1 GLT If, therefore, you were raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. BSB BSB: Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 GLT Think about the things above, not the things on the earth. BSB BSB: Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 GLT For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. BSB BSB: For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 GLT When Christ, your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. BSB BSB: When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 GLT Put to death, therefore, the members{ that are} on the earth— sexual immorality, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and envy, which is idolatry, BSB BSB: Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 GLT because of which the wrath of God is coming, BSB BSB: Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.

8 GLT But now you must also lay aside all{ such things}— wrath, anger, evil desire, slander,{ and} obscene speech from your mouth. BSB BSB: But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
9 GLT Do not lie to one another, having taken off the old man with its practices BSB BSB: Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,
10 GLT and having put on the new man being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one having created it; BSB BSB: and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
11 GLT where there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman, but Christ{ is} all, and in all. BSB BSB: Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free, but Christ is all and is in all. 12 GLT Therefore, as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, put on inner parts of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness,{ and} patience, BSB BSB: Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 GLT bearing with one another and being gracious to each other if someone may have a complaint against someone else; just as also the Lord forgave you, so also should you. BSB BSB: Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
14 GLT But above all these things, love, which is the bond of perfection. BSB BSB: And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.
15 GLT And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and become thankful. BSB BSB: Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
16 GLT Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns,{ and} spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. BSB BSB: Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 GLT And everything, whatever you might do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. BSB BSB: And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
18 GLT Wives, be subjected to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 GLT Husbands, love your wives, and do not be embittered against them. BSB BSB: Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 GLT Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is pleasing in the Lord. BSB BSB: Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21 GLT Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they may not be discouraged. BSB BSB: Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.
22 GLT Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things, not with eyeservice as people pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. BSB BSB: Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only to please them while they are watching, but with sincerity of heart and fear of the Lord.
23 GLT Whatever you might do, work from the soul as to the Lord and not to men, BSB BSB: Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men,
24 GLT knowing that you will receive from the Lord the reward of the inheritance. You are serving the Lord Christ. BSB BSB: because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
25 GLT For the one doing unrighteousness will receive what he did unrighteously, and there is no favoritism. BSB BSB: Whoever does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.
