို ထွန်း၍ တောင်း အောက်၌ ထားလေ့မဟိ၊ ဝင်လာသောသူတိ အလင်းကို မြင်စီခြင်းငှာ မီးတင်ခုံထက်၌သာ တင်ထားလေ့ဟိ၏။No one lights a lamp and puts it in a cellar or under a basket. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.

34သင်၏မျက်စိသည် သင့်ခန္ဓာကိုယ်၏ မီးခွက်ဖြစ်၏။ သင့်မျက်စိကြည်လင်လျှင် သင့်တစ်ကိုယ်လုံးသည်လည်း လင်းလျက်ဟိ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် သင်၏ မျက်စိမကောင်းလျှင်မူကား သင့်တစ်ကိုယ်လုံးသည် မှောင်လျက်ဟိ၏။Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness.

35ထို့ကြောင့် သင်ရို့၌ဟိသော အလင်းသည် အမှောင်မဖြစ်စီဖို့ သတိပြုကတ်ပါ။Be careful, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

36အကယ်၍ သင့်ခန္ဓာတစ်ကိုယ်လုံးသည် အလင်း၌ ဟိလျှင် မှောင်မိုက်ဟူ၍ မဟိဘဲ ဆီမီးခွက်၏အလင်းသည် လင်းလက်နိန်သကဲ့သို့ သင်၏ ခန္ဓာကိုယ်တစ်ခုလုံးသည်လည်း လင်းလက်နိန်လိမ့်မည်” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။So if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, you will be radiant, as though a lamp were shining on you.”

37ယေသျှုသည် မိန့်တော်မူပြီးသောအခါ၊ ဖာရိယှဲတစ်ယောက်သည် ကိုယ်တော့်ကို မိမိနှင့်အတူ စားသောက်တော်မူရန် ပင့်ဖိတ်လေ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့် ကိုယ်တော်သည် သူ၏အိမ်သို့ကြွ၍ စားပွဲ၌ ထိုင်တော်မူ၏။As Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee invited Him to dine with him; so He went in and reclined at the table.

38ယေသျှုသည် အစာကို မသုံးဆောင်မှီ လက်ကိုဆီးကြောခြင်း ပြုတော်မမူသည်ကို ဖာရိယှဲသည် မြင်သောအခါ အံ့သြလေ၏။But the Pharisee was surprised to see that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.

39ထို့ကြောင့် သခင်ဘုရားက၊ “သင်ရို့ ဖာရိယှဲတိက လောင်ဗွန်း၊ ခွက်တိကို အပြင်ဖက်၌သာ စင်ကြယ်အောင် ဆီးကြောသော်လည်း အတွင်း၌မူကား သင်ရို့သည် လောဘကြီးခြင်း၊ ဆိုးညစ်ခြင်းများဖြင့် ပြည့်နှက်လျက်ဟိ၏။Then the Lord said, “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.

40အချင်းလူမိုက်ရို့၊ အပြင်ဖက်ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်သည် အတွင်းဖက်ကိုလည်း ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသည် မဟုတ်လော။You fools! Did not the One who made the outside make the inside as well?

41ယေဒါလည်း သင်ရို့၏ လောင်ဗွန်းနှင့် ခွက်တိ၌ဟိသော အရာတိကို ဆင်းရဲသားရို့အား ပီးကမ်းကြလော့။ ထိုသို့ပြုလျှင် အရာအားလုံးသည် သင်ရို့အတွက် သန့်ယှင်းလိမ့်မည်” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။But give as alms the things that are within you, and behold, everything will be clean for you.

42“ဖာရိယှဲရို့၊ သင်ရို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာဟိကြ၏။ သင်ရို့သည် ဟင်းသီးဟင်းရွက်များနှင့် အခြားဆီးဖက်ဝင် အရွက်အမျိုးမျိုးကို ဆယ်ဖို့တစ်ဖို့ ပီးလှူကြသော်လည်း တရားသဖြင့်စီရင်ခြင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်အား ချစ်ခြင်းတိကို ဥပေက္ခာပြုထားကြ၏။ အခြားအရာတိကို ဥပေက္ခာမပြုဘဲ၊ ဤအရာတိကို ကျင့်သုံးသင့်၏။”Woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithes of mint, rue, and every herb, but you disregard justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former.

43“ဖာရိယှဲရို့၊ သင်ရို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာဟိ၏။ သင်ရို့သည် တရားဇရပ်တိ၌ မြင့်မြတ်သောနီရာတိကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ စျီးထဲ၌ ရိုသီစွာ နှုတ်ဆက်ခြင်းကိုလည်းကောင်း နှစ်သက်ကြ၏။Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the chief seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.

44သင်ရို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာဟိကြ၏။ သင်ရို့သည် အမှတ်အသားမဟိသော သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းနှင့် တူကြ၏။ လူရို့သည် ထိုတွင်းထက်မှ လားလာကြသော်လည်း သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းမှန်း မသိကြ” ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without even noticing.”

45ကျမ်းတတ်ဆရာတိထဲမှ တစ်ယောက်က၊ “ဆရာ၊ ဤသို့ မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား အကျွန်ရို့ကိုလည်း စော်ကားရာ ကျပါ၏” ဟု လျှောက်၏။One of the experts in the law told Him, “Teacher, when You say these things, You insult us as well.”

46ယေသျှုကလည်း၊ “ကျမ်းတတ်ဆရာရို့၊ သင်ရို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာဟိကြ၏။ ထမ်းရခက်သော ဝန်ထုပ်တိကို လူတိကို ထမ်းစီပြီးလျှင်၊ သင်ရို့ကိုယ်တိုင်က ထိုဝန်ထုပ်တိကို လက်ဖျားနှင့်တောင် မတို့ကတ်။“Woe to you as well, experts in the law!” He replied. “For you weigh men down with heavy burdens, but you yourselves will not lift a finger to lighten their load.

47သင်ရို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာဟိကြ၏။ သင်ရို့သည် မိမိရို့အဖိုးအဖီးတိ သတ်ခသော ပရောဖက်တိအတွက် တင့်တယ်သော အုတ်ဂူတိကို တည်ဆောက်ပီးကြ၏။Woe to you! For you build tombs for the prophets, but it was your fathers who killed them.

48ထို့ကြောင့် သင်ရို့၏ အဖိုးအဖီးတိ ကျူးလွန်ခသောအမှုတိ၌ သင်ရို့က အလိုတူအလိုပါ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ သင်ရို့ အဖိုးအဖီးရို့က ပရောဖက်တိကိုသတ်ပြီး သင်ရို့က အုတ်ဂူတိကို တည်ဆောက်ပီးကြ၏။So you are witnesses consenting to the deeds of your fathers: They killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.

49ယင်းအတွက်ကြောင့် ဘုရားသခင်သည် မိမိ၏ ဉာဏ်ပညာအားဖြင့် ‘ငါသည် ပရောဖက်တိ၊ တမန်တော်တိကို ဤလူတိပါးသို့ စီရွှတ်မည်။ သူရို့သည်ကား တချို့ကို ညှည်းဆဲပြီးလျှင်၊ တချို့ကို သတ်ကြလိမ့်မည်’ ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and others they will persecute.’

For you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”

53ထိုအရပ်မှ ယေသျှုသည် ထွက်ကြွတော်မူသောအခါ၊ ဖာရိယှဲနှင့် ကျမ်းတတ်ဆရာရို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်အား ခါးသီးစွာ ဝေဖန်ပြောဆိုခြင်းကို စတင်ကြလေ၏၊ အကြောင်းအရာ များစွာကိုလည်း မိန်းမြန်းကာ၊As Jesus went on from there, the scribes and Pharisees began to oppose Him bitterly and to ply Him with questions about many things,

54နှုတ်တော်ထွက်စကားတွင် အမှားရှာ၍ ဖမ်းဆီးရန် ကြိုးစားကြလေ၏။waiting to catch Him in something He might say.
